Beautiful place with great prices, would certainly recommend.

Amazing find which made our day. I feel I should keep it secret so it doesn't get too crowded. We walked round the lake, enjoyed bird watching and the water activities followed by coffee overlooking the lake. One way system for cars around lake new but makes it more relaxing with separate cycle way.

Lovely cafe in a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. Staff warm and welcoming, friendly service. Great for coffee and toast.

Excellent service & lovely food

Excellent panini - comes with some salad, coleslaw & crisps (although we upgraded the crisps to chips for £2 extra each). We can both recommend the brie, bacon & cranberry and the chicken, bacon & cheese! Both were really tasty! Excellent service, all the staff had smiles on their faces, all really friendly and polite. Top notch! Good atmosphere with seating both indoors & outdoors overlooking the lake. We were lucky with the timing getting a seat as a couple were just leaving. I can imagine this place can get busy during peak times. Dogs welcome outside only.

We visited the top restaurant twice during our recent holiday in the area, both times it was very good and excellent service and food. It’s certainly a little gem of the area! Plenty of friendly and attentive staff 🙂

Lovely place to go for a relaxing walk around the lake and have an ice cream, coffee, or something to eat, not to mention feed the ducks with the kids.

Looks like a wonderful place but very misleading! Says on the sign outside by the steps that it’s open 7 days a week as well as on Google maps so we detoured to it to find that it’s closed on Mondays. Very disappointing.

On holiday in the area we decided, thanks to Google Maps, to try out the Lakeside Cafe. We had food to take away, we were very happy with our choices! Chicken wrap, which was huge and tasty, homemade coleslaw was really good. While waiting for my order, I could see the food coming out for the people sitting inside, everything looked very good. Staff were very helpful to change a drink after I ordered. The location is fantastic, as it was a nice day parking near the cafe was not easy but we took our food, and found our way around the lake, where there was plenty of parking. It's a one way road, so there is plenty of room. Peaceful location, overlooking the lake and the cafe building, which is really large and plenty of seating inside. Would happily return when we're back in the area.

Only bought ice creams in the gift shop. Reasonably priced ice cream with a Mr. Whippy machine or freshly made multi flavours from the fridge. Not particularly busy but it did take some time to be served.

Gorgeous cafe by the lake, good selection of activities including kids play area and a nice look level walk around the lake. Only downside was that the mens toilets were a bit of a state. Would definitely come back.

The food here was delicious. The waiting time was a little bit longer than they stated when purchasing but it was very nice and worth the wait once it did arrive. The place is very clean and the staff were friendly. Plenty of seats inside and outside. There is a free car park here.

Excellent food, great variety on the menu, and extras on a specials board. Portions were wonderfully generous. The quality and value for money were superb. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Service was quick. All around excellent experience. We'll definitely be back again. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating areas. Wheelchair accessible via a ramp.

The staff are absolutely fantastic! So kind and helpful! The entire area is so well thought out and welcoming. We only popped in to have a quick look and ended up booking a taster session for our three kids - which they absolutely loved! We're planning to go back for another session. Would recommend always :)

Had a breakfast here today and it was probably the best cooked breakfast I have ever had. You could tell that the ingredients were high quality but they were also cooked beautifully. The service was just as good. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. Food and coffees arrived quickly. Honestly could not recommend enough!

Lovely breakfast. Very well presented and fast, efficient and friendly service. As others have said already there are cheaper places in town but for me the quality, location and ambience are worth forking out a bit extra.

Lovely place to take the family. Clean with lots of free facilities. With boat and dragon pedalos for hire. Ice creams, coffee and tourist paraphernalia in the shop. Just about acceptable toilets and free parking make it a lovely place for a family picnic.

Lovely little cafe on the lake, brilliant staff who were very nice and personable, and also cooked a portion of chips for the family event though the kitchen had shut. The cakes are gorgeous with a brilliant selection, and the barista coffee is lovely too! Great selection of hot & cold drinks for all the family too! Pair that with a sunny day in the sandpit outside and the pedalos on the water and you've for a brilliant day for the whole family!

