Quick lunch. Quiet, probably due to awful roadworks and total lack of parking in bishopbriggs. Food and coffee very nice. Good service. Would go again.

Celebrated a family member's birthday here. Food was great, staff were friendly and the drinks were wonderful! Also had a fabulous gluten-free menu, would highly recommend.

My partner and myself fancied a good roast dinner and thought the ideal venue was The AVenue so we tried the 2 courses for £18.95 and I have to my starter of prawn cocktail was very good and I my partners chicken liver pate with caramelised onion chutney and toasted soda bread was delicious but the main course arrived which was roast beef Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes and vegetables which was filling but disappointing with ready made frozen Yorkshire pudding and what looked like precooked frozen potatoes, the broccoli was fantastic but seasoned and tasted like it had been stir fried with sesame oil, if I had wanted a roast like this I would have chose a cafe, I have to say the food is usually excellent at the Avenue and I have friends who eat there regularly and love it and I have seen for myself really good food being taken to tables when I have called in for a drink but what I was served was very poor and should not have been served at The Avenue because as a restaurant with a great atmosphere its better than that

A warm welcoming Bar and Restaurant with a good selection of drinks. I haven't tried the food yet but definitely plan to as the food looks lovely and delicious!

This food is top notch, highly recommend the pizza, fajitas and ofcourse the fish and chips...they literally serve a portion of fish which could be mistaken as a shark 🦈 service is quick, prices are good for the large portions, and stuff and very friendly staff...Great atmosphere, now to try Mahonys steak house...high hopes. 🤞🏻 Ps, don't go Lavita...not worth it.

Get choice of food and lovely place

Ordered a delivery through just eat, The pizza had been on a roller coaster on the journey by the looks of it when it arrived. Called the restaurant and they took no ownership at all basically passed the buck to just eat and said contact them for a refund. I asked well can you send out another pizza to which the response was you’ll just need to order and pay for a new one. I know it was not the person I spoke to who delivered the pizza but if your going to outsource your deliveries then you need to take responsibility for it, it’s not the customer’s responsibility to go through the mill. Completely ruined meal and not so much as an apology. We dine here a couple of times a month and will not be back, terrible service.

I visited today 24th December 2022 having a confirmed booking for the lunch menu. When we sat down to our table it was only the a-la-carte and festive menu available. I asked the waitress for the lunch menu only to be told the lunch menu wasn't available as it was Christmas Eve. I advised the waitress that I had confirmation via Facebook messenger from Richard at The Avenue confirming that the lunch menu was indeed available (attached screenshot). The waitress then checked with the manager and said "sorry we have been told by the manager that we are not allowed to offer the lunch menu today". I then asked to speak with the manager (tall slim guy with glasses and a bad attitude). He was adamant that the lunch menu wasn't available. I then showed him my confirmation message from Richard and also the fact that they were advertising that the lunch menu was still available throughout the *WHOLE* of December (screen shot attached). He then reluctantly agreed to offer the lunch menu and threw the menu down on the table. His attitude was appalling and he is the manager! No doubt the staff hate him. I advised the "manager" that I dine here quite regularly and when I visited a few weeks ago (also December) we dined on the lunch menu and the waitress highlighted that this menu was available throughout December. Their Facebook post also confirms this. The managers response was "well I doubt you will find many places offering a lunch menu on Christmas Eve". This isn't the point. The point is that you were actively publicising that this menu was available and your colleague also confirmed this to me by messenger the day before! We were so disgusted by this guys attitude that we got up and left. Like the previous reviewer has stated, I also wont be back. Oh and for the record, there are MANY restaurants offering a regular lunch menu on Christmas Eve! These other restaurants however don't lie and actually honour the menu.... without even having to ask!

