Been coming here for a few years, food is always great however today I had one of the rudest and downright unpleasant member of staff ever, to the point where I had to say to my husband take over and pay because I was so angry, when trying to take my order she was shouting at me and quite aggressive, a lovely lad took over but nothing was said about her calling and shouting about me in the back. Very unpleasant and upsetting experience, I manage 2 teams of 15 staff, I would never let my staff speak to customers like that but obviously accepted in your premises as soon as I left she was straight back.

Second take away from here this week while on holiday, was not disappointed... well until I dropped my kebab on the floor and the dog helped himself... chips are amazing n chicken kebab I'd delicious 👌 It's a must visit chippy, thanx guys.

It's easily the best fish and chips in town

Having gluten free fish and chips when out and about is always a treat. Good service, tasty fish, value for money... and gluten free vinegar. Other GF options also available. (Thurs, Fri & Sat evenings).

This is more sentimental than any specific culinary innovation. No complaints of the food or price. Nice lovely staff and surroundings; great balance between soft core and out crispness of chips.

We called in and ordered 4 x fish and chips, 2 sausages and 2 curry sauce. I explained that we were staying about 5 miles away and could they double wrap them to keep them warm, which they did Everything was cooked fresh and ready in about 8 minutes We thoroughly enjoyed our piping hot tea when we got back to our chalet Would highly recommend this place

I'm going to be fair. It was a lovely meal, however the chips were rather soggy, and dry on the throat. The kebab wasn't bad but the onions! The onions! They were too spicy! 😂

Friendly staff and good hygiene. Very clean kitchen.

Ordered, fish, chips and a tray of chicken meat, got fish, chips and a tray of 90% soggy chips and 10% chicken. Unimpressed and underwhelmed.

Asked got gluten free chips for a Celiac. All went well until utensils for normal chips were used, questioned it. Got told no they are still gluteen free. (Contaminated with gluten) Please be careful.

Really nice chips, such a busy chipshop that they are usually lovely and fresh, the price is about right for the area and the staff are nice and friendly. One of the great things about this chipshop is that there is ample parking across the road making it easier to just pull up and queue, or pickup if you have phoned an order through.

Always good fresh tasty food and the staff are lovely, prices are reasonable and the portions are ample, the opening times are good but can be busy at peak times but definetly worth the wait

Stopped off randomly on the way past. Chips reminded me of my childhood chippy! The large chips should come with a warning though, there's enough there to feed four people 🤣

Service was quick. We ordered cod and chips, which were delicious - not greasy, good portions, and we were able to eat on one of the picnic tables outside. There is a car park opposite. Would recommend.

Stopped here on the way home from a trip to Scotland. It was around 7pm and had at least 2 hours still to drive. Staff were friendly and polite. Ordered Fish and chips X3. Got to say it was really fresh and the chips were the best I've had in years. Prices were very competitive. If I pass through again I will definitely stop. 100% recommend.

I always go for a burger box as you get burger chips and a drunk with this deal and its not to expensive the shop itself is always beautifully kept clean well done to them I'd recommend this chippy

Having visited this establishment on many previous occasions, we were disappointed that this time the fish was dry and the batter overcooked. It seemed that the fish had been twice cooked.

Only 15 minute wait for gf fish as they make the batter fresh. Very clean & friendly with good parking. We ordered for 8 people, generous portions and quick service. Food was delicious. Highly recommend for gf options.

Chips were not freshly cooked so not enjoyable.

This fish restaurant opens at 11.30 which is convenient. The batter was lovely and crispy and the fish was white. The chips were also good.

Just ordered 2 cod, jumbo in batter, large chips, small chips, peas, and gravy for 3 of us. Cod was amazing and the batter was perfectly crispy and the portion size of everything was really good.

Beautifully cooked fish and chips, extremely clean with good C19 protocols. Would highly recommend. The staff are friendly and helpful, great service all round. You have to try their Donar Kebabs, super fresh salad, which can be adjusted to your preference. The meat is well spiced and generous, also their selection of source is extraordinary, just ask . A small kebab gives you a days calories in one meal m

Flavoursome, large portions served very quickly. Friendly servers at the best takeaway in town ; on a nice night there is a pine picnic table on the pavement outside. If you want pituresque and tablecloths not the place for you but if you have worked up a hunger on a nature trail, cycle run or a hike this is for you. Value for money and guaranteed quality. Our local. You know what they say eat where the locals eat. Choose here.

Stingy Gits, went in for 2 jumbo sausages, large chips and a chilli sauce, ample size portions and well cook BUT chilli portion a let down(See Photo). Did have a bit of banter with lad (Pinocchio !) serving and he assured me it was full. Will recognise him next time as his nose grew an inch while assuring me of a pot full. Enjoyed chip supper

the owner has two shops both veryhigh quality food for each shop doesn't have the exact same menu they have slight changes like you can't get scallops in one but you can get southern fried chicken in the other the fish bar is the best of the 2 fresh food great service and fast .....

It was ok food was nice, lots of people visiting here, also it's next to the railway station so it's good if you have a long wait for the train

Chips hard ...disgusting curry sauce and fish was chewy

We visit this takeaway every year as we camp in a group nearby it's a great place to get fish & chips,kebabs, they even do gluten free 3 days a week.
