The best restaurants in Milngavie East Dunbartonshire Glasgow and Surrounding

In the area one day with work, and was in the need for a coffee and something to eat, and looking online for places close by, Prego came up. At first glance nothing more than just a cabin on the platform at Milngavie Train Station, but a truly great place! Plenty of options on their menu, and ordered a morning roll and coffee to go. Prices are excellent, and what I ordered was really tasty. If in area again, will most certainly be back again.

Very good ice cream, a good range of various flavours. Indoor and outside seating, but I get it to take-away.

Cracking fish and chips.... 10/10 lads

Visited on a Saturday morning. This place is very popular but they manage to turn over the tables quite efficiently. I had the big breakfast which was fantastic, warm and hearty and filling. I don't normally fancy bacon but this was done really well at Cafe Alba - crisp in all the right places without being too dessicated. Good coffee too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Milngavie.

Came across this lovely place by accident whilst walking through Milngavie on Saturday afternoon and so glad we did. Food was amazing with excellent service. So many lovely things to choose from on the menu that we will definitely be back. The seafood lasagne was amazing. Nice vibe to the place and loved the music. Huge thanks to our waiter, super friendly.

Visited on an unseasonably cold Sunday morning in October. It was slightly cold in the indoor seating area and some people had their coats on whilst eating. Staff were really friendly and served up a warm hearty soup with delicious sandwiches and fresh bread. Coffee was excellent. The food was slightly expensive but I think it's worth paying a bit more to support an independent business. Would definitely return and recommend this place to anyone.

We ordered a bespoke cake for a special celebration. The ordering process was simple, the uploading of photos was easy and the staff were very friendly. The cake was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The victoria sponge moist, the buttercream was excellent and the icing was a work of art. Keep up the good work.

Ordered via JustEat. One of two subs was made with the wrong bread and the bread for both was stale and hard. It was hard to tell if there was any cheese in them at all. Worst subway experience to date.

Was looking for somewhere to eat when we came across a sign advertising food. It was this social club and it was welcoming. non members. We found the blue door and in we went. We found seats ans were given menus and ordered drinks. We had to give our details as per Covid 19 regulations.We ordered drinks, you pay for these separate to food. Surprised at the prices very reasonable and no rip off here. The food menu is limited but for there is enough on the menu to have a choice and again very reasonably priced. The portions were excellent and well presented, the kids were stuffed after their meal. A nice find while just walking around,

Guys are great, really nice and helpful. Food is usually fantastic, been there on multiple occasions and will continue to go there in the future

Service was great, super curries. Only criticism was that the food was a little salty for my palette but was told that was common for the local taste.

We come here so regularly as locals, and every single time they out do themselves. The food is consistently great, we leave happy, well looked after and they are nothing short of incredible with our kids. I often mean to leave a review but tonight set time aside purposefully because Effie and her colleagues were even more kind, professional and thoughtful than usual which is saying something. So grateful to have such a great restaurant in the community. Thank you so much gang.

Veggie curry and rice was good.
