The best restaurants in Tweeddale West Scottish Borders Lowlands

Very welcoming and friendly staff, great service and amazing food. We ate in the restaurant, which was nicely decorated. There was steady flow of take away customers, many of which seemed to be local, regular customers.

This looks a lovely deli. There is loads of choice and beautiful looking savoury pastries, sandwiches and salads. It is very busy at lunch time and not easy to get a table and prices are fairly high. Looking from a gluten free lens, there is choice however generally plain gluten free store bought loaf for sandwiches etc. Cakes are marked low gluten rather than gluten free so I'd be wary as a celiac

Nothing fancy just excellent pub food. Steak and ale pie was particularly good. Service was attentive. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely quiet b&b, rooms are to the back of the bar/restaurant so off the road which was lovely. Room was spotless and always cleaned before we got back ! Food in the restaurant was lovely service was good. Further from Edinburgh then we had realised but fault of ours. Perfect for a stop off heading to the city

We just sneaked in before they finished serving. We were so hungry and an authentic lasagne, with delicious garlic bread was just what I needed! The atmosphere was great with beautiful smells, bikes hanging on the wall and a nice chat with the owner. Franco... Grazier mille!

Take away pizza was cold and really lacking in flavour. Toppings were sparse and there was very little sauce and cheese. Really pretty disappointing

Excellent value. I had a beautiful fresh fish, crispy batter and perfect chips - what else is there to say? One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a very long time

On a rainy day in Peebles this was the first café we came too.So pleased we did.We both had a toasted sandwich, lots of filling.Also had a piece of coffee & walnut cake,an Ecclefechan, 1 latte,1 pot of tea.Total cost £17,very good value for money.

With restaurants closed tonight I decided to try the new takeaway service at Peebles Golf Club. The food was as good as ever and the addition of cocktails fab. I ordered the Pornstar Martini which tasted good but the Gin Sour was something else. All delivered easily to the door. Great night in when you can’t go out. Thanks to staff at Harrys View and the Chief Cocktail maker Joe. I’ll be be next week, Hazel x

We order from here most weeks as the food is so good. Couldn't find anywhere that matched this when we lived in Edinburgh. Fresh flavours, huge range of dishes, inexpensive and huge portions. The klfds love it too. Worth travelling to Peebles for.

Sadly, when we got here it has been closed permanently. We really enjoyed our many meals here. It always seemed busy and the food was so different, varied and tasty. I hope that some other good restaurant will open here.

Super cute coffee, chocolate shop. Very clean. Excellent coffee and my husband loved his chili hot chocolate. Gorgeous chocolates! Desserts were delicious and staff was very very friendly. A very nice treat in Peebles. I would definitely recommend a stop in for a sweet treat!

Can't comment on the rooms as I was only in for lunch, but they have an exceptionally good menu with great choice of pies (game pie displayed with duck+haggis).

Stayed here on tues 28th May great expierance We phoned late in the afternoon to ask if they had A room available for that evening, thankfully, they did We were well looked after by the gentleman on reception who really was excellent, and Really helpfull our room was spotless and very quiet no outside noise but the real Highlight of our stay was the breakfast whilst it was a buffet all the produce was of a high quality and piping hot Nothing was dried out Full marks to the breakfast team probably the best buffet breakfast we have had For many a long time On checking out there was a discrepancy with our bill someone had put drinks on our room number however yet again, the lady on reception dealt with the issue Without any fuss In conclusion we really enjoyed our visit and will stay there again Well done team
