A Southside Curry Cafe, Desi, honourable, Spicy. Aloo Keema was chosen, else cooked to order. Definitely worth exploring.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Feta with rocket and spinach and chillies yum yum yum.

Nothing worse then going out of the way to visit a place and have them be close and hour and a half early.

Tried this place for the first time on friends' recommendations... Had a very good experience. The starters and desserts are lovely and the coffee is nice. Jamie knows his flavours and ingredients and it's great to see fresh ingredients used to make wonderful food. You can tell that attention has been given to every detail and ingredient. The staff are really nice and welcoming. Overall, a very good dining experience and would love to go back, especially for the desserts ;)

I've only tried their pizzas and they are really good. It's really hard to find a good halal pizza place that hits the spot. This is it. Love the deep dish option and soon they'll have detroit style pizza. They also serve milkshakes with seasonal flavours, last time I was in it was irn bru milkshake. Guys here are fantastic people, great service. My only gripe is it gets hard to sit down due to limited space and terrible for parking outside.

I have had some lovely food here. Once, we even had a polite server! This place is the ground zero for the new local pastime of complacent groups making a day out of milling around outside eateries. Dystopia with poached eggs.

El personal era genial y un ambiente encantador Tuvimos bolas de arancini con ensalada de zanahoria recogida para empezar, pasta de salchicha italiana y jabalí ragu que no decepcionó en el sabor y la calidad. Conocer al propietario en otro bar local la misma noche fue extraño y pasamos nuestras reflexiones para compartir con el personal, ya que el crédito debe darse a su equipo. I’ve been coming to this place for the past few years, and it’s by far my favorite spot for breakfast in Glasgow. The food is always top-notch, and the service is just as great. My go-to order is the Egg Royale with a Chai Latte, a perfect combination to start the day. The kids absolutely love the pancakes here—they’re fluffy, delicious, and always a hit. Whether you’re after a cozy morning meal or a family-friendly spot, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Went to Big Counter and it was one of those places that I’ve walked by so many times and had no idea what they did. It’s got a smallish menu that changes up quite often. 🥩 600g Steak, £60 They didn’t ask how we wanted it cooked, and I respect it tbh – it came out exactly as it should be: pink and tender. Perfect. The peppercorn sauce was rich but well balanced. There was a bit of marbling on the bottom end, which added some tough parts but nothing too bad. Overall, it was incredible. 🥗 Salad, £9 This came absolutely buried under parmesan – you know that moment when a waiter keeps grating, and you forget to say “when”? Well it felt like that. 🍟 Chips, £5 Crisp, well-seasoned and a decent sized portion, a great accompaniment to the steak and peppercorn sauce. 🦪 Mussels in Café de Paris Butter, £12 Wow. Just wow. This was my first time trying mussels in this style, and it was absolutely life-changing. I’m used to seeing white wine or garlic butter, but the richness of the café de Paris butter added so much depth and flavour. A definite highlight of the meal. I ordered from here recently and my food was 2hrs late so decided to text and ask for money back on my order. After 2hrs and a bit I finally received my food, then 10 minutes later the delivery man returned to my address and aggressively insisted that I returned the food back to him and would not leave my doorstep until I did so. I also got a message back from the restaurant saying that I will not receive any money back even though my food was taken from me. I have tried to contact the restaurant since then to discuss this issue and have been ignored. This was disgusting behaviour and will never be ordering from here again.
