Great quality food. Friendly staff. Plenty of choice. Would have given 5 stars if there were a few vegan options. The salad bap was fantastic. Newly decorated too. Shame the old pictures of the town are not displayed anymore too.

My friend and i go to the regency almost weekly, we have never had a bad meal ever. Staff friendly, food very fresh, nothing is to much bother for staff. Its clean and very welcoming, it can be very busy at times, so that speaks volumes, even though its busy the staff are organised, keep up the good work.

Without doubt the worst meal I've had in a café/ restaurant in a very long time. It was so bad I expected to see Basil Faulty pop out from behind the counter. I ordered an omelette ( ham, cheese and mushroom) tasted of onions despite no onion being in it. Also it was runny in the middle. I didn't finish it. My wife ordered avocado on toast with eggs and well done bacon. The bacon was cooked on one side and sent back, only to return several minutes later much the same way. Her meal also tasted of onion. Ordered coffee which came luke warm and the milk was off. (Floaties) Complained to the waitress who took coffee and milk away. My wife had to go to the counter to get replacements after 5-10 minutes. Was quite funny though to see staff dashing about removing milkshakes they had just made before other customers complained. My son ordered a fry which in general was OK however when he cut the egg the white was raw in the middle. My wife complained to counter staff when paying, expecting the staff member to get the manager, however they just said sorry and took payment. Sad to give this review as we used to go here regularly before Covid.

Went for meal with family (3). Worst meal I've had in years. Omelette was ham, cheese and mushroom but tasted of onions despite not containing any. Wife's bacon was only cooked on one side and was sent back only to be returned a few minutes later just the same. Wife's toast also tasted of onions. Eggs ordered weren't properly cooked, egg whites were raw. Coffee served was luke warm and milk was off with floaties. Staff then ran around trying to retrieve milk shakes they had served before anybody else complained. Then had to retrieve our new coffees ourselves as we'd been forgotten about. When we complained to the counter staff we expected to speak with the manager but staff just said oh sorry about that and handed us the bill. At £30+ definitely not recommended. At one stage I expected Basil Faulty to appear, things were so bad. The place wasn't even that busy to expect one error. VERY POOR.

I know everyone has their go to place for the best fry and this is mine. Couple that with friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere every single time then will be back every time.

Had to listen to a chap laughing about his court case that day and discussing quality of prison staff at various locations on his mobile not my idea of restful breakfast

Food was basic. Chicken goujons were oily, leaving oil on the plate. Service was slow.

Had a small breakfast, which is exactly what we wanted.

Totally awful, driver left his Regency Van on PRIVATE PROPERTY WITH FULL HEADLIGHTS SHINING DIRECTLY IN MY LIVING ROOM WINDOW while he went to deliver elsewhere. Unapologetic driver cheeky and will be reported to Police with CCTV evidence.

Very busy, so had to wait for order to be taken. Didn't wait long for food to arrive. Piping hot, average size portions. Prices similar to bar/restaurants. Ordered a honeycomb frappe (£4.50) VERY disappointed, consistency & taste of flavoured milk. No honeycomb in sight & no cream on top. Dont know if this is the normal for their frappe or the person did not know how to make a proper frappe.

Visited the Regency many time recently for breakfast while visiting Ards. The staff are friendly and approachable. Jonny and staff always stopped and chatted, making sure everything was okay or to top off our coffee. The Fry's are the best I've had in NI. Will definitely be returned on our next trip in Ards.

This was our first time back here since the first Lockdown and glad to report all is good and the breakfast and service is still the best.

There is a great choice on the menu and the prices are very reasonable. Lovely friendly staff and the food is delicious. I had the lasagna and my husband had the gammon. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely perfect. They cook too oder which means you will have to wait while they cook it. Which is really well worth waiting for. All the meals we have waited for have been excellent. Service is 110% nothing is too much trouble. Even if it is not on the menu... Very comfortable and spotlessly clean Restaurant. Would recommend to everyone... Not only a superb eatery with awesome staff but they catered for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday at a nearby church hall today. Simply perfect. Many many thanks for an awesome job. Very very highly recommended.

Family from 3 continents gathered to celebrate the life of a departed one.in its restaurant. Contact with the staff had ensured an understanding of requirements. Sandwiches were excellent, well filled with real meat not processed. But that's were the enjoyment ended. We had arranged for a selection of desserts to be offered, pavlova, banatoff, pies and a selection of cakes. Only 3 portions of pavlova was available, no banatoff at all, apple or rhubarb pie was offered. 3 trifles were placed on the table. Review by several people amounted to the following 1. The pies were tasteless, fruit conspicuous by its absence. and little or no spices. The pastry soft rather than crisp. Custard had a brown look about it and watery rather than thick and creamy. Cream was canned. 2. Trifles. were left uneaten. Custard and cream as above. Jelly tasteless Never again but to be fair to the restaurant they didn't charge us for them. 3. Banatoff didn't make an appearance at all. 4 Finally the tray of small cakes did not appear. Although we had called them the day before and disscussed our requirements (which they assured us they could) the whole service felt unplanned for almost as if they didn't know we were coming. Very disappointing g and dishonoring to the event. We will not be returning the next time we are in Northern Ireland

The meals here are fantastic, especially the peanut chicken. Staff are nice, service is relatively fast. Tables are normal, the energy of the place is very standard but the food is above average

My husband and I have been going to the Regency for about 5 years now. The food is good the service is wonderful and all the staff so welcoming. Family run restaurant and I would highly recommend. 😋

Call in to get a quick bite to eat staff really friendly, ordered or food which was basic food but tasty, waited for ages on it, I was sitting chatting away with family then the next thing I noticed was one of the owners " vaping" at the entrance to the kitchen, I did think this was illegal at an indoor food premises but could be wrong but this totally put me off. Surely if you want to vape during working hours in a restaurant do it Outside!!

Visited on a busy Saturday, we were welcomed by a lovely young man who told us there was a couple of minutes to wait. We were seated within about 5 minutes and our breakfasts arrived quickly. The staff were very friendly and made the whole experience even better. The food was fresh and tasty. Would recommend paying a visit here!

Huge tuna sandwich for lunch on a cycling ride. Really well priced. Service excellent. Rebecca on the sandwich counter made me a first class takeaway. Ive never called here before but I'll make a point of calling again next time im thru Ards. Thanks folks.

Passing through early morning: our first in NI, we were given a warm welcome and a hearty breakfast by the cheerful owner of some twelve years ( he proudly told us). As time went by more and more locals called in and passed the time of day. We felt our visit for a week in NI got off to a great start, thank you!

Good excellent food to suit all tastes. Staff provide a good service and don't keep you waiting for a table or your food.

This cafe is one of the best. Staff treat you like family. Cafe is clean and my elderly mum feels very safe at present eating in here. Well done to Johnny and his great team of staff.

Food always tastes great, especially the chicken tikka sandwiches. Not everywhere has tasty tikka, but the Regency has it just right. The honey chicken strips are also great. Portions are excellent, good value for money.

Always love to have lunch in the Regency, very pleasant staff, great food especially the good old Ulster Fry. Nice and relaxed no fuss.

Go here often- is father in laws favourite place to eat! He always gets a fry which never disappoints, always have a great well priced meal here. Staff are all lovely and friendly. Beaut iced coffees a lovely young waitress made me the other day even asked me to try it to make sure it wasn’t too sweet for me !! Great spot for some breakfast or lunch just a casual laid back cafe with great food, friendly staff and never have bother getting a seat