Friend & I arrived for our Christmas Dinner Wednesday afternoon. Perfunctory Christmas decor almost nonexistent. Uncomfortably cold, had to sit with our coats and scarfs on. Christmas dinner consisted of 2 slice turkey, scoop mash potato, 2 small, pale looking roast potatoes,3 carrot batons,3 slushy Brussels sprouts and 2 pallid undercooked stuffing balls. When waitress took our order she said “I’ll pop in 2 Christmas dinners” which sounds suspiciously like a microwave! The pudding was mediocre. Wine was ok. At the price we paid I had expected something edible. I took mine home for my dog. I never fail to be disappointed with the meals in this restaurant, however this time was the last straw will definitely not return.

Fantastic local bar/restaurant with a tasty menu. Really enjoy the freshness of all the dishes and the way food is presented which makes the meal that bit more enjoyable. Staff are friendly and go out there way to accommodate customers Highly recommended!

I have always loved the avenue, it is beautifully decorated and the food is lovely. However, recently I have noticed the staff have become quite unfriendly. They rarely smile or ask how my meal was making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. My order was also wrong on my last visit. Furthermore, the service is incredibly slow, expect to wait up to twenty minutes to have your order taken when there is only one other table in the restaurant. This makes me very sad to write because I love the avenue and felt that it was the best place in Bishopbriggs but I think I will just have to go into town from now on.

Lunch with other half. Lovely fresh prawn cocktail followed by crispy battered haddock served with chunky chips, tartare sauce and mushy peas. Perfect portions. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We’ve been twice now and will definitely be back.

Family reunion, meeting up with my two sisters. For starters I had 'Avenue Prawns' (Prawns with Chorizo) which was a combination I'd never had before but really nice. The others had Haggis & Black Pudding Bon Bons and Pate - all really nice. For mains, I had Smoked Haddock Risotto. Absolutely brilliant. The others had Linguini Puttanesca and Fish & Chips. All lovely. Lovely meal. Staff so friendly and helpful.

Went here with a group of friends and had an excellent meal. This is a bar restaurant and offers a very good menu selection at reasonable prices. The food selections we all had included starters, mains and desserts and each choice was commended. Service was excellent, very efficient and friendly staff.

Booked online whilst down in the area for a couple of nights. Good, staff, prices, service, decor - everything was simply first glass. Went back the following evening just for a drink in the bar area and the same high level of service was there too. Really well run.

After a day hauling furniture around the new house my friends and I decided to try the local restaurants around my new area and opted for this charming little place . It was very tasty indeed. Upon entering you are greeted with lovely decor which makes you feel at home . The staff were very friendly and accommodating . The food was very good and well priced. We all went for the £12.95 lunch menu deal and thoroughly enjoyed it . For starters we went for haggis bonbons and lentil soup. The mains were steak pie and seabass which were cooked well . The beef was very tender and the seabass was flaky and soft . After moving to Bishopbriggs I am looking forward to trying a lot more restaurants but I definitely recommend this wonderful little place for food and also for some fantastic cocktails too .

Went with a few pals as can't get a beer in Glasgow, the beer was fine but the food is poor. The haggis is so dry you could use it to plug a hole in the roof. Chicken Balmoral is haggis stuffed inside the chicken...

Been here several times always liked it ! however the management of track and trace through this pandemic was A+ temperature taken on entrance , track and trace . food was fabulous, well presented and taste lovely as was portions. the staff are super friendly...

Went here for some food after the restrictions where lifted-nice venue but the food was a little average. Plesant but not so memorable hopefully just a teething issue and will improve as time goes on

It's situated in the centre of Bishopbriggs and it's central location makes it a good place to meet up with friedns. Worth a visit with the girls.

No demasiado interesado en la decoración, se siente un poco como un almacén, pero el ambiente era animado. Buena selección de comida en el menú. Opté por un par de tapas: eglefino y patatas fritas (extremadamente bueno) y nachos con chile agregado. ¡CARGAS de jalapeños! Bien presentado con generosas mini ollas de crema agria, guacamole y salsa. El único problema con los chips de tortilla (como encuentro principalmente en todas partes) es que nunca hay suficiente queso derretido en ellos. Sin embargo, el personal era muy atento (un equipo bastante joven) y extremadamente agradable. Lo volvería a visitar.

