The best restaurants in Glenrothes Central and Thornton Fife Central Scotland

What a glorious day we had at Thornton Golf Course, clubhouse and restaurant. The new catering team were fantastic. Home cooked food from fresh, using local suppliers. If you live in Thornton what a great asset to have on your doorstep. We will be back to play and eat as we've found a hidden gem. Thanks to Yvonne and her team for looking after us.

After good recommendation from a friend, pre-ordered evening meal at 2.30pm to be delivered at 5.30pm approx. Delivery arrived over an hour late and tepid. Over priced and below par food in terms of flavour and quality. Would not recommend and will not be a returning customer.

Food overcooked, large downturn from previous standards. You could forgive this happening to one persons meal but for a full family meal this is not acceptable.

Didn’t get our delivery for over an hour and the food was stale, cold and parts missing!! Disappointed

The quality of the food for the price was quite unexpected: excellent. I live in France - it's not french, but I can't spend three hours eating and I can't pay Michelin star prices. Food is subjective, but from the point of view of someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for 20 years in France, I'm 100% happy here. There's a great friendly team working here. The service is however "high tech." So you either order on their app with your table number or at the counter directly. One can't expect traditional table service with dinner at 11£ drink included. Best value in a very pleasant, very social ambiance - the place is packed every evening.

We had the Sunday Roast very nice and would come back again. Atmosphere was nice and relaxing

Good wee local kebab and pizza shop. Does get busy so be prepared to wait at times.

The food was great and had a nice and relaxed atmosphere, very enjoyable lunch on our way home. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

In need of a coffee and enjoyed it

I really enjoy visiting Caffe Caffe (I've been visiting since waaay back when it was called La Speranza, then Cafe Al Fresco!) I always like to have the Steak Pie & Chips when I visit here, as the one from Caffe Caffe is always really nice. The chips are always well-cooked, nice and crunchy, and the beef in the steak pie is so nice and tender. The pastry is very nice too. Always want to give a shout-out to the serving staff, especially the nice ladies who serve you behind the counter. All of them are very kind and friendly, a credit to the cafe. Caffe Caffe is easily one of the best eateries in Glenrothes.

Dear God. Didn’t think this place could get worse but it has. Not enough staff, tables not cleared, no water in hot water urn, no clean mugs, no milk in coffee machine and the one poor staff member totally run off his feet trying to cope eventually collapsed with the stress of it all. Ambulance was called so I do hope the poor man is okay. Absolutely appalling that Morrisons management have let this go on for so long! Staff your cafe or shut it down!! We sat for an hour and a half and dud not receive our order especially after staff member collapsed. Werent offered a refund as till couldn’t be opened???? But were given a had written credit note for a free meal next time. After a second disastrous visit to this cafe I’m not sure I would return again!! Management get it sorted!!!

Greatest steak pies in Fife, travel all the way to Glenrothes just for those delicious pies. Worth every penny....... What more can you say.... Mmmmmmm

Food was burnt. App wouldn’t work and charged us twice for one order. Service was so slow. Waited over an hour for our meal. Had plans after it, which we had to cancel. Just not really ideal.
