My husband and I had lunch here on Saturday afternoon. We sat beside the fire which was warm and cosy considering it was so cold outside. We both had soup which was warm and absolutely delicious. It came with lovely fresh wheaten bread. The staff were helpful and efficient. A very pleasant experience. We’ll definitely be back.

I met a colleague here for breakfast this morning - what a great little venue. We sat by the wood burning stove in this delightful coffee shop which retains the original floor of its previous life as The Paragon Pub. We were spoilt for choice with scones: pear and ginger; lemon and lavender; cinnamon and apple and many others. The lovely waitress offered us complementary refills of coffee and we could see other customers enjoying her chat. A lovely place to meet for a cuppa.

The Coatmakers is the perfect place to relax and refresh while friends browse the lovely linen rainwear and Dubarry boots. We popped in for a light lunch from the selection of soups and tarts. Everything, including the scones, is made freshly every day.

Had spotted this café one day, after just having had coffee in another establishment, and thought it looked intriguing, so looked forward to a visit. A week later we headed for Comber, both for the excellent Farmers' Market, and to try out Coat Makers. A cosy, wood burning stove created a lovely atmosphere, along with a fascinating array of old memorabilia displayed on the walls. A friendly couple guessed it was our first visit and told us that customers choose food items and bring them to their table. Then the owner/ waitress / lovely, friendly girl...take your pick!.....takes drink order. As it was a cold day I opted for a cinnamon steamer which was perfect and my husband enjoyed his cappuccino. The cinnamon and apple scone which we had chosen was probably the best I've ever eaten, not overly sickly sweet as so many are. Highly recommend this café and plan to take time on next visit to look around and check out the jewellery and ceramic items on sale, plus the unique ladies' coats etc created in the adjoining shop.

My wife and I called in mid morning for a couple of coffees. Lovely young lady greeted us with a big smile gave us a choice of seats. The variety of scones from such a small place was amazing. That's what I'd heard from a friend and she was right. My wife's scone was so fresh and tasty. I had a slice of bacon and leek tart which was packed with ingredients and flavour. And very reasonably priced too ☺. Hard to find but well worth the search.

My Mum & I popped in for a cuppa & ended up spending two hours in this gorgeous cafe. It doubles up as a shop with handmade coats which are made on the premises. The staff were so friendly we felt at home. The food is top notch & the cakes are to die for. Can't wait until our next visit!

Went with friends and found it a cosy and friendly place. Delicious scones good choice. The lemon scones are lovely - fresh and zesty. Coffee good and the offer of coffee top ups just says it all. Staff friendly and I even met the cook who shared her scone recipes.

Usually quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Good food and friendly staff, local newspaper and magazines. Pleasant surrounding with the coats, and other handmade clothes nearby. Wood-stove in winter.

No staff to serve in coffee shop despite it being open waited to be served and after 10minutes asked female in shop side were they opened and she replied ''yes'' asked if anyone was serving she said she would be with us shortly but after another 10-15 minutes we gave up and asked could we take 2 caramel squares away which we did at the elevated price of £2 each !!

Dropped in for coffee when I was suppose to be Christmas shopping. I have to say, I was very impressed, not only with the shop and cafe, but the staff are really friendly and very welcoming. However, please note that during the months of JANUARY and FEBRUARY the cafe is close, but I think you can see get Tea/Coffee etc, but you would be better to check first to make sure I am correct.

The staff in this cafe/store are very welcoming and friendly. The cafe itself does have yummy tray bakes (that's all we tried) but it's prices are in keeping with the store, a wee bit pricey.

As a regular visitor to the coatmakers cafe I cannot recommend it highly enough! From scones, traybakes & cakes to breakfast or lunch, everything is delicious & obviously made with high quality ingredients & nicely presented. Service is excellent & prices very reasonable. Only slight issue is parking but definitely worth a walk!

This is the most stylish cafe I have visited!. Called here for a light bite, on an industious whistle stop research visit, quite delightful decor and ambience, first rate service, very friendly staff, busying in the various departments of this little bijou Aladdin's Cave of activity. It has a very individual design which is best appreciated at first hand and is unlike other eateries. The old Victorian retail building has an Interesting history and adds to the ambience. The cafe is usefully at the back of the upmarket Winnie Magee clothing and gift shop.Lovely range of home baked scones, cakes and lite hot breakfasts from 10am, Lunches vary from day to day and include specials. Fresh local produce, After the meal a walk around the retail store is impossible to avoid and a pleasant experience. Parsnip soup and gateau today was delicious, worth visiting Comber for alone, but a handy shelf of local touristy information is on hand too! My advice is visit! :-)

Have been to the aptly named Coat Makers Cafe twice lately. Its a spot for breakfast, lunch or high tea associated with The Lightning Tree in High Street. There' a lot of competition here - the Grey Goose is just down the hill and the Georgian House is in The Square!First time, the service was desperately slow but decided to give it another go as the food was so good. Second time around, much better! There's a lovley menu and the quality is really very good - you can even take out the scones etc with you.Overall, good menu, great quality of food, but would recommend for a leisurely lunch or breakfast, not when you're caught for time!

Called in after a family walk in area. First visit and would recommend, service was very good and the food we all had looked and tasted great. Would definitely go back if in area again. Very clean, decor good, relaxed environment, possibly turn down music when restaurant not busy.

Must admit I was pleasantly surprised by the the reception and treatment I received from the waitresses at this establishment, especially Jenna who was extremely helpful in helping us decide what selection to make. We settled for the club sandwich each. In truth one would have been sufficient. There was alot of filling and there was no way you could describe it as bland. Well recommended

Our go to restaurant when in Greyabbey. Because the food here is always so delicicious. This time we both had the Scampi for our main course and the dessert was the cheesecake of the day. Sorry that there are no photos, but it was so tempting not to dig in as soon as it was put in front of us. So you will have to take our word for it. Kirsty was our very attentive server, and we also like comimg here for her lovely smile.
