Just had a Tarka Daal takeaway and it was absolutely delicious. Also the best veg pakora I’ve ever tasted. The meal deal is great value. Didn’t eat in the restaurant this time but whenever we have the service always excellent,

I've ordered a few times - always get the South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken Garlic Nan and rice, it always arrives really hot - and I don't mean just the temperature of the food, it's hot!!! Really good flavours in the SIGC, it will always be my go to!! It never takes too long to arrive, and it's one of their own drivers that are always friendly.

The second time I have tried a takeaway since new ownership and sadly most definitely the last . Ordered a korma and butter chicken and sides. Chicken pakora, was mediocre vegetable was nice. Chicken korma was quite nice but the butter chicken was the worst I have ever tasted in 35 years ! Pinkish sauce and super sweet it was actually inedible and got thrown out . Never again ! Shame as it’s my local .

Visisted on a Friday night, a few people in but it died off quickly. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Food was below average, best things were poppadoms and the lamb chop starter. Everything else just seemed over spiced or bland.

I'm nearly 60 years old and Indian Cuisine has been my favourite since I was growing up in the Midlands. I've had many favourite restaurants over the years, both takeaway and dine in. I have now tested this place about six times and it's without doubt one of the best I've ever experienced! I think the mark of a truly great food establishment is not to try your favourite dish and compare it to others, but to try as much of the menu as possible. I've tried different dishes every time, and I've never had a single dish that is less than stunning! Also, a great 20% off discount when dining in on certain days. A fantastic, benchmark Indian Restaurant! Well done.

Really nice, just what I needed. I was by myself and had just finished the West Highlands Way and really fancied a curry to celebrate. Came here and, despite being a very popular spot, they were able to fit me in. The restaurant was very busy (always a good sign) and despite this the service was exceptionally good - food was at my table in a timely fashion and, most importantly, the staff all were all very friendly and welcoming. I had a really good feed here, eyes bigger than belly I'm afraid though. Would absolutely come back here and would totally recommend the place to anyone passing through or living in Milngavie.

The south indian garlic chillie is FAB!!! Its always my go to. Staff are friendly and attentive. Nann bread is always huge and fresh, as is the rice. Whenever I want an indian meal locally, I know where to go.

I was a regular takeaway customer however on this occasion it was a poor amount of lamb in a weak Bhuna curry sauce, by coincidence relatives of mine ordered a takeaway family meal and had the same experience . I am wondering if it is a new chef or owners but I will go elsewhere very disappointing.

People who knows me knows I'm a observer. Went upstairs to this restaurant and lil kitchen door was opened so I peaked through and can't tell you all, that even the kitchen was so neat and cleaned . It looked so very much hygienic like home kitchen and that's the reason the food was so fresh from a fresh kitchen. Fantastic restaurant and a lovely lovely staff. Service was very quick and we had a wonderful meal in a peaceful soothing atmosphere. Loved all the decor too. Thanks for the beautiful service. Highly highly recommend CLASSIC INDIA for pure authentic Indian food.

Sad to say but it was one of the worst curry dishes i have had. Ordered the south indian (chicken) garlic chilli, as this was recommended as one of their hot dishes. I ask if i could have it extra hot, which they said was no problem. The aroma coming from the bag once i left the premises, was amazing, but when i took the lid off the chicken carton, i was greeted by a dish that could only be described as Coloured water. It was that watery, i could not pour it onto my plate, so had to eat it from the carton. It was NOT hot, and as for making it extra hot for me, well all i got, was ONE chilli pepper!! This was one evening meal that was a waste of money, and it wasnt reasonably priced either.

Fast, friendly service with great presentation Some of the best Indian I've had in Glasgow, with generous servings and cheap prices to boot. Garlic naan was fluffy, flavourful, and perfectly done. Chicken Jalandhri was beautifully spiced, juicy, and filling. Absolutely recommend. You'll have to excuse the mid-meal picture. I couldn't stop myself once they put the food in front of me.

