I stayed for one night only - having heard about this place, and pounced on the single slot when I saw it. It's worth the drive up from Glasgow and ferry from Mallaig to get here even for one night: my room was spacious, beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with a seating area with a view of the amazing beach. The owner Sue is a warm, charming host and an absolutely amazing cook, providing a fantastic three-course dinner while sloshing wine into glasses and encouraging guests and other diners to relax and interact. Breakfast is awesome, as the Americans say. I hired a bike and sweated up (then down) the hill to get here, but don't be put off by that - the island taxi/minibus is always on-hand, and they do excellent tea and cakes at their base nearly next door - but that's another story.

We stayed at this beautiful B&B for 2 nights on our Scotland road trip. The views from the bedroom across to Rhum were stunning. It was a pleasure to hang out in our room on the first morning when it was raining, the views were so perfect. We had full board for our stay and the evening meals were great, everything freshly prepared and very tasty. Sue was a very welcoming and helpful host. We would love to visit again.

Amazing food! Sue is an incredible cook! Most of the meat and eggs come from their own farm. Sue makes everything from scratch. It was such a treat eating breakfast and dinner at Lageorna for four days!

We stayed at the self-catering cottage for a week. A fabulous location with stunning views. The cottage was wonderful and perfectly located in order to explore the island. Sue was a great host and made us feel at home. Thank you.

I recently spent 4 nights here, eating in the restaurant every night. The first thing you notice is the spectacular view of Rum from both letting rooms and the dining room. One could spend all day just sitting and watching the scene change with the weather, the light or the sea conditions - and I did! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and well furnished. The food was exceptionally tasty and locally sourced. Sue, Alistair and Rory could not have been more welcoming and helpful, picking up my heavy ruck sack from the pier on arrival and dropping me back in the atrocious conditions on my last day. A significant contrast to the wonderful weather over the first 3 days. A lovely break thank you.

Fabulous tasty local food (shellfish from the Isle of Muck) with a lovely warm welcome.... whilst watching a beautiful sunset over the Isle of Rum and sipping a glass or two of wine. Heaven! Highly recommended. We also stayed in Laegorna self catering house which is superb.

We had a fantastic dinner at this beautiful restaurant. It feels so homely I wanted to stay there forever. Food was really good with fresh, local ingredients and lot of care. If you go to Eigg, please make sure to treat yourself to this lovely restaurant.

My family stayed in the Laegorna self-catering house but decided to have a meal one night next door. The food was absolutely delicious, top quality with amazing flavours. The restaurant is very intimate with only 4 tables with beautiful views across to Laeg Bay and the isle of Rum across the sea. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic little island and laegorna was a great base to explore from. The owners were able to pick us up and drop us off from the ferry port as the b&b is on the other side of the island. The rooms were fantastic and very friendly owners. Very happy to give advice. Breakfast was lovely. The b&b is a stones' throw away from Laig bay, which I think boasts one of the best views in Scotland. Great to watch the sun set over the distant Isle of Rùm! I'd recommend a visit to Eigg and a stay at Laegorna!

Lageorna is a beautiful guesthouse with a fantastic beach view over to the isle of Rum from every room. It's really tastefully decorated in a modern luxurious but unfussy style. Sue is a great cook and provided us with a tasty and ample Scottish breakfast, she'll make up packed lunches on request if you're planning a hike, and there's a sumptuous 3 course evening meal waiting at the end of every day. It's very reasonably priced for what you get, I'd highly recommend it if you fancy a break from self catering, you don't have to be a guest there to book an evening meal.

I ate here a couple of times and had a great meal both times. There's no menu but that makes it all the more special. The first time I was lucky as I'd not booked ahead so make sure you do. Great views westward over the sea.

Meals at Lageorna are freshly prepared and delightful. Sue offers a choice of veggie or fish or meat, and although within those headings then there is no further choice, she tries to make sure each person is happy. This is after all a restaurant 4 miles from a shop, and an hour by ferry from mainland Scotland! We were given delightful, fine and varied food, plenty of fresh vegetables, huge desserts, each course a delightful surprise.

Volveremos. x

A friend and I stumbled across here on a walk. We inquired and were able to have a lovely meal of beer and the crab cake starters. We were offered the main course as well but that was a little out of our price range. It's a really beautiful home, Sue is very friendly and there are great books to look at too. It seemed like there were activities/toys for children outside but I'm not sure.

Have visited this restaurant twice and have stayed in the self catering accommodation and can't speak highly enough of it. The location is spectacular and the restaurant nicely laid out and tastefully furnished/decorated. There's a nice relaxed and intimate atmosphere and the service is friendly helping to create a lovely ambience.Perhaps best of all, the food's exquisite. From the nibbles on arrival, the food is sumptious. On our recent visit, we had squat lobster tails, langoustine (super fresh), crab marie rose and salad to start followed by pan-fried salmon in an exquisite leek and cream sauce with vegetables and potatoes. Venison casserole provided a worthy alternative. Sweets really nice too. On a previous visit, we had an amazing panacotta with gooseberry syrup with home-made shortbread. We'll be back...though not soon enough :0(They cater well for dietary requirements and don't charge the earth despite all that's on offer in this hidden gem.

On our holiday in Glenelg we popped into this cafe, which is popular with both locals and visitors. We only had coffee, but the food on offer looked very tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby. Overall a nice place for a snack. Highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem! We were driving by and found it by chance. The crispy chicken burger was really tasty. My kids loved the nachos and loaded fries. The food quality and taste were amazing, and the prices were very affordable. If you’re in the area, it's a must-try, and the view from the place is breathtaking.
