Amazing old school fish and chip shop. Food Amazing, home made curry sauce and mushy peas fantastic. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff. Best in town. Very reasonably priced.

Good old fashioned fish and chips. The owner was great and we had a good chat whilst we were waiting for our order to be cooked fresh. Real homemade peas and the nicest curry sauce. If you want great food, this is the place.

We were staying local and fancied some fish and chips, so headed to Newtown after looking at the reviews. Was not dissapointed. Really good portions, delicious fish and lovely crispy chips. Staff really friendlyand obvious that this is popular for a very good reason.

Been a regular customer for a number of years since a child. Friendly family couple with excellent service and plenty of conversation. Trained chef, both partners are friers. Plenty of home cooked dishes.

The fish was *great*, I can't set emphasise that enough. If I was judging entirely by the fish, I'd give them 5 stars. But the chips were very greasy, though.

The best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Really lovely service in a cosy neighbourhood. Not far from the park so you can eat your food by the river too.

Fantastic food,all homemade.Most things are cooked to order.Although the prices are a little more than other chip shops in the area it is worth paying a little more because the quality is excellent.By far the best fish and chip shop in Newtown.

Just scoffed chilli con carne & chips in a tray,delicious,yummy.

Loads of the locals love this place and people travel in from several miles away to eat from here due to the quality of the food on offer. The owners are well-known locally and are always friendly. Just double check when they are open, I believe they close on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Traditional chippy but with some excellent home made dishes by the owner who is a qualified chef. Chicken curry is a real treat and the Faggot Dinner is excellent. Highly recommend a visit.