Just ate out meal for 2 from the classic india in Milngavie. In general the food was very flavoursome and tasted good. It was hot and promptly delivered by a smiling driver. Im just offering a little constructive criticism as I'm in the food industry and have worked with Indian chefs for several years. The sauces tasted great but were a little watery. The chicken was not pan fried, it had been pre cooked and diced and re heated in the sauce. Thats a little dissapointing as it says all the chicken dishes are like that. Its misleading. The nan bread was slightly undercooked The poppadoms were soft/not fresh. It was a bit of a shame because your sauces(korma amd South Indian garlic and chilli were very tasty, and the total including delivery was nearly £30. For £30 im expecting something withought faults. I read somewhere you recently won curry awards, I wish you were just a little more consistent.

The food was lovely, the only downside was the fact that the waitress needs to shower more often.....the smell of sweet was terrible... But in terms of food it was very good.

A one hour wait is beyond a joke. Table next to us ordered 15 minutes after us and got there food first ?????!!!! Another table came in again after us and got there food before too. - clearly don’t do orders in the order they come in clearly give preferential treatment to regulars. I won’t recommend coming here. Writing this review still waiting for main debating popping round the corner for fish and chips I know it was Saturday night but really disappointed

Though carrying a slightly heftier price tag, it is however an establishment of high food and staff quality Unlikely to disappoint. Portions are big, food is cooked to perfection. I truly can't mark down the quality at all.

Wow wow wow! We are extremely pleasantly surprised, because this restaurant is a bit hidden from a passerby's view. The food was the most authentic Indian food we have tried in Glasgow. Prices are suberb, extremely good quality. Every dish has different spices and nothing is mild. Staff is very kind and great mannered. Overall it was great and definitely we will come back many times!

My wife and I have eaten in numerous curry houses across the UK and the globe so feel we're able to benchmark appropriately. We booked here based on the positive reviews but unfortunately we found the food to be very average tasting. The starter (onion bhajis) were far too salty and the main course (lamb curry) just lacked flavour. The rice (pilau) was particular bland and tasted like something purchased from a supermarket. The food wasn't terrible but just not up to a standard of most other Indian restaurants we've dined at. The venue was very nice but overall very disappointed.

We have eaten here on several occasions and had lovely meals with great service and have also had lovely meals delivered but tonight unexpectedly we were disappointed. Firstly one dish was not delivered which was fine, they brought it later, but sadly the quality as a whole was not to their usual standard- the onion bajis were over salted, the spicy onions were really bitter (presumably given as an apology with poppadoms) and the garlic naan tasted really odd and couldnt be eaten. The pakora, rice and chicken dishes were delicious and up to usual standard. Don't know what went wrong tonight guys but might be a long time before we order again. Sorry.

Curry a bit watery, and lacked salt and depth and heat. Veg Pakora Lovely, if it wasn't for pakora my lamb curry would be a two star. Sorry

Extremely welcoming on arrival, table for the baby with us rather than having to ask for a highchair, the food was excellent and the staff were great. One of us also has allergies and they couldn't have more accommodating. This was our first visit and were pleasantly surprised that there was 20% off on a Wednesday. Will definitely return.

We had a great dinner. If you are going to hike the West Highland Way this is a perfect place to eat before you are saying goodbye to non-Scottish food.

Family of five visited Classic India last night. Service was polite and quick. The starters were impressive and set us up nicely for lovely mains. Prices are fair and competitive, including drinks.We'll be back.

Had my all time favourite, South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken, it was best I’ve had in over a decade…….. 5 ✨ isn’t enough! We were particularly impressed that the menu has little icons explaining if the item contained any allergic/intolerance ingredients….. well done Folks!

Always a delicious curry and always as requested e.g. "not too hot" or "thin and crisp naan" The new owner has made the restaurant as comfortable and atmosphere as possible, given the quaint structure of the building.. Don't let other reviews put you off, go and treat yourself to an excellent meal.

I realised I had been overcharged by about £8. Very bad attitude from staff when I pointed it out. Eventually got my refund with no apology and bad feeling. The food was disappointing. The Lamb Rogan Josh was swimming in sauce and very small pieces of lamb.

