We didnât have a booking but the restaurant fitted us in which we really appreciated. We were not disappointed the food was exceptional and so was the service. The menu is small, but perfect. We all ordered a different main course and none of us were disappointed. I have a starter again, beautiful and the rest of the party a dessert again fantastic. The complimentary soup was a nice touch too. It was the first evening of our stay and it could not have been any better. A really great restaurant. Thank you.

great atmosphere and the staff seem to cope with the sudden influx of people when a train arrives/departs Unfortunately after requesting items to be omitted from my food because of intolerances, it arrived with the item on and when opening the burger bun I realised mayonnaise was on the bun - the main cause of my intolerance. So half my meal was left untouched. All items should be on the menu so that better choices can be made.

Really friendly family owed restaurant. We just stopped in for a quick bit to hold us over to dinner. I had the apple pie and my husband had a slice of some type of lemon pie/cake. The apple pie was good. I also had a large tea while my husband had coffee. Very relaxed environment. The owner was really friendly and has two dogs which are nice and mellow. There are snacks for sale already packaged for travel. We took some freshly baked snacks for later that night (i really do not remember what we hadâŠonly it was good). The restaurant offers local artist crafts for sale. We Recommend a stop in for a quick bit to eat.

Absolutely recommend! The owner was incredibly kind and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were the best meals we had during our entire time in Scotland. Lots of trails in the town and guest parking across the street.

I stayed for one night only - having heard about this place, and pounced on the single slot when I saw it. It's worth the drive up from Glasgow and ferry from Mallaig to get here even for one night: my room was spacious, beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with a seating area with a view of the amazing beach. The owner Sue is a warm, charming host and an absolutely amazing cook, providing a fantastic three-course dinner while sloshing wine into glasses and encouraging guests and other diners to relax and interact. Breakfast is awesome, as the Americans say. I hired a bike and sweated up (then down) the hill to get here, but don't be put off by that - the island taxi/minibus is always on-hand, and they do excellent tea and cakes at their base nearly next door - but that's another story.

I called in as a stop on my way back to Fort William. I had a freshly made bacon roll, coffee and a home made sponge. All very tasty. I also visited the heritage room next door which was very interesting and informative. I can highly recommend this place. a change from the usual commercial places.

One of if not the best Sunday roast Iâve ever had! 3 courses under ÂŁ20 too. The pate is the best Iâve had, I had lamb main and my partner had beef, both spot on. Perfectly sized portions leaving you full but not uncomfortable. Brilliant service in a Covid safe environment. Compliments to the chef!

Great little shop and the coffee is top notch too! This shop has you covered with all your essentials and more. Even a few lux items like almonds croissants) (and some great burgers are available. Definitely no need to bring food along with you. Also a great chat to have a wee chat with the locals or bask in the sun #scotlandisatropicalparadise đ

Went for an afternoon coffee with family. I've noticed from certain reviews that some people should really have been aware that this is a working marina... We were lucky enough to visit on an unseasonably hot and sunny day in October, particularly for Lochaber, so we ate outside. Coffee and cake all round was good. Coffees (and one tea) were great and well made. Cakes were delicious, though the carrot cake was a bit on the dry side. We put that down to it being late in the day, but will be something to consider if we go again. Staff could not have been more friendly, especially as we (and other visitors) were still seated after closing. I blame the fantastic weather. If you're really lucky, you can watch the Jacobite Express (sadly now better known as the train from that movie franchise) steam past on the adjacent level crossing!
