Booking hadn’t been written down when we arrived. Waited 2 hours for main food which meant the people who didn’t have starters sat hungry for 2 hours. When it did come it was a mediocre dry burger. Had to pay for anything else to arrive on the plate. Over cooked fries cost £6.50 to eat with the burger. The place was empty so no excuse for how long it took. Empty on a Saturday night speaks volumes. Horrified at the cost for 2 adults and a toddler who just had a £5 dish of pop corn chicken. Never again!

Waited 50 minutes for the food to arrive ... 2 orders were cold ....1 order came out much later than others ....2 orders of chips almost didn't arrive even after asking twice where they were .... The portions were small and nothing like pictures seen on other sites .... All of poor quality and mega expensive for what we had ....and then to be told dessert was fudge cake and no ice cream ! That was it ... We had booked this table 2 weeks in advance FGS !! Extremely disappointed

We were staying at the hotel and read the reviews but thought we would give it a go as I couldn’t find somewhere to have fish n chips that was not a take away. So I had the fish my partner the hunters chicken. Straw chips may not be everyone’s cup,of tea but do try the truffle and Parmesan cheese chips. I agree with the comments about the plates being light, but the food was good. Change the plates or rubber mats.. We had the worth its salt burger, which is good value and a rib eye steak which I helped to finish. Personally would prefer fries rather than straw chips, we didn’t have a dessert as full. Forgot to say the side of fried gherkins were great. For a bbq restaurant, would like to see other bbq staples on there such as brisket, though available as part of a burger, burnt ends, short ribs etc.

Made an off the cuff visit here yesterday and was really impressed. I won't go into too much detail but all 4 burgers at our table were absolutely delicious, service was quick (I will say it wasn't busy) and I thought reasonably priced. Read a previous review which claimed most burgers were 20 pound each which isn't correct, all burgers seemed to be priced in the £10 - £13 region?? Anyway food was fantastic, service was great so I thought I'd write a fair review. I live slap bang in the middle of Llandrindod and Hereford and tbqh I'd rather drive to Worth Your Salt than the other popular burger place in Hereford (I won't mention the name 😂)

Arrived on time, ordered drinks, ordered another 15 minutes later and it never arrived, ordered our starters and mains and 50 minutes later still nothing, we were told it’s all freshly cooked food, as being in the trade all of the starters are deep fried and that’s where the problem is, when we walked out we noticed the waitress outside smoking, says it all really

I really wanted to write a great review about this place. But sadly I can't. Worth Its Salt (WIS) fist opened in Llandrindod about 6 years ago, at a different address. It offered gourmet burgers in a hip setting and competed with local places of this type like Beefy Boys in Hereford. Unfortunately it didn't survive the pandemic. Now it has reopened in a different location. And there are big differences. The new room is long and narrow, and feels more like a staff canteen than a restaurant. It's pretty basic. Also while still serving burgers they now also sell steaks, pies, and so on. So no longer a niche eatery. And it has got very expensive. Most burgers will set you back £20 with basic fries costing another £3. Yes the cutlery is paper light and the napkins are so thin you can alomost see through them. Food comes on trendy whie and blue enamel plates which are light and thin, and so small that my side salad almost ended up on the table. The wine menu looked interesting until I was told that pretty much none of the reds were actually available. I was offered pinot grigio or chardonnay instead of my main choice - and they're obviously white. When I eventually chose one they did have in stock the one they brought me was different. The old WIS was packed most nights - they turned people away at the weekend. Last night at 8.00 p.m. there were less than 20 people in a room that could easily seat 100. This is such a shame because the town desperately needs a good place to eat. But this sadly isn't it.

Much quieter than McDonald's opposite. Prefer Burger King's food anyway. Mens toilets could be a bit cleaner.
