Great fish and chips. Huge portions!!

A great chippy on my doorstep! Been coming here for years. Fantastic value for money (portions are VERY generous) and such wonderful friendly staff. Also serve Chicken & Doner Kebabs and burgers too with lovely fresh salads. Highly recommend!

Biggest portion of chips ever and the nicest curry sauce. Had to wait a while and chips could have been crisper - thay all stuck to to chip paper unfortunately. Still yummy though.

Food is great! Service is poor. Staff just stand around and don’t make any effort to serve people. We only wanted a kebab, and we stood in the queue for almost 45mins. How Cwmphil makes ANY money, I’ll never know, because at the speed they move, they just only get to about 10 customers per night…

Amazing little chip shop , we had the pleasure of ordering a takeaway from this place . The large chips were massive enough to feed a small army , the fish was freshly coooked to order too , happy to recommend this fish and chip shop.to anyone in the area!!

Always a great place when I come to my family to stay a few days. One of the special treats is Fish and Chips from here. Always plentiful and delicious.

Lovely friendly staff, introduced us to Irish curry sauce via a sample. Fish was gorgeous not greasy and chips were freshly cooked.

Visiting South Wales for a week with my partner and her 2 teenagers. Got 2 x BIIIG fish and chips, doner kebab, cheesy chips, nuggets, sauces, the lot. All for £35. Spectacular fish and the best chips I've ever had. Absolutely bangin.

OMG what can I say. The best chip shop around. Portion size amazing, always freshly cooked, great value for money and tasty. What else can I say other than pay it a visit

Not nice at all, chips not cooked and chicken potion dry, wouldn't use again and would definitely not recommend, total waste of £6 went in the bin!!!!!!

large group of us were touring the beautiful local area a month ago. popped in this place and ordered 60 meals to be collected later that evening as we were told this is a busy place. Once we came to collect there was indeed a long que outside, our meals were ready. Once we got back to camp each meal was beautifully packed in individual cardboard boxes. food was pipping hot, chips were crisp and fresh, irish curry was AMAZING! one of the only food outlets in the area that can handle large orders. thankyou boss man, hope to be back next year. BRAVO!

Ordered food and it was gone off he said he always cooks it like that never had problem I've been regular here for 4yrs ordered same stuff never been like that absolutely disgusting

The chips always taste of fat and tasteless, the same with the gravy and curry sauce. The kebab gets sliced and then put on the grill so the kebab ends up being hard and rubbery.

very good covid safety measures in place. gutted no card payments are taken but i forgive them as our meals were fantastic as always. Keep up the great work guys

Great chippie, friendly service. Large portions. Food usually cooked to order, not left on shelves. Because of this waiting time can be a bit longer in peak periods. Food quality definitely worth the wait. Very clean - often see the staff cleaning and replacing drip trays while waiting for food to be cooked. Serve Fish,sausage, pies and pasties scampi along with special dishes. Kebab and salad - everything you would expect from a Welsh chip shop

Steadily been going down of late. Decided to treat the family to a chippy tea. Ordered for certain dietary restrictions which when we got back everything was all together where the meat was with the cheese and onion rissole making it inedible for this person spoiling their meal. Staff need retraining on whether to ask if customers want everything together or separate.

The fish and chips are excellent!!! I have not tried the other products, though I must say everything looks delicious! The food is not greasy/oily. Unfortunately the service last time I was there left a lot to be desired, when a member of the staff tuts when she has to cook me over £10 worth of fish and asks me if I really want the fish she now has to prepare for me and I'm in a fish shop it tends to ruffle my feathers a bit. I simply went to another fish bar that has served me with respect and in all honesty, better fish and chips as say unfortunate since the food is good. Hence reducing the rating to three stars.

By far the nicest donar kebab and chicken kebab in the area. Also a chippy with all the usual chippy food. Plenty of choices of sauce for kebab and various salad. They do burgers too.
