If you could give 0 stars I would. Given the wrong burger to begin with and when asked the staff about it they said that’s what we had ordered and made us out to be in the wrong. Tried the burger anyways and it was raw in places and inedible, when questioning the staff about it they said it was the seasoning they use that causes this. Absolute rubbish! No sympathy either. Literally says on the menu “if you’re not 100% happy, we will refund you” which we made explicitly clear we were not happy with the burger. Another thing was the drinks, ridiculous amount of ice in the glass with like two sips worth inside the glass. No offer of a refund or discount, £40 down the drain! An absolute rip off.

Got meal burger was small You need to go for £20 pr £30 meal to get right size burgers Makes mac Ds look good.

The place itself is nice. However, the staff didn't seem best pleased at having to serve us (we were the only customers). In addition, the food was incredibly overpriced (£14.95 for a chicken burger and chips). The burger meat was small, and dry. Very disappointed especially given the price.

Very slow service for somewhere that was very quiet. We didn't receive the fries we ordered, but were charged for them, overcharged for cheese (menu says £0.75, bill £1.50) kids pasta tasted like some watered down tomato puree, kids hot dog was tiny, especially in the larger bun. Was overcooked on one side and had a hint of spice to it. Adults burgers were fairly tasteless, definitely not made fresh as advertised.

Not a good experience Tonight outside temperature hovering around 6 degrees the restaurant has no heating working we where not made aware of it till we where waiting on our order and had started to feel the cold wide is disabled and suffers from neuropathy and was in her wheelchair we have come home and she is in agony with her joints being exposed to cold 🥶 temperatures restaurant should really be closed not happy at all

Restraunt was extremely cold. Service needs to improve dramatically, staff had to be asked to come to check if the food etc was OK by the manager. Food, nothing to rave about, burger King is the same standard.

Disappointed was an understatement, was expecting an enjoyable meal especially for the price, place was empty so plenty seats to choose from (first red flag) was bloody freezing too, wanted to keep my coat on! Took over half an hour to get what we ordered, looked nice when it arrived but the plate was freezing! as if it had just been brought in from outdoors! Burger bun was cold too, burger thankfully was hot, lettuce was still soaking with cold water which unfortunately left the plate wet and the bottom of the bun was soggy and wet, definitely won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend either, could have had a three course meal for the price we payed 😤

Saturday Night - prebooked online and paid deposit per person. place was empty only another 3 tables taken, not the most welcoming place initially from the staff didn't look happy. We took our seats then told that we had to order via the APP then it changed to that it would be quicker if we ordered at the bar so that everything came out at the same time. Very strange as all other places you place your order with a waiter, so we ordered at the bar for drinks and mains and was surprised that we had to pay straight away as they are not allowed to have tabs open. Service was slow i could hear the just eat machine constantly beeping and see delivery drivers come and go. When the food did it was disappointing to see the portion sizes have changed and got a lot smaller, not really worth the price. Not once did a member of staff come over to check everything was okay or try to sell more drinks what you'd expect. They looked too busy cutting paper sheets for boxes that they building for takeaway orders, they had few tables at entrance where they had it all sitting on . We ordered deserts and these where extremely disappointing,we ordered 2 meringues nothing like the pictures or what had before was tiny and bottom too hard to eat. 1 cookie jar sundae it was not served in a jam jar as advertised, it was a small glass from the bar. When the deserts where brought to the table we still had all the mains plates sitting that we had to stack up and then ask one the members of staff for them to be taken away so had space to eat deserts not the service you expect. They also automatically add £1 to your bill so every time you order anything that's £1 for a charity i don't mind if you maybe ask first but should never be expected!. Overall the service and experience was the worst dinning experience received we felt that we where an inconvenience to the staff. If they continue to treat customers this way then this place will close, i think they mostly relay on online order which is a bad model for this sort of establishment. i would advise you pick somewhere else other than here - and if you try comment on their social media page they will block you thankfully they are unable to do that on here. I have also emailed my concerns before leaving this review but nobody has taken the time to respond in over a month now.