Visited this afternoon with an old friend. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Food was delicious and good portion size. I would high recommend the club sandwich. So delicious! Will definitely be returning to try out more food and drink!

Estábamos tratando de decidir qué lugar de brujas visitar. . Si sabes dónde está este lugar, está al lado de otros 2 establecimientos, pero decidimos venir aquí. . tan contento de haberlo hecho. . El lugar es mucho más grande de lo que esperábamos. . De todos modos nos saludaron cuando entramos y nos llevaron a una mesa. . vinimos aquí alrededor de las 12: 15 de un viernes nos alegramos de haber elegido esa hora porque alrededor de la 1 comenzó a llenarse y no habíamos reservado una mesa (probablemente mejor para los fines de semana ocupados) solo esperamos unos 5 minutos y luego vino la camarera y pedimos bebidas 1 copa de vino y una pinta de cerveza Innis y pistola. Tuvimos un vistazo al menú que tiene una buena selección de comida. optamos por el menú especial de 2 platos (10: 95) Escogí el cóctel de gambas con pan y mi esposo eligió los haggis bon bons. . Ambos platos no decepcionaron! Mi primer plato era una gran porción de pequeños langostinos, salsa y ensalada fresca con pan de granero y mantequilla. ¡Fue encantador! Los haggis bon bons se devoraron rápidamente, así que supongo que no hubo ninguna queja. Fuimos para un curry katsu con arroz y un pan plano y pescado y patatas fritas para el marido. Nunca había probado el katsu curry, pero me alegro de haberlo hecho. Era una salsa con un suave curry japonés con pollo hecho en una masa crujiente acompañada de arroz, pimientos y un gran pan plano. Será ordenado nuevamente, fue un plato sabroso. El pescado de mi marido vino con guisantes, salsa tártara y piel con papas fritas. El pescado se hizo en una sabrosa masa crujiente, pero el pescado era encantador y suave por dentro. Las patatas fritas también eran sabrosas.Así fue la salsa tarte. Bueno, los guisantes son guisantes. . lol en general, ambos disfrutamos de este lugar y nos alegramos de haberlo elegido volveremos. ?

Nuestra primera vez en la avenida. Fuimos para el menú pre teatro. . mi compañero estaba decepcionado con los bichos de Haggis Bon no tenía mucho sabor. Tenía goujons de pollo que estaban bien. Mi plato principal era una hamburguesa y estaba delicioso. Las papas estaban empapadas. Mi compañero tenía un pastel de carne que era encantador. Estaría en la zona de nuevo, pero estábamos en la zona, pero no haré todo lo posible para hacer el viaje.

We live locally and have had lunch or an evening meal in this establishment often, sometimes taking other family members. I had noticed that they offer take away food and as their haddock is my wife's favourite from their menu I decided to give her a break from all the pre Christmas upheaval and take home their Haddock & Chips as a surprise. I called them from my office in the forenoon and a pleasant young woman, after asking someone, confirmed that they could indeed provide that order to take away. On my way home I went in and placed the order and paid the price. As I expected, it was the world's most expensive fish supper but never mind, it was also going to be a much better than average fish supper. While it was being cooked I went over to the nearby supermarket to buy vinegar and on my return I was informed that they couldn't do any take away food because they had no containers. I protested and pointed out that I had checked by 'phone but "sorry, too bad" was the response. They could have asked the chip shop next door for a couple of boxes, they could have used plates and foil, they could have gone across the road to the supermarket and bought something to improvise. No such effort was made and that's the sign of a restaurant that gets its custom too easily. They've certainly lost ours.