Very disappointing takeaway. Having heard great things we decided to give them a try but won’t be repeating that mistake. Chicken clearly not tikka and very tough and chewy. Tasted microwaved and not fresh. Salad that came with one meal had end of the lettuce head which is inedible.

Went to this hotel on Tueday evening. I eat Indian food on a regular basis and have done so for over 30 years. I can honestly say it was the nicest Indian food I have had. I had a lamb desi Jalfrazi. There was plenty of meat, sauce, and certainly taste. The party of four all had different main courses but were all extremely happy what we chose. We had mushroom pilau rice, nan, garlic nan and a side dish of saag paneer. The staff were polite, service was quick. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. First class.

Got curry tonight and the poppadoms were in bits like leftover and the curry was not very hot (in heat or spice) paid cash was £ 17.90 and delivery guy said do you want change so disappointed 😒

Had gone to classic India (milngavie)last night service was great but food was awful chapattis burnt and hard chicken korma and I thought I was eating beef not chicken will not recommend this to anyone as food was horrendous.

It's a while since we had. classic India curry and have to say won't hurry back, I don't know whether they have changed their chef but the curry we had yesterday was awful. The chicken was tough and the curry sauce left a lot to be desired. We have always raved about how good this restaurant was but not now.

We ate here twice, once before our walk, and once after finishing. My wife loved the tarka dhal, so much that she ate a starter, and a main, and took four pots home to freeze ! I had spiced fish goujons and a south indian curry on the first visit, but on the second one asked for a really hot cirry, which was duly delivered. It was needed after eating cullen skink for a week on the trail. It wasnt the star of the show though - that was the prawn shashlick starter, big juicy king prawns in simply the most flavoursome and rich sauce, just clinging to the prawns. The chicken vindaloo was excellent too, as was the wine we chose. Excellent food and a range of flavours.

Awful, all the food items (chapati, veg biryani, paneer curry, mix veg curry) were smelling bad and tasted tangy as if the food was 1-2 days old. The veg curries were smelling so bad, we could not eat and had to throw away. Never had such experience with any restaurant till now.

We went to eat in with the family and the food was excellent. So much so that a few weeks later we ordered home delivery. Again fantastic. I have been raving on about the restaurant to friends and family. Definitely one of the best in the Bearsden and Milngavie area ! Go try it.

Somos vegetarianos y la variedad de platos para nosotros es excelente con la adición de los platos de la calle Delhi.El servicio y la calidad de la comida son excelentes y sutilmente diferentes a los de su restaurante indio habitual.

Llevamos 20 años comiendo en el Classic. El restaurante fue adquirido por nuevos propietarios en octubre de 2019 y ha ido viento en popa. La comida es tan fresca y deliciosa. Hemos probado muchos de los platos y todos son súper sabrosos. Gran selección en el menú y muy bien presentado. Inmaculadamente limpio, incluida la cocina que se puede ver desde las mesas. El personal es muy amable y servicial.

Durante las últimas semanas, hemos tenido 3 cenas para llevar de Classic India y todas han sido de primera clase 10/10. Cordero y pollo Maraidar increíble al igual que el cordero Desi y pollo Korma. La oferta de comida para 2 tiene una excelente relación calidad-precio y en realidad fue demasiado para 2 de nosotros, pero hicimos un esfuerzo fantástico para limpiar nuestros platos. ¡Solo significó 10,000 pasos adicionales en nuestra ruta a pie al día siguiente para trabajar! Lo recomiendo encarecidamente, sin duda volveremos y esperamos poder sentarse a comer en algún momento.

El restaurante ha sido renovado recientemente y han hecho un excelente trabajo, se siente íntimo y acogedor sin ser demasiado cálido o demasiado cerca de otros comensales.Nuestro camarero Jamie fue excelente, di un salto de fe y le pedí su recomendación. No recuerdo cómo se llamaba, pero, vaya, fue increíble. La cantidad justa de especias y una porción muy generosa también. Una gran recomendación de Jamie, que también fue muy atento y genial con mi hijo pequeño y me recomendó un helado para todos sus gustos.Con el ambiente perfecto, la comida increíble y el excelente personal, este es uno de los mejores curries que he probado en mi vida.¡Nos vemos muy pronto! !