Genuinely think the staff receive no training. Arrived at Falkirk and was greeted by a guy who looked shocked that they had a customer. We were told to pick our own table, which was easy given that nobody else was in. Then handed menus and told we could order using our phones! Rather than water service. Not wanting to order by phone we expected someone to come to our table…but no. So after 15 minutes I approached the bar to order and was embarrassed to hear the girl in the red tea shirt with red hair ripping into staff. Then she asked the new guy to start cleaning with a mop and bucket…. which he done with a passion but surely that’s something that should be done when there are no customers. Eventually we were served and the new guy took our order, clearly struggling with our order he went to his manager for help, but the poor guy got his face ripped off by the girl behind the bar. We felt really awkward for the new guy as he was the only one trying to work for his wages. Eventually the food arrived, my burger was shockingly small. Two bites and the meat was gone. Tasted great but size was poor. Had to approach the bar for more drinks as the staff were happy standing doing nothing (apart from the new guy that was still wiping the handrails with his mop and bucket to do what the boss had asked him to do) The place is decorated really good. Clearly a lot of money invested in it, but please invest in the training of your staff and the improve t in service will increase the number of customers I’m sure.

Walk in, first impressions was its dirty, secondly no table service, the waitress well if you can say she was a waitress, was lazy arrogant and no help what so ever, told her at the bar that a recovering alcoholic should not have to go up to a bar to order, and I'm not using my own phone to order. No tips no service, mu husband got his meal but the plate was put on the table (roasting hot) she did not say it was hot, instead just wandered off back to the bar where no care was given. My husband burned his hand on the plate, we told her but again no care about it and shrugged her shoulders. I won't be back in falkirk branch ever again. I've visited the Glasgow fort branch and it was amazing experience just sad that this was the worst experience I've ever had. Dreadful. Table was dirty, cutlery dirty. The staff knew that we are recovering alcoholic and yet I was served a glass with a beer company on it, my husband got a Pepsi glass as every other person had in the restaurant so obviously it was on purpose!!!

Went in for a bite to eat earlier. Food was nice enough. Ordered 2 ice creams for my girl's for dessert and a pepsi for myself. Waited 45mins. I then asked how much longer it would be because we needed to leave in quarter of an hour. The waitress said she wouldn't be able to manage it. So I then asked for a refund. She then told me they did not do in store refunds. Now I would have understood if the restaurant was busy. But there were 3 other tables being served with no more than 4 people at each.

Service was fantastic. Staff member was polite and knew the menu well. But the ‘award winning’ burger was sadly badly burnt.

Absolutely horrendous for food now, firstly the service was slow and not well organised, considering there were only 3 tables in the place it took us well over half an hour to get our drinks. Wanted to pay cash so had to pay before the meal and when I asked for a refill was advised it's not bottomless and would need to leave my meal half way through to pay up for for another before I could have one, surly this could have been settled after the meal, The spicy chicken pizza, the dough was soft but burnt around the crust, it had a mass of soggy peppers and white bland chicken I believe was supposed to be shredded but looked more half chewed. Out of all the franchises of this restaurant the Falkirk one is the very worst. I would advise staying at home and eating an old towel covered in half a pound of sliced jalapenos to give it a watery kick.

Came for a work dinner with 3 colleagues. The lassie who served us was friendly but overworked and (as I overheard coming back from the loos) being harassed by the woman in the kitchen... They're trying to run a restaurant as cheaply as possible and it shows. Food was edible but took a long time, meat tasted bland and tough like it was out of the freezer. Prices were closer to what you'd pay for a good burger restaurant, but far too many complicated options on the menu with zany names for burger x with sauce y, and they tried to have us order and pay online, going through the faff of qr codes and signing up with your email address etc... I paid at the bar when the online thing took an age, added a compulsory charity donation and asked for my email address. I'd suggest the way to fix it is not to economize on the core product- provide great food, bring in extra staff and advertise that you've done those things. But it's Falkirk town centre, maybe there's not enough footfall. I reckon you could make it much more successful at attracting repeat customers if you were just a bit less frugal on these matters.

The floor covering on the way to the toilets was shocking don't think it had ever been cleaned. It was disgusting 🫣.

Quite possibly the worst food I’ve eaten in a restaurant ever. It took forever to make as well. Do not eat here. Basically overpriced cafeteria food, this is why American food has a bad rep

Lovely place and the food was cracking

Went here at 25 past 8 on a Saturday night to be told that they couldn't seat us because other tables had come in before us. The place was so dead and they were meant to be open till 10 with the kitchen closing at 9pm. They really need to sort their service out because this is the 2nd terrible experience I've had here.