Recently had breakfast at Lakeside Cafe and Catering. Prices are a bit high but the food and service are worth it. Nice staff and good selection of drinks. Definitely recommend!

We found this place by accident when looking for somewhere scenic to have lunch. A very nice find being right beside the lake giving lovely views whilst eating, great for a walkabout too. Food and drinks are ordered at the counter and delivered to the table. Plenty if choice on the menu and we ordered Lamb Burgers with salad and chips. Food freshly cooked and nicely presented. The chips were crispy coated and delicious, the salad had a grain dressing and complimented the food perfectly. The Lamb burger however was a strange one. Had a strange taste and texture unlike any lamb burger I've ever had before. Really need to phone to ask the ingredients. The pot of tea stayed hot throughout and was perfect. There was a lovely selection of cakes for dessert, had a hard time chosing between them. We will definitely head back to this lovely place again.

What an absolute beautiful place. They have everything, toilets, cafe, shop. Even rent out bikes & boats. 10/10

Visited with my dog. Dogs only allowed on terrace which is fine. Unfortunately I don't like to tie dog up and leave her so therefore could not go in to order anything as I was on my own . Tried in vain for 15 minutes to order something by catching eye of serving staff but ended up leaving. I don't know if you can order from the table but was extremely disappointed.

Beautiful lakeside cafe serving snacks, lunch plates, coffee/cakes. Indoor seating and outside terrace overlooking the lake, perfect for a break and refreshments. The boathouse also offers pedalo hire.

Hidden gem!! Beautiful walk by the river too through and surrounded by the trees. Stop and find calmness. Afternoon tea is Beautiful and never seem to run out of tea either! Huge bonus!

Couldn't fault it,very quick service,we didn't have to book,though maybe weekends you might have to. Lovely food,staff were very engaging in a nice way.

Diverted to this location as our normal cafe was closed. What a stunning location, lots going on. Sit on the balcony and you feel like you’re at a yacht club or cricket pavilion. Great homemade products. Price is a bit steep but again quality with the food and service. How ever we did have to question where our order was as it seamed to being forgotten about. It was sorted in the end. I will certainly be back and hopefully enjoy more of the location next time

Fab buffet, home made including lovely occassion cake, service quick and helpful staff couldn't have been better.

Nice views and good coffee. Queuing took a long time though. No vegan breakfast options and they don’t start lunch until 12 so avoid if vegan and wanting food for breakfast or brunch.

We had a small full English breakfast that was still enough. The service was excellent along with the atmosphere and views. Just what we needed as a great start to the day.

Love this quaint cafe by the lakes, had nice seating pods outside directly in front cafe entrance, and has nice hot chocolate, and Cakes, Nutella doughnut was lovely. Chocolate brownies was nice moist too. Sells ice-cream, and yes, coffee, before 3pm served food but wouldn't know keep missing that time come afterwards after been out all day. As only takes 20 mins walk around the lake. Have something to eat, and buy bird food feed the swans, geese, and Ducks. Had nice gift shop inside had lot nice things to buy. Milkshakes look lovely but bit overpriced for what they are.

Excellent service, spotlessly clean, staff very friendly, highly recommended.

This one of a number of visits but two quite close together. We notice a change in attitude from some staff. Sorry to say, grumpiness, unwilling to make minor menu changes, 'upgrading' menu items that are unacceptable, menu items not delivered. We know you are busy; we know you are on your feet all day; we know and sympathise. We have run our own businesses and these things are for certain: When you are flooded with customers, there is a danger staff don't have to try to be good. When floor managers are grumpy and awkward with customers, that sets the staff standard. When I see that you can't be bothered about me; why on earth should I be bothered about you. Poor staff. Poor attitude. We will not return because quite close by there are staff who value their customers, and that's where we will be. Sorry for all your good staff, not their fault that their leaders fall short, but that is how business works. No longer a top spot.

