The best restaurants in Scotland

Tiny hidden away place. Park for free outside the door and get inside. I've never been to a place that sells food and has a full gym right next to where you eat. I love pumping a bit of iron so it doesn't bother me but I've just never seen this setup before. As far as gym equipment goes it's all the proper Olympic bars and decent racks, only 8 quid a session. Anyway back to the food. Quite a large menu to choose from but be aware there are only like 2 tables if you are sitting in. Food was all fine nothing mind blowing but fine. Would come back to hit the iron maybe.

I've been to various places in Italy and this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. BURSTING with flavour! Wee bit ragin' I waited so long to try Sal's. Ooft.

We drove from Melrose to Edinburgh just to taste the food from this lovely restaurant. Me n my husband love our Goan food it feels homely. It was worth a one hour drive to Edinburgh. The food was lovely, more over the Goan owner of that shop she was very welcoming . For a moment we felt like we were back in Goa. I guess it’s not just the food I mean of course the food was delicious, mouth watering but the customer service was beautiful. She made us feel welcomed in a Goan style 😅 . I would definitely recommend every Goans to visit this place and try our Goan food from here . Great calm place with amazing drinks. They have a good range of alcohol at good quality. Very appealing interior. Person who designed it knew what they were doing. Staff is very polite and always smiling. I can't express enough how impressed I am.

Best Chinese take away by far. Can’t beat them. You know you are eating proper Chinese food prepared by Chinese people. I order from them almost every week. Love their food.

Excellent, friendly service and fantastic food.

Great service. They make lovely coffee and hot and cold sandwiches. The shop is really 3 in 1 as it has a gift shop and a toy and card shop on either side. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
