Overpriced, needs a real menu. While nothing wrong with the quality of the food, the combinations just didn’t work and resulted in a taste mess. I think the “chef” maybe needs to taste his own food. Had the Moroccan lamb. Which came cold, not helped by the ice cold cuscus which seemingly just came out of the fridge, buried under that was my single sprig of broccoli, again cold. While cuscus can be eaten cold, then that’s a cold dish…everything else should be cold, you can’t mix it with lamb and gravy. Add to it fresh mint sprig that overpowered the entire dish, destroying the lamb flavour. When you charge £25 for this dish at the bar rather than the restaurant…your delusions of “restaurant” quality foods stands out. It’s a £12 dish at best and even then it’s below parr. It just doesn’t work. The lamb was fine, but for the love of god, put it with traditional hot veg and maybe some roast potatoes.

I visited the Land and Sea for the first time since all the Covid restrictions kicked in. As a rule in general, it's not my first port of call for a chip shop. Nothing to do with the quality of food, as it's actually not too bad. No it's all to do with the long standing over zealous behaviour, from their staff who try to squeeze every last penny out of you after you've already placed an order! Indeed it's quite belittling when you're asked in front of 20 other people, do you want drinks, buttered roll and a bag etc and then they can't get your money in their till quick enough, even all though you might be waiting another 15 minutes on your order. They are obviously told to do this as they all behave the same and to be honest, I find it over the top and very off-putting.On placing my first covid order with them, I wasn't asked whether I wanted a bag, but on collecting my takeaway, it was in a brown paper bag, which on the receipt they have charged 12p for? Nothing to do with the 12p charge, but this behaviour is absolutely scraping the barrel. There are plenty of other takeaways within the area who are happy to receive custom during these covid times and who are not forcing or charging for bags. Needless to say, that's where I will revert back to!

Not the chippy it once was. Dropped in for a fish supper and a chicken supper. " We don't do chicken" I was amazed to hear. In fact the young girl on the counter appeared not to understand what I was asking for. Oh dear, and to think once upon a time, with Susan L at the helm this place almost won top chippy in Scotland. How the mighty have fallen. Sadly, in future, I will drive on past . I suggest you do too.

Great costumer service count recommend it enough honestly , we ordered our pizza at 8:50 and didn’t realise it shut at 9 so we got a call from an amazing manger who stayed open just so we could have our pizza ! Honestly I don’t think any other pizza place would have done that literally will be telling this to anyone who asks me for pizza places !10/10 the food was amazing as well

My husband and I love to hop in the car and explore. Just before Christmas, we discovered a charming little garden center. We made our way to the back of the building, where the café was located. It definitely felt like a hidden gem, not typically visited by tourists, and I found it so delightful. We enjoyed some tea and pastries, and I ended up losing track of time while shopping for Christmas decorations and shortbread. The staff were incredibly friendly, which is always a common theme in Scotland! I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they knew about my university and even had family in the same state. It really is a small world!

Went for meal with my husband, sister & her husband, and eat here frequently. However out of 3 meals ordered, they came to the table wrong despite the waitress taking the order on her pda. My husband had his plate put down and half his fries fell onto the floor. Two of us had ordered potatoes & salad with our steak, no other veg and no dressing but guess what? We got fries, onion rings & dressing. My sister ordered sirloin steak but was told there was none. Our desserts weren't to the usual standard either. Really disappointing. Service wasn't that great either. To say the prices of the meal were raised 25% too recently didn't go down well with what we had. I think we'll need to find somewhere else to go now.

I ordered a regular Iced Vanilla Latte (£3.95) and my girlfriend ordered a regular Iced Caramel Latte (£3.95). We got a piece of Creme Egg Brownie (£3.25) to share as the prices of the cakes were ridiculously expensive for the portion size given. We also got a portion of fries (£3). The piece of brownie we were given was so stale you could’ve built a wall with it - I highlighted this to the server and she replaced it with a fresh piece. We liked the coffee, the brownie was nice and the chips were adequate. Overall, we would return for the coffee if we were in the area again but feel their prices could be a bit more reasonable.

Well it gets 5/5 good views if you get a seat at the window 🪟 It's definitely the best place for Scotland breakfast I gave it 10/10 for every item on my plate. The fried egg🥚wasnt all frizled up and the tattie scone wasn't burnt on any side & it wasn't covered in grease that one could ring it out, the lorn sausage wasn't even tough g the mushrooms 🍄 were cooked well & nice & hot🔥 & the beans were lovely g hot too, even the 2 triangles of toast were tosted EVENLY on both sides & it's unusual for that to happen in other eateries. The B.P. (black pudding) had no white fat bits shown in it & the hagis tasted lovely too & also the bacon 🥓

Well filled sandwiches, fresh scones and gorgeous cakes.Friends who took us had a Groupon voucher which was not a problem. One of our party is gluten free and another does not like mayonnaise. They were both well catered for.The lady who served us was very friendly and nice.