Food was excellent, very generous portion sizes. Friendly staff. Beautiful views of the lake especially if you sit on the terrace.

It was a lot better than the previous Tennant, staff friendly, light and airy, busy due to its popularity, I will definately go again.

Really lovely place to visit especially when you’re with youngest! But a souvenirs prices are little be too high. The crew members could smile at list when they dealing with customers , would be lovely!!

A really enjoyable experience, the food and staff were lovely. My only warning is... it is a busy place and were full at points during our meal, so would recommend booking wherever possible. The ham, eggs and chips were delicious and the chicken burger was equally as tasty.

Great bacon and sausage sandwiches!

Asked for gluten free cheese n onion toastie and burger, waited 45 mins by which time the pot of Tea was cold. Burger was covered with cheese which I didn't order and my wife's toastie was cheese n tomato. They took them both away and came back with a burger which was fine but the so called toastie was barely warm and the cheese had not even melted. We all make mistakes I would have thought a gesture of a hot pot of Tea would have gone a long way in trying to make amends.

Beautiful location with very friendly staff, excellent service. Only had toasted tea cake and coffee, served to our table overlooking the lake, all piping hot.

Lakeside Cafe with fab views over the lake, friendly team and warm bright open atmosphere. Pretty standard menu with changing specials, all excellent quality, very quick, very nice! Would definitely recommend. Prices reasonable (though you can find cheaper in less exquisite cafes in town). Down underneath the Cafe are a series of units where you can hire boats, bikes etc. the fishing club and boat club operate from here and there is a shop selling souvenirs, snacks, ice cream, hot and cold drinks for takeaway, bird food to give to the ducks and swans. Lakeside Boathouse. Outdoor and indoor toilets available.

The cafe was nice, the staff were very friendly, unfortunately the food was the let down, I ordered the large breakfast, the eggs were raw, and there were hairs in my beans. If it wasnt for this experience I would probably go again, the staff were very good, couldn't apologise more and were happy to refund me.

I’ve been to the lakeside cafe a couple of times to break the journey between Tenby and Liverpool and I love it, food delicious staff really friendly . Very reasonable prices. Relaxed atmosphere. Plus lovely clean toilet facilities and a lovely location. Will be making it my regular stop off point from now on.

Lovely Cafe by the Lakeside and they offer what you'd expect in style. They also have a wide variety of cakes and cater for gluten free and vegan which is always nice Not to mention they are located in a great place with the lake outside which really adds to the calm beautiful Welsh atmosphere

Very enjoyable lunch. Lovely views over the lake.

We've been visiting here almost weekly since moving to the area 2 years ago. It's one of the few places open 7 days a week, the prices are reasonable, the coffee good and cake choice & quality above average. But what lets it down massively is that dogs aren't allowed inside, despite it often being half empty. We've sat outdoors on the balcony in minus 2, just so we can have a walk and cuppa with our dogs, (who we can't leave on their own). To top it off, there's only one table undercover, often used as a staff table (even when there are customers outdoors) and littered with cigarette butt's (from staff), which we have to clean up ourselves each time we go. It's time they got with the program a bit and started allowing dogs inside with their owners. At least clean up a bit outside, and put your customers before your chainsmoking staff.

Had a lovely pre booked Xmas lunch on Saturday evening for 18 of us, the meal was delicious and hot, the service very good and no one had to wait, friendly staff who were helpful and accomodating, lovely atmosphere and set up well, would definitely book again for any occasion, thankyou lakeside xxx

Dreadful in every possible way. Very rude member of staff who wanted to take an entire plate - per - customer Christmas booking from the customer infront while we were waiting in line for two drinks. 5 members of staff behind the counter and 4 staring into space. Made to sit alone in the glass conservatory and had the door shut on us. Also every table has a reservation label for people who aren't due for hours. Nice coffee & views of the lake but shan't be returning.

Being the end of September, it Was chilly sat outside, but as we had our dog.. we weren't allowed inside. Which was shocking, as we are use to a more dog friendly atmosphere, from our local area. Maybe missing something 🤔
