The best restaurants in South Eastern NI

I had the best Pastel de nata I've ever tasted in the Guillemot café on Saturday with a lovely pot of tea. The view of the sea and marina from the café is great.

Great spot, had a very enjoyable evening. Food excellent, service excellent and fantastic value. Would definitely recommend especially for coeliacs, they were very accommodating with lots of gluten free options.

We loved the decor and atmosphere of this restaurant as soon as we walked in. Tables were widely spaced and layouts were arranged differently to meet the needs of groups or couples. It was lovely being able to watch the chef and his staff at work. Staff in the restaurant were lovely and chatty making customers feel at home. We opted for the tasting menu but portions were more akin to a la carte size! Be warned the ‘snacks’ alone equate to a main course especially if you eat all the lovely bread! Our favourite course was the monkfish, closely followed by the raviolo and dessert. Venison was well cooked but a bit full of gristle as it was haunch. Everything was beautifully presented. As I was driving I enjoyed a great mock tail with 0% gin and Armagh Apple. Definitely will return to try the a la carte menu.

We ordered the chateaubriand and it was to die for - cooked to perfection. Resting on a selection of vegetables and baby boiled potatoes. A selection of 2 sides and 2 sauces accompanied the dish. Absolutely fantastic! Enough said!

The restaurant keeps it simple in its decor and menu which equals good food and a very enjoyable place to have a meal. If you’re in the area definitely check it out

Quality of food was not great. Had to ask for it to be warned up, not much warmer the second time tbh. Quite expensive. Kids meals we're fine to be fair.

Wow, what an exceptional place for dinner. Delicious food, amazing friendly service and a comfortable warm and tastefully decorated setting. All of the staff we interacted with were lovely but in particular Katie was fantastic. Great service blended with Irish charm and wit. The food was freshly cooked, served in a timely manner and mouthwatering. This place is a must stop for anyone visiting Camlough or the surrounding areas.

This is our favourite stop before we head up the Mournes. Great food, great staff and the vibe is superb.

Came here for a 40th birthday Friday evening and had drinks the next day, excellent service from all staff especially Rachel, everyone so friendly from staff to locals, well worth a visit, food and drinks excellent, keep up the great work will definitely be back in the future 😀 👍 😊

Went to The Regency today for lunch, your met immediately with fantastic friendly service, good food and first class cappuccino. Very well run establishment with very attentive staff.

Staff need trained I got my glass handed to me with her fingers inside it. Fry was disappointing but it’s cheap so u get what u pay for. Positive side the desserts are good

The food here is always exceptional, full of flavour and nutrition, and beautifully presented. It is lovely to be back at our old haunt and to have the owner come over to our table for a lovely chat. Great to see Chef Dean back in residence - one always gets a nice welcome as the entrance passes by the kitchen. The food and the atmosphere are so relaxing we could happily sit for hours going through three courses and the most delicious coffee afterwards. The bottled water, drink tonics and wine are of the best quality; the waiting staff are very experienced, knowledgeable and attentive. It is one of the most relaxing and pleasant places to eat; and for the level of cuisine - which is so thoughtfully sourced and cooked by the two chefs - the prices are not over the top. There are always interesting meat and seafood dishes, and local catch; great use of a large variety of vegetables. And the deserts, where so many places are the same, here they are creative and delicious. The Spiced Pumpkin Panna Cotta with caramelised figs that had a sparkle of sugar over them, at Halloween, was amazing; and wonderfully nutrient dense. Good food, good atmosphere, good company, it’s like a spa day in a restaurant for us. Looking forward to coming back as much as we can. Thank you folks.