Only giving this place one star as you can't give any less. Was served a frozen, not cold, but frozen hot dog after sending my first one back for the kitchen getting it wrong the Manager was just going about shouting in an annoying way at and to everyone after asking for a refund I was told this is not possible I would have to contact customer services by email I asked for the email address on the third attempt the said manager got the email address correct so I sent an email instantly this was on the 1/7/23 and I have still had no response about a refund. The food is overpriced and undercooked. think this place needs a cooking thermometer or training on how to use one. Just do visit this place as its food poisoning waiting to happen.

Over priced, food not great. Wouldn't recommend. Staff seemed to prefer you ordered via the app and didn't bother them at the bar. Try to find a local independent bar /cafe /eaterie. Where they would appreciate your support.

Place is cool with lots of character. Manager is a real charm. But leave the sugary sauce out of the nachos. Too sweet.

Went for lunch on a Monday. Very quiet, but the service was second to none. Food was good, although my burger was a bit dry. Sweet potato fries were delicious. Key lime pie sounded fab but was overly sweet and sickly, but I ate it anyway! My companions were satisfied with their meals too. I would definitely pay it another visit. Prices are reasonable, slightly on the high side. Restaurant is well laid out and very clean.

Not great overall, slow service and someone convince me that this is a 100% beef burger… certainly taste and gritty texture wasn’t and the bun was orange from what we’re told is ‘spice mix’ . Definitely not what it used to be. Halloumi was decent though 😂

Went in for Lunch on a weekday. Was pretty quiet but still had a great atmosphere. Lass who was on duty that day was great. Chatting away with us about Rock festivals. Food was bang on point, great Calzone. And the loaded fries with curry mayo were awesome!

Really quite poor. Took ages for our order to be taken. The food was totally lackluster, bun all dry and hard (stale probably?), the dryset overcooked smallest burger I've ever had, with lots of tough grisly bits throughout. The food wasn't very hot either. Nobody bothered to come to ask how the food was and the general service from the waitress was also pretty poor - very quiet, unwelcoming and created a pretty awkward atmosphere to be honest. On top that, a donation was added to our bill without asking (£1). I'm not against donating to charity, but it's a bit cheeky not mentioning it to customers. I only noticed after paying the bill. Overall, would not recommend, definitely not worth the money. I said to my partner that I would've enjoyed a Big Mac more...

The food was delicious and the night started out great, we arrived just after 6.30 and started off with a brilliant waitress who was friendly, chatty and took our drinks and food orders. Food was quickly delivered and then we were left for about an hour and a half before we had the dirty plates taken away, about another half hour goes past and they ask if we would like any desserts, we ordered desserts and basically had them thrown at us by a rude waitress who also forgot one of our desserts then seemed annoyed that we had asked about it. She just dumped our drinks on the table and seemed annoyed that we were still in the restaurant, the place shut at 9 but we were not informed of this, instead the waitresses were just rude and delivered a bad service. The music went off after we'd been in for about 10 minutes and no one bothered to sort it the entire time we were there. There were only about 6 other tables and at least 3 waitresses the entire night so it wasn't like they were too busy. They started turning the lights off around us and still didn't inform us of the closing time. We left 10 minutes before close and we're quite disappointed with the service. Food was lovely but make sure you've got at least 4 hours for a 2 course meal if you're coming here :/

Good choice of food. Had nachos as a starter for 3 people. Could have had a bit more topping as nachos at bottom of pile had nothing on them. Big choice of burgers and fries . Restaurant very cold and meant we didn't take too long over food. Ok value but not blown away by food quality.

Staff were very nice. The food was great. My only complaint was the plate was really cold so I had to eat fast.

Avoid! We visited the Falkirk restaurant as a party of 18 and were extremely disappointed. The venue had no central heating and no hot water. It was 0 to -1 degrees outside and were all very cold with minimal plug in electric heaters. We had to wear jackets and gloves to eat our meal. The customer service was disgraceful and when we complained about the heating and no hot water were told that 'they had to work in it.' When it came to paying the supervisor made a mess of splitting our bill into 18 payments, once most of us had paid then informed us that she forgot to add on some meals. The whole experience was ridiculous and absolutely ruined our much anticipated Christmas day out. We will not be returning or recommending it to others.

