When were on the bikes we come here cos the food is tasty. The bacon is thick. Waffles are mmmm yummy! Turkish delight latte is lovely. They offer to fill our water bottles everytime. Great wee place to eat at.

Top class service, very pleasant and would do anything for you. Our bacon and egg sodas were good quality, good thick bacon.

The food is delicious. It is cooked to order. Friendly staff make us feel at home.

My girlfriend and i are literally just back from the peppercorn bistro, i never leave a review for any place but i feel i have to this time. We ordered the Lasagne and chips with coleslaw each.When it came i should have refused to accept it, My girlfriend actually tried to cut the Lasagne but had no luck, it was dried up and re heated that many times even the white sauce had disappeared, The frozen chips were also not nice at all, honestly was the worst dinner WE had ever experienced, and left us literally feeling sick, well my girl left most of hers,then came the bill £36.90 for that was absolutly ridiculous, How they even served this was beyond me, We will never be back thats a 100% certain

Carol and the girls are so welcoming and i love calling in every Thursday do deliver my bacon always leave with a smile on my face and hot chocolate aswell..thanks ladies much appreciated

Delicious food and friendly service at a very reasonable price. If you’re in the area you’ve gotta eat here. Get the Ulster Fry if you’re really hungry, absolute treat.

Me and my mum love this place. Especially tge chicken stack. But avoid disappointment by trying to go on a monday and Wednesday when they are closed.

Went here with my wife and my Mum it was almost closing time yet they let us come in and order. We ordered 3 small frys the food was very good and reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

One Sunday in June 2024, I walked from Belfast to Comber with my brother, and we stopped for breakfast in the Peppercorn. Usually, we would have eaten at Sugarcane, but fancied a change. What a pleasant surprise! A modern cafe, with lovely staff … and a bagel with bacon and Brie to die for. Honestly, I have not shut up all week about the bacon and Brie bagel!

Called in for Sunday breakfast. Had the Big Easy fry and was very nice well cooked, but more than even I could manage hehe. Nice place good food brilliant friendly service great atmosphere. Would recomend a visit.

My work mates and I came in here for our monthly Friday breakfast and it did not disappoint. Great grub and not greasy.

Husband and wife run restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Good seating area,either by the window,or middle to the back of restaurant. Nice ambiance.

I've been past here many times and knew all about good reputation but for whatever reason I always used another cafe. Tried it yesterday after a recommendation and was not disappointed. Real art to making a really good Ulster Fry and this one was absolutely top class. Won't be the last one that's for sure.

We had two take out breakfasts with coffee. Both fry's were perfectly cooked, made with quality ingredients and well presented even in take out boxes. Cappuccino and latte were excellent and hot to the last drop.

Sunday Brunch - Good Food, Great Friendly Staff, Great Price!

Had breakfast this morning with my friend Alan Walsh under my recomondation and he paid . I hav been many times before and as usual clean tidy and very friendly staff with good service. Price wise very reaonable and very tasty will be back Andy friend will also be back as he was very impressed.billy

Didn't even realised this place existed until a friend invite me for lunch. The menu us uncomplicated and the club sandwich that I chose was very tasty.

Ordered two of the specialty lattes the after eight one and the Ferrero Rocher one, two of the best coffees I’ve ever had and will definitely come back for these. As for the food we ordered the Ulster fry and the Club Sandwich and they were both perfect, the fry was cooked to perfection and the mushrooms were just unbelievable. The club sandwich was packed out and came with curly fries and a bit of side salad and it was all just delicious. Will definitely come back here asap the staff was friendly and quick and efficient with our order which made which made our experience more enjoyable. Can’t wait to try out the other items on the menu 😁 Just before we left we got the pumpkin spice lattes and they are absolutely gorgeous the best ones we’ve had. We got a slice of cake which is so fluffy and the texture is amazing 10/10 will definitely recommend to everyone!

Fantastic fry, fantastic specials, my new favourite place to eat at in Comber. Made to feel very welcome and the food was reasonable and extremely tasty. Give Peppercorn a try, you will not be disappointed.

Nice staff, family run business sporting a massive selection of delicious home baked scones, looked after our cycling party of eight people, seating us at one table, offered coffee top ups and when we finished they offered to fill our cycling water bottles. Can't say enough good things about them. I will definitely be back for more 🚴‍♀️👍

I went in for breakfast here this morning and was amazed at first of all the warmth and friendliness of the owner and her husband but also the impeccable quality of the food, which is all locally sourced. I will be returning very soon to sample their amazing afternoon tea service they offer. Many thanks for such a lovely morning with you.

