Situated just outside invergarry on the A837 this is the ideal stop for teas/coffees and snacks. Staffed by volunteers it is open Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday through the summer season. Other days there is a pizza van in the car park. Homely atmosphere with emphasis on freshly cooked food. It is also the heritage centre with information on the locality together with the history. Toilets are housed within the same building which are lovely and clean. No charge but there is a donations box. Wish there were more villages offering the same facilities as Glengarry.

Well done to those entrepreneurial locals who opened their village hall to serve drinks, food and offer clean toilets to passers by. We've stopped here a couple of times between Fort William and Skye, which is just as you turn off onto the Skye road. Every time there is a steady stream of passers by and even coaches who pop in. not surprising when toilets (which are clean and free - albeit requesting donations) are very rare. What a great model that other villages could follow - and I hope - rewarded for. Well done!

When we are travelling we always research where the best coffee is. We were travelling from Skye to Oban and the reviews for Glengarry Community Hall seemed good, also there was nowhere else. They served us with a delicious cafetière of fresh coffee with lovely fresh home baked scones. I was sorry I had had breakfast as the bacon rolls looked magnificent. First class service and quality.

To be honest we stopped for a quick comfort break but spotted the Cafe sign. What a find; gorgeous cheese scones and vegetable soup, a very generous pot of tea, and lovely cake. Stop if you are passing!

I called in as a stop on my way back to Fort William. I had a freshly made bacon roll, coffee and a home made sponge. All very tasty. I also visited the heritage room next door which was very interesting and informative. I can highly recommend this place. a change from the usual commercial places.

A beautiful toilet stop, sadly a rare occurrence now across Highland Region where the council have closed most public loos or slapped a 50p charge on old smelly dirty facilities. This is how it should be, clean, fresh and by donation. The cafe next door is lovely too with nice home baking. If this is a community council run centre then well done!

Almost missed this gem, it's just on the left out of Invergarry when heading towards the Skye bridge. Doesn't look like much from the outside and you have to dodge the potholes but get inside and enjoy some of the best homemade food you'll find anywhere. Yes it's simple - soup, sandwiches, filled rolls and cakes with a selection of drinks. All you need for a short stop on a long drive. It has a lovely community atmosphere with friendly staff and is obviously a popular focus in the village. We had sweet potato and coconut soup and it was so delicious I could have eaten another healthy portion but I had to keep space for a homemade meringue, filled with fresh cream, it was just the perfect slightly sticky consistency, something very hard to find in todays mass produced meringues. My husband had the lemon drizzle cake, perfect. All this plus a huge pot of tea for just under £11, unbeatable. If it was on my doorstep I'd be there everyday. Oh and the toilets were immaculate!! Fantastic and thank you.

What a lovely place. Friendly volunteer staff means prices are very reasonable, and the quality is excellent. Cakes are yummy and at these prices seconds are, well, very tempting. Heritage centre is fascinating. This place is too easy to miss but well worth a visit.

We stopped off here for a walk in Invergarry , decided to venture inside, we were met by a lovely local tour guide in their museum room, found this very interesting and the lady's local knowledge was great. Before leaving we took a visit to the toilets in the community hall, very clean and looked after, there is also a cafe which looked good.

We love our local deli and are so lucky that it's in our street! Delicious sandwiches, salads, soup and cakes. We always recommend to our guests when they are looking for a packed lunch or picnic. Really friendly folk with Roddy at the helm.

We stopped here before a hike in Cairngorm National Park. The Café is lovely and decorated with much love. The pictures are beautiful and show a variety of scottish landscapes. The food, savory as well as sweet, was very good and perfect to start our day. All the staff were friendly and attentive, we definitely recommend the freshly made cinammon donuts!