Went in 27 of November 2022 at 4.40pm with my wife and daughter nice and friendly staff food was sub par daughter got kids hotdog thats was black from being burnt on grill for to long so she didn't eat it I got a mounty burger burger was way over cooked and dry had 2 bites and just left it wife got nachos and said the sour cream tasted funny wife and daughter got pudding both didnt finish again due to not tasting nice gave 2 stars just for the staff wont be back and wife is cancelling work Xmas meal she had booked

Started off great , staff super friendly, it went downhill after we got our starters, too long a wait between courses, it took 2 hours for 2 courses, not great especially with young kids! They were quick enough to produce the bill though & asked for payment 3 times within the space of 5 mins. Cocktail barrel is a cool idea tasted nice but couldn’t really taste any alcohol! Food was ok felt it was a bit expensive, would of loved to have tried a desert but probably would of been there another hour!

Welcomed on a Saturday evening despite being very busy, short wait in bar area for table to become available. Wide varied menu went for tandoori loaded fries. When they arrived some of the chips not cooked and still cold,server offered to swap. Mains ,my partner's burger came the patty was cold and the melted cheese had 'reformed ' giving the impression these were pre cooked held warm then blast heated again also a near raw strip of bacon draped over the top of then bun.mine was similar in appearance and temp however tasted ok Again another was offered but by then had lost confidence,so asked for the bill which came with 1 meal taken off, which saved any issue with complaint.

Was really looking forward to this, and considering it won best burger 2019 I was shocked by how bad it was. First the good bits, cocktails were nice as were the main waitress/greeter. Then the not so good bits, the service, they were really slow to take orders, bring out food and drinks etc. I asked for another drink and it took about 20 minutes to come! Then the really bad bit was the food. Partner had loaded fries which were very undercooked and chips were hard, personally I would have sent them back, but he was starving so didn't. Then the burgers, Considering how long we'd waited I did not expect to have a raw bit of bacon and a lukewarm patty served to me. I did complain and was offered another, but because of the amount of time we already been there and that we had to be somewhere else I had to decline. The burger was removed from the bill and the server was very apologetic. Really disappointed with the whole experience and I've honestly had better out of a Wetherspoons

Returned tonight to two raw beef burgers happened few months ago with my partner put down to once off came tonight was cold ish and raw in middle We were asked for another a said no got money off ours re done my husbands but still had the cheek to charge him nearly £14 for it . Well no be back once you can understand twice when we’re only ones in the restaurant two seperate occasions … no. Won’t be back!

Go! This place changed in a good way! I used to think it wasn't that great 3 years ago and didn't go back. My friend took me to lunch last week and i had the honey chicken fingers meal and it was delicious and a good sized portion. So good i went back at the weekend with my boyfriend for a burger. The cocktail was £6.95 and the burger meal was about £13. The halloumi were the best I've ever had. Plenty of seats in the place. You can't book online a table for 2 for example they only do a booking for 6 or more. Which is very frustrating and a bit off putting so we went early on a Friday! They have a new menu that came out last week too. Great selection of food, drinks, desserts etc. Would recommend!

Chicken burger was inedible, completely cremated. Sent it back and told the waitress I was not willing to pay for it. Ordered a chicken salad the chicken in this was also burned. Was only 3 other tables in, so the chef was hardly rushed off his feet. Won’t be back this is the second time eating in and the second time the food has been abysmal. No wonder the place is always quite in comparison to other near by restaurants.

I wouldn’t recommend this location. I was very let down with my in restaurant experience during my Sunday evening visit. There was nearly a hour between our starter and mains. Not all our mains arrived at the same time. One of our mains was burnt, cold and inedible. They forgot our drinks and let one of our milkshakes sit on the counter for nearly 10 minutes.

Sadly giving what was a much loved place a bad review as the experience was so below par I had too. The food was burnt and inedible, the Milkshake had zero flavour despite asking for another replacement. This burger is £11 and I wouldn't feed it to a pig. 10% discount was offered but still begrudgingly paid over £30 in total for what was a horrendous example of montery Jack's.

Make sure you book online to avoid disappointment,I phoned to make a booking as there was six of us and answer machine said no need to book just to pop in only to be told on arrival that they were all booked up.

top quality as always, might be a bit pricey but is always worth it Update from 7th of May 2022 - Food was not as good as previous occasions and the staff were not as helpful sadly. Customer service was definitely not at the forefront and our group felt as if the staff did not care. review revised from 5 stars to 3 for that reason.