This would have been my second time eating here in passing. It looked as though the hot plate or pan that the food had been cooked on was far too hot, so the food was charred outside and soft/uncooked inside. This would have been ok, as most of the fry was veggie, until I turned over the bacon which didn’t look at all like it had been flipped; so quite odd. Needless to say I left it to be safe. The food was quite nice the last time, so I’m chalking this up to just a bad day. Staff were lovely and pleasant though, and all things considered would eat there again.

Service was good and food was great! Had their pie of the day (chicken and leek) and it was delicious. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I have been here before and the lunch was very nice, but on this occasion myself and friend had breakfast. After quite a lengthy wait we were expecting a lovely freshly cooked fry, unfortunately the eggs were overcooked, the soda and potato bread were brick hard. The bacon was tasty but as hard as cardboard. I have to say I was really disappointed so much that when asked was everything okay I just said yes as I didn't want to let myself go. Sorry about that, but I am being honest.

Great little bistro. Great menu. Food was freshly cooked to order and was piping hot when set down. Friendly staff really clean and delicious. One little gripe, a lot of places offer a free tea or coffee with a breakfast purchased before 11am. Maybe something for owners to think about. Well worth a try though.

Have been here before and had a lovely meal so decided to call back again for lunch. Very pleased this time round as well. The fry was a great feed and I enjoyed my BLT sub which came with a side of chips which I was not expecting. Very good value for money. Staff very friendly and helped me with my crutch which was really appreciated. Definitely recommend.

Club sandwich to die for and reasonably priced

We normally go to The Goose in Comber but it has limited space and every table was occupied at 10.30am so we walked down round the corner into Castle St where we spotted the Peppercorn Café. On first impressions it is just a café with wooden tables and chairs but they have an extension containing soft chairs and we sat there. We ordered 2 Americanos (£2.50 each) and 2 scones (about £2.00 each). The waitress was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our order. Coffee arrived in 2 huge cups and was delicious. The scones were good too. We will definitely go back here.

I visited for breakfast with a family member. We were served promptly and had scrambled egg and toast. They food was well presented and the portions were adequate but not large. The restaurant quickly filled up however the restaurant was not noisy and it appeared to me that the standard of service was maintained. The bistro is situated directly on the street close to a busy junction so there is limited room to sit outside (just a couple of small tables). I would say the experience was enjoyable with the only annoyance being that the front door did not appear to close properly when just pushed to and several times it was left open causing a draft which was irritating.

Went to The Peppercorn Bistro as a family for Fathers Day. Party of 10 including a child. The special Fathers Day menu did not disappoint. Very tempting, mouth watering dishes. From rib roast, chicken and prime burger. Also the usual menu was on offer, with plenty of choice but not overwhelming. Just perfect selection. I went for the scampi. First off hats off to the chef for the lovely crispy batter. Not a drip of fat in sight. The chips here are also very tasty. One of our party had the rib roast. Looked heavenly and was advised taste heavenly too. All our meals were piping hot and quick to the table. Also on offer was 2 for 1 desserts. The choice was hard! From angel sparkle unicorn cake to beautiful key lime pie, it was hard to choose just one. Portions are very generous. Go on an empty stomach, you will need rolled out afterwards. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Can't fault one second from the minute we walked in, until we walked out. Family run business, proud of its roots. Well worth a visit+

Can’t recommend this bistro high enough, it is spotlessly clean, lovely decor with comfortable seating in a relaxed atmosphere. The food is absolutely amazing; home cooked, fresh and generous portions which are beautifully presented. There is a varied menu which has something for everyone, great value for money and we highly recommend the delicious Sunday roast. The staff are very friendly & attentive, Carol the proprietor always finds time to step out of her busy kitchen and have a chat and ensures you have enjoyed your meal. Thank you to Carol & her staff for the effort they put in to ensure you have a lovely dining experience.

Had Gorgeous Burger and drink for two with a Groupon Deal. Food was perfect and enormous Burger came with skinny fries and dressed salad. Staff really friendly and seating area was well laid out for privacy or at window. Will certainly be back and recommend the Peppercorn Bistro, Try it.

My husband and I called in for lunch using a Groupon voucher. The bistro is split into two areas with one side being more formal than the other. The two young waitresses were pleasant, informative and friendly. My husband and I both had the steak burgers with chunky chips which came to the table freshly cooked and yummy. Both plates were cleared and really the food was excellent. The menu is substantial and varied. We were unaware of the existence of this homely bistro but will certainly be returning soon.

Only had half hour to spare so found this little place. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was beautiful and just enough to eat. Drinks arrived and food quickly enough . Very clean plenty of choice and reasonable priced. Can't wait to go back.
