Grosvenor Chippery in Powys

The other chippy near to Tesco gets mad busy, so go to this one for faster service as it is on the edge of town and far less hectic.

I went in to order and eventually they got what I wanted. Beautifully cooked as the fryer knew what he was doing. Enjoyed it a lot. The downside was an arrogant man demanding my money before I had finished ordering.

I am a regular visitor to this Chippery. Always satisfied and the quality of the fish is excellent. This an excellent establishment with friendly staff freshly prepared fish and a good menu. Prices very competitive.

Freshly fried proper fish and chips and many other meals on their menu. Generous helpings, reasonably priced, friendly service. We took ours and ate by the nearby lake. Perfect!

I was travelling suddenly found that place i took food for my self and family food was very very fresh and with good quantity and nice

Passing through town and spotted this chippy, looked clean and inviting, with benches outside. Parked the bikes directly outside and placed our orders with the very friendly staff. They were happy to put fresh stuff in the fryer even though it was ten minutes to closing time! The food was top quality and well priced. I would happily recommend and return again.

We saw this fish & chip shop as we drove out of town and it looked very clean, I checked online and the reviews looked good so I drove the 7 miles back from our campsite and ordered 2 haddock and chips - I can only describe the meals as wonderful. The owner and his wife were very friendly and professional and couldn't be more helpful and the haddock was freshly cooked. They are open every day except Sunday we will return this Monday evening

Very large portions, don't go for anything other than small unless you have a very large appetite. Very reasonably priced and tasty. They do Cod roe which I sometimes have trouble getting. Would use again.

good fish genarous portions and not to expensive normal range of chip shop fare fish and chips seved in cardboard take out box that keeps food warmer longer than paper wrapping

Visited this establishment yesterday evening after walk around the lake. We ordered one portion of fish, chips, & mushy peas...which was well enough for two as the portion was huge!! Fish was lovely, and plentiful...soft batter...big chunks of meat. Chips were big and tasty...mush peas were fit!! Well worth a visit....

this chippy was the first we tried when moving to the area about 6 weeks ago. We have decided not to try the others as the service and food you get from these two lads is ace. We come from a area renowned for fish and chips ( prize winning establishments) so our expectations were high. We are slowly making our way through the menu and loving what we find, but the fish (portion size and light crispy batter) will always win over

Always pop in here about once a month. Can't believe there aren't any reviews. Super friendly staff, spotlessly clean and food to die for. Chips always perfect. Fish is beautiful, succulent and very tasty with gorgeous crispy batter. Who'd try other things on the menu as everything looks good, but can't ever get past the fish. Always freshly cooked and hot, and portions are very generous.