Monterey Lacks Was out with family on bank holiday Monday and decided to try Monterey Jacks for dinner… hindsight is a wonderful thing. Entered the restaurant and the place was quiet, we were seated promptly when the server saw us and given the menus. We were then left to admire to aesthetics of the restaurant for a good 15 mins before being asked for our order. One of our party asked for a pizza to which the server replied: “sorry there’s no pizza, we’re waiting for the delivery of the dough” so make of that what you will will. I asked for a pint of Blue Moon, which I spied was on draught when I walked in, the server replied: “sorry we don’t have any draught beer on at the moment, it’s only bottled beer” so I asked for a bottle of Straropramen instead. She takes the remainder of the food order and menus as well, then leaves to put the order into the till. Moments later the serve comes back: “sorry we don’t have any Straropramen” to which I asked: “I’ll have a Corona instead please… if you have any”. She then went away… she came back and surprisingly enough in her hand was a glowing, freezing cold, God-like reincarnation of a Corona. The server asked: “would you like a lime with it?” This in itself deserves appraisal as I was surprised they had limes in stock… I gladly took her up on the offer. In fairness, the food arrived promptly. I had ordered the Bacon Blue burger with a side of Atomic Fries. What I received was a glorified “award winning” Rustlers burger with a side of normal fries. The burger was overcooked and bland like it had ridden in the jet engine to the city of Monterey itself. The menu promised “crispy onions” to which I’ve had crustier socks than the slop I was served atop the burger and the “blue cheese mayo” was non existent, couldn’t taste it at all. I’ve got no issue paying for quality, which frankly is why most people choose to eat out, but to charge over £13 (inc fries) for something that could made for half of that at home and to a better standard was poor. No sign of care in the cooking, food not even bang average. Don’t give your money to these chain restaurants, buy and try local and the quality will improve ten fold. Following the timely check back from the server my food was swiftly returned to the kitchen and taken off the bill, my dads burger was even undercooked but he was too polite to say anything. To add fuel to the fire, a table were sat next to us just as we had asked for the bill and I overheard them asking for “Mac N’ Cheese”. The server takes the order, punches it into the till and before you can say “Monterey Jacks” she returns to that same table to say, you guessed it; ”sorry we don’t have any Mac N’ Cheese”… I could’ve walked into Greggs or even a BP garage and got Mac N’ Cheese, no excuse for a chain restaurant not having the primitive basics. Having worked in service when I was younger I can appreciate good and bad experiences and it’s certainly not the servers faults to bear the brunt of her employers inadequacies. Despite the fruitful interior it’s just a gloried snack van. I rarely write reviews unless to detail a particularly good or bad experience but this ticked the boxes. Monterey Lacks - cause there’s absolutely nothing in stock. Overcooked and overpriced burger, support local restaurants instead. I wouldn’t walk back in there even if I was needing the bathroom and passing this restaurant cause they’ve probably ran out of bog roll anyway.

The lady who works behind the bar with blonde hair and ear peirce in needs to learn some customer service. The way she spoke to my husband when he asked her about the bill was shocking and she honestly ruined the experience of the meal. Won't be back. Was Mondays 2nd May. Waitress was kind but clearly left In the gutter with no help.

Upon entering the restaurant a lady who I presume to be the manager shouted to us to wait there and we'd be seated, after waiting 15 minutes the waitress finally got round to getting our food and drinks orders, the overall theming of the restaurant was great however a few chips and scratches in the booth and a little attention to detail could make the place look extra special. After waiting a further 45 minutes for our food to arrive we finally ate and for the price of the food it was honestly nothing special considering I paid a little over £41 for the meal. The waitress serving us was great however clearly rushed off her feet as she was the only member of staff that appeared to be doing anything. Once we finished eating I couldn't see the waitress so I approached the completely dead bar area and asked the manager lady with the ear piece if I could pay the bill here where she snapped at me to sit back down and "my waitress" would serve me, not only was this rude but also very demeaning. On that basis I probably won't be returning.

Atmosphere good, service good. Food just OK.

Went for dinner with mum and daughter was just what we needed good food and good company
