In the area one day with work, and was in the need for a coffee and something to eat, and looking online for places close by, Prego came up. At first glance nothing more than just a cabin on the platform at Milngavie Train Station, but a truly great place! Plenty of options on their menu, and ordered a morning roll and coffee to go. Prices are excellent, and what I ordered was really tasty. If in area again, will most certainly be back again.

Fantastic coffee and great food that was brilliant value for the money. A perfect little pitstop before a walk in the beautiful surroundings.

I really like a daily take-away coffee - it's one of the few things that we can still do during lockdown - and it could be said that I'm quite fussy about the quality and the taste. We are very lucky in the centre of Milngavie as there are several well-known chain and independent coffee shops but - having tried them all - there is no doubt in our minds that the coffee from the Prego stall at Milngavie railway station is the best of all. I usually go for the cappuccino while hubby prefers a mocha. The coffee is well priced (cheaper than most of the competition) and served in bamboo cups, which are compostable. I wash out mine and use them for planting vegetable seeds and re-potting small seedlings. Prego also serves really good rolls with bacon or sausage. Although established to serve rail commuters (of which there are very few at present), many people like us just pop down to the station to buy the coffee. As the coffee stall is only open till 1.30pm, this has to be a morning or lunchtime visit.

Had a coffee and a roll on my way into town, and these folks make a great bacon roll. Made it fast (as they'd need to) with the commuters around, but the speed didn't make the roll or cappuccino any less good.

Coffee bar right on the platform at Milngavie station. Excellent coffee, good price, served quickly before the train leaves. Very friendly staff. Bacon rolls are also very good value and absolutely delicious.

We got a coffee and some sweet treats on the way into Glasgow. There was such a nice man behind the counter, he was lovely. Plus they have contactless, a VAST array of products and it’s so reasonably priced!

Choosing traditional breakfast at Prego on our way to start West highland way was the best decision. Waiting for food to be prepared we chatted about what is awaiting us on our way.

Dying for a hot drink whilst waiting for a train on a freezing morning. Great quality coffee and bacon buns. Friendly service, excellent prices. What more could you want?

Pretty decent hot rolls & at a reasonable price, given the extortionate prices elsewhere. Servers are very aware of the train times & (while I've never been in the position) I'd imagine they'd be honest, if they didn't think they could serve you in time....

Found this lovely cafe on Google as needed somewhere that served early breakfast rolls as had early hospital appointment nearby. Sit in area does not open until 9am but this was not a problem as we took our bacon rolls and drinks and ate in car. Nearest carpark is at Morrisons supermarket which is 3 mins walk. The 2 ladies serving were very nice and served us quickly. 2 bacon rolls, 1 with an added potato scone, 1 tea, 1 coffee cost just over £10. Cash only. We will definitely be returning for lunch!

Sadly the food was a massive disappointment., although the coffee was nice. Poor quality ingredients, cooked badly. Poached eggs on toast~toast thin cheap loaf, dry with no butter, 2 poached eggs scooped out of a round cup and cooked solid. Tasteless dish which I could not eat.

We visited today for the first time, the cafe was busy and we were told that there may be a wait for our food. This was not to be, the staff patiently took our order, and the food arrived without delay. This place does not do stress, they do smiles. Thank you for looking after us, we will be back.