Visited The Avenue last Thursday following a funeral. The food was 1st class. Nobody could fault the food or service. I’ve been with friends before but not as a large group. Well done and I will be back in the New Year.

Been going to the avenue often,they now have a market menu 4pm till 10pm which is great news for locals. Food was absolutely delicious, Omg the fresh fish and chips was presented lovely and tasted fab, great value, excellent service,lovely ambiance and proper viĺlage prices😁

Mother and daughter catch up. My daughter is studying in London and up on holiday for a couple of weeks, so time with her is precious. I cannot fault the food in Avenue, although service is slow for ordering. I would have given 5 rating but for a hiccup when ordering cocktails. My daughter is 20yrs old and has a provisional driving license as proof of ID. When ordering said cocktails, our server said that provisional license is not proof. I asked to speak to Manager...extremely nice guy...and he explained that licensing laws were changing...provisional license is not proof of age...too many fakes apparently. Passport and full licenses are only acceptable. He was very good in our case and accepted that my daughter looked 20yrs old and my daughter was allowed to have a cocktail. My problem with this, is, you can have a fake full driving license ,passport. Let's face it, who is going to take their-legitimate passport to a night out when it could be stolen or lost? I can totally understand the logic behind this but how many staff can recognise exceptional fakes?. Moan over....now to the service and food. We opted our choices from tapas menu. I had haggis bon-bons and chicken goujons...both delicious! My daughter...being a vegetarian, had the field mushroom with goats cheese and hazelnut topping and nachos with cheese and onions. The general consensus was that Avenue should have more vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu....her words, not mine. Overall, love Avenue...even considering having Xmas Eve dinner here. We will be back!

Usually go to the Italian next door but 1, thought I would give the Avenue a try,was not dissapointed and would return.

Estuve yendo aquí durante años, pero no vayan ahora ya que son demasiado caros, pero la última vez que fui este mes la comida de los niños fue muy buena, pero ¡eso me vuelve loco! ¡Es el diminuto endulzante de helado por dos libras! Nota para los gerentes: niños felices, padres felices y se quedarán más tiempo y gastarán más dinero, ¡no se necesita un genio!

Buenas ofertas para comer 2 o 3 platos y ofertas para cada día de juego, por ejemplo: cócteles o curry días. Porciones más pequeñas, pero son obviamente el almuerzo no son tacaños, comida, servicio de primera clase con una encantadora camarera atento que hizo lo imposible por requisitos de mi padre anciano. Aseos de abajo pero hay bebés/wc arriba discapacitados y una rampa, así desactivar amable y familiar. Bonita decoración, servicio y comida. Lo único que tengo que decir es que necesita de una amplia variedad de menú. Disfrutamos de la visita para el almuerzo.

The food was all very good, Arrived quickly and was very hot. The presentation was lovely too, good for taking Instagram photos . The service was excellent, staff were very attentive and happy to help. Prices were very reasonalble. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. We sat by the window which was perfect for lunch but they had other seating at the back for larger parties. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough, will definitely be back!

Un Salto a almorzar, ya que la comida es muy buena. 3 adultos, primero nos pusieron al lado de un gran grupo con bebés y niños corriendo de un lado a otro. Pedimos que nos cambiaran y lo hicieron sin ningún problema. Una vez nos sentamos en la mesa de al lado ponen un bebé gritando. Entiendo que las familias necesitan para poder salir. Sólo tienen consideración para adultos que puede que quiera buen almuerzo, buena conversación sin tener que gritar sobre el ruido de niños.

Excellent service, very helpful staff. Staff eager to ensure you understand the menu properly. I was with daughter and granddaughter who live in Amsterdam, so the granddaughter was at a bit of a loss over some things. Food was excellent except the haggis bon bon starters were not very warm. Main courses were excellent. Waitress recommended coffees with brandy in one and and a similar other one because we wanted something special to finish the meal. Both were delicious. Prices were very reasonable for everything..
