This chippy has gone downhill massively…! Ordered pasta tonight with chips… the pasta was bland but also very cold… the chips were okay but also quite cold…. the driver who delivered just handed over the food and walked away… no communication at all… when he was gone I noticed 2 cans of juice were missing… I phoned the shop to say to them.. the lady on the phone was rude and abrupt…. She also cut the call off without advising what would happen… she didn’t say if the driver would come back…! I went out to my front door to check if the driver had come back too find a bag with my 2 cans of juice on the front door handle… he didn’t chap the door… so rude…! Service very poor as well as the food… not at all what this chippy was ever like … it USED to be the best on the town but not anymore…. I won’t be back… nothing worse than cold bland food delivered with items missing by a rude driver who couldn’t communicate…! The lady who answered the phone was also very rude and abrupt before cutting off the call without advising me if the driver would come back… the food is very overpriced for the standard…!

My husband and I were visiting the antique centre and popped in to the restaurant for lunch, as usual. My husband always has a main meal and a cake and I usually just have their lentil soup, which is absolutely delicious and a cake. Today I decided to have my soup followed by sponge and custard.- I actually have had the sponge and custard before and thoroughly enjoyed it, however the last time I had a terrible time actually trying to get them to bring it to my table (my husband's cake had been demolished a while before I had to remind them - 3 times). Today I decided to risk having it again and the same thing happened. They actually denied that I had even ordered it. My husband spoke to the manager and he said he would 'sort it out'. Eventually, after waiting a completely unacceptable time, an assistant came and placed it, none too gently, on the table. We were expecting at least an apology from the manager but none came. On the way out we signalled for the manager to come and speak to us, which he did. However he acted as if he didn't know what we were talking about, even though he had spoken to my husband earlier. We voiced our displeasure of the poor service and all he said was "I'll pass this on to the staff". We won't be eating at the restaurant again due to the 2 incidents with the sponge and custard and the attitude of the manager

We have been loyal customers for 16yrs and by and large the food is excellent. We are in house customers and takeaway customers, however just received a takeaway this evening and it was poor! Mushroom pakora was crunchy and dry (never had it this way before) chicken tikka pakora was salty and dry! Curry was OK but just wonder if our starters were re heated from last night? If so don't order food before 6pm no excuse tbh!

Daughter goes here with her friends and has always been saying we should go one day together. Well I wish I had gone sooner, just loved the welcoming atmosphere when we arrived and very cosy too. Staff were lovely and the food was awesome and nicely presented. Will definitely make this my place to go when we have our Mother Daughter days.

Have visited previously a few years ago and took the opportunity to drop-in when back in the area. Fortunately the lovely lady on duty managed to squeeze us in without a prior booking. The afternoon tea was just as good as we remembered and didn't disappoint. Lovely lunch experience and couldn't finish all the food - but had a good try. We have booked for a return visit to try out their more savoury tea. Happy to recommend and planning a return visit.

This is a large very busy and lively bar on Hill st Wishaw. On saturday night i went to see some friends The State Blues Band play a show there. Unlike some bars on Glasgow which are relatively quiet, this bar was very lively indeed. I suppose the difference is not being spoiled for choice in Wishaw. Range of drinks and service from staff was excellent.

Why has all your meals been increased by 30%? Rip off.

DO NOT GO HERE This must be the worst restaurant ever. My partnef and I visited and ended uo seriously ill woth disrrohea and sickness. Honestly this place needs shut down...Chipped plates. Staff not friendly at all.

Waited 40 min to get my order wrong 🤔was a walk. Ithey kept telling pp on phone half hour that's a joke and curry taste of. Burnt not impressed

I bought a too good to go bag here, supposedly £13 worth of food. The whole bag was inedible. It was truly disgusting and I'm not a fussy eater. I put the whole lot in the bin after trying a bite of each. It was disgusting. Please don't spend your money on food here. It looks and certainly tastes nothing like the pictures. There was karaoke on when I was in which had the worst "singer" I had ever experienced.

First time we have used this takeaway for Christmas Day Ordered food beforehand and arranged to collect. Collected on time and staff were all very friendly. The food was piping hot and every meal we had ordered was delicious. I will definitely be using this establishment again. Well done Madras Cottage for taking the hassle out of cooking Christmas Day dinner.

It’s a Greggs shop, selling Greggs produce. No better , no worse than any other. Friendly staff which doe help a lot
