Sarah was super helpful and great with the kids, making sure they had colouring sheets, high chairs, smaller cutlery etc. She took time to chat with them and helped us relax and enjoy a tasty lunch! Thanks Sarah 😊

Lovely tasty food tho could do with being a little hotter, but prompt really friendly service from Sarah our waitress. Very attentive and cheerful.

It was an ok experience. I was at the pub to wait on a bus - however the WiFi wasn't working and there was no reception, which made it impossible to monitor the bus. WiFi is a necessity these days so I would consider getting it fixed or upgraded.

We often come to the gatehouse, as a family. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, good choice of food on menus. Today we had breakfast, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service is excellent, we had Sarah as our waitress, she is very cheery and attentive. Would highly recommend.

Great food, great prices, great staff would definitely recommend.

Meal was great for 14 of us, David was really fast with bringing meals out.

Booking process and pre-ordering easy. On he day experience was lovely. All of our party of 7 plus dog were made welcome and seated appropriately (i.e. space for dog to lie down next to us without being crowded). Timings of food was perfect, just the right amount of time between courses. All of our party cleaned their plates. All in all, another great eating experience.

My Korean girlfriend and I visited when we were back seeing my family for Christmas. A quote from my girlfriend is that she had the best chips she's ever had especially the sweet potato fries. The steak pie was to die for and certainly made me a happy scotsman!

Christmas dinner 2024 was a lovely experience 14 adults and kids. Louise was our waitress she was fabulous, very attentive and making an effort to speak to the kids asking them about Santa. Turkey dinner and sirloin beef was superb!😊 Thanks to everyone we would definitely come back for Christmas dinner!

Staff were friendly and went over and above for us as being new parents with 6month old can be tricky to have a meal and a staff member noticed and kindly offered to take one of the meals and keep on the hot plate whilst one of us attended to our baby. Food was amazing and great value.

The staff are friendly, efficient and pleased to help. The menu has a good range of options and is cooked and served to a high standard. The parking and access is ideal for all, especially older and disabled visitors. The layout and decor is spacious, yet cosy. Overall a great place and we will come again.
