Gizzi Espresso Bar in Glasgow City

Had a fantastic brunch in this busy but relaxed eaterie in Glasgow's south side, the food was 1st class the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about their food. We will definitely return more regularly and advise others to have a try, you won't be disappointed.

Lovely little cafe we happened upon for a quick breakfast. Service lovely and friendly. Lots to choose from. Food so tasty. We will be back.

Been coming here for years, usually on a Saturday. A totally reliable, well run business otherwise we wouldn't be repeat customers. Good takeaway serve during lockdown.

Was in the south side of Glasgow with my young daughter and decided that I would go for a coffee and would let her get a slice of cake or something, and in last few years I have come to find out that Shawlands is effectivly Glasgow's coffee capital, with excellent cafe shops on every street corner, and wanted to try as many as I can, so decided that it was Gizzi turn. Located on Kilmarnock Road, its in a excellent location for this area of Glasgow, and after one visit I could say it is probably my new favorite. Doing the best they can with the current COVID restrictions, but they do a wonderful job, and your order is ready in no time. Ordered a coffee for myself and a Rocky Road cake to share with my daughter. Both were excellent and will most certainly be back here again in future.

Excellent coffee, service, cakes & biscuits, and breakfast rolls / sandwiches / lunches etc too. This is the best cafe in Glasgow, by far. They have adapted well to selling takeaway food during this challenging covid period and they also take sanitation and cleanliness very seriously. The lady who often serves at the window at the weekend (past few Sundays) is a delight, always cheerful and very attentive and pleasant. In an area with lots of cafes, GO TO THIS ONE. It blows everywhere else out of the water and we love it. 💜

We had the friendliest service from the staff at Gizzis!! We’re made to feel totally at home, even if we did have a rather muddy puppy with us! The coffee and cakes which we had were delicious. We lost track of time and overstayed closing by half an hour but we’re not once made to feel unwelcome. An absolute Gem in the Southside!

In an area densely packed with coffee shops and cafes, Gizzi stands out for offering delicious coffee, great Italian sandwiches/brunch and lovely service in a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

High-quality ingredients coupled with fantastic service and great value make this my favourite cafe in Glasgow. The coffee is perfect and I've never had a bad meal. The fact it has been operated by a family since 1973 doesn't hurt too. Highly recommend.

Our first choice for breakfast when we are nearby. Enough choice to keep 3 children and a fussy husband happy, and fabulous French Toast for my treat. Lovely coffee also hits the mark. Can be busy and a bit of a squeeze for a bigger party but worth the wait

As a coffee snob I always venture into new cafes, stumbled upon Gizzi and I’m glad I did. We opted for a brunch dish and flat whites Firstly - the flat whites were perfect. Great temp milk, coffee was a great balance and the taste was excellent As for the food - halloumi. Poached eggs. Sourdough and salad - incredible! I’ve made trips from edinburgh just for breakfast! Well done team Gizzi

This place is very beautiful.Nice place to drink a coffee or to eat breakfast.The place is beautiful and the service is very good.One of the best coffees in Glasgow.But they are touching everything without gloves food,machines everything.This is unacceptable and dangerous

Can’t believe I’ve lived in the southside this long and hadn’t tried here. Coffee fab, food amazing- great selection. Took a cake home which was also good. We will be back.

A proper coffee shop with proper selection of coffee, plus some tasty treats and really nice atmosphere.

This place is so good I don't want to tell too many people incase I can't get a seat next time! Seriously good coffee, Lunch, Brunch, Soup and Sandwich all served by a fantastic local family that have been serving the community for years :-)...

Just looking for a quick breakfast before heading into town and this little place was perfect! I had a delicious egg cooked with chorizo and sourdough bread. It was amazing. Efficient and helpful staff. Highly recommend this place for breakfast.

The coffee was great. You could tell that the staff there really are pride in their cafe. I didn't try any food but the displays all looked fresh and tasty

Ate breakfast here with a friend. Had the full breakfast with tea. The food was really good and tasty and the service was five star. Would definitely go back for some more.

My friend is a regular and always recommends this wee gem of a coffee shop. I was hungry but I have dietary requirements, so the friendly helpful member of staff made me a lunch to my needs which was incredible. Tasty healthy well presented lunch...

We had a cappuccino and latte in here yesterday. The cups were relatively small, but more worrying was the slightly bitter, lukewarm coffee. We won’t be returning.

An absolute delight! Delicious sandwiches with a variety of bread choices, great side salad and the most scrumptious classic cakes... mmm! I’m gutted i don’t like coffee because they look the business. Can’t wait to return already!

I usually grab coffee here when passing by. Having sampled from every café in the area since moving in, I'm of the opinion Gizzi's is the best coffee in the Southside of Glasgow. The baked eggs are great if you have time to stop in.

Excellent little espresso bar. Breakfasts were phenomenal. Friendly family run little restaurant. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Glasgow.

The friendliest coffee shop in Shawlands! Since moving to the Southside, we’ve made Gizzi our regular weekend coffee/brunch haunt. Staff are so welcoming and friendly, they even make the effort to remember our usual order. The coffee is delicious too! 10/10!

I remember this cafe when it was Armandos . When I walked in I instantly recognised the two girls and I have to say they where just as I remembered them . This family are so hardworking and have got their place just right ....

This coffee bar offers a range of morning and lunch specials with an Italian-Scottish feel. Very reasonably priced - great service and wonderful taste for the price. Highly recommended for a late breakfast or brunch - the Italian style coffee is great too.
