Really, really disappointed with the food , a grumpy man looked at his watch at 8 pm when we asked had he a table for two. The curry had zero flavour. I complained to the waitress and said it was planned, she asked what did that mean. She failed to tell the grumpy man and when I was paying, I thought she made mention I was unhappy with the food but she didn’t bother. I am not a huge Blogger on food but I would definitely avoid this place, it’s a rip-off and the food is brutal.
Im not someone to leave a review especially a negative one but in the hope the business sees it and acts upon it then I will. Or other potential customers who want to save their money and spend it in a better restaurant
My first time in Apparo Restaurant and not living far from it I was excited to try. We were party of 8 out to celebrate a special occasion.
Firstly it started off with the drinks, 3 pints of coors had to be sent back as then smell of them were horrific, we later seen a glass put over the keg tap so they werent serving any more coors.
We then asked for 3 replacement drinks which were bottles- a member of the party had to go ask for the drinks after waiting over 15 minutes.
It then went on to our starters, were a soup came out stone cold, was sent back and waited some time on the next to come out.
On to the mains generally they were ok bar the amount of SALT that was on everything and a cold beef burger (a big mac at Mc D'd was warmer)😞 which again was sent back.
On to deserts, we didnt request any deserts as we had a cake with us to celebrate the occasion. We had just asked for tea and coffees which unfortunately had not arrived. After, several reminders to what appeared to be the main person on the night about the standard and service, nothing changed.
Come paying for the bill they had the audacity to charge for absolutely everything baring in mind the sub standard service and food.
On a side note- I pity the floor staff as they as at the brunt of this which isnt their fault. One girl in particular was lovely. I feel the younger staff need more training on general skills such as asking checking up if more water etc is needed and general communication skills with customers
From, an extremely DISAPPOINTED customer
What a disappointing visit.
No cod or pizza available despite being on the menu.
2 glasses of Coke arrived completely flat.
Waited 25 minutes for food when it was quiet.
No baby changing facilities available, asked at reception and was told to use the toilets in the hall, men’s and woman’s, no baby changing in the men’s.
Sanitizer empty at the men’s toilets, also empty on the entrance to Leonas, (now located in the bar area of the hotel, very cold and not what you would expect a tea room to look like).
Very very expensive.
Top hat £2.70???
Food was very poor quality. Frozen chips and goujons from lynas. At the prices they charge this is not acceptable.
We were there 3 days in a row last week. The place was very clean, efficient, very friendly and helpful staff.
Coffee was very good, the cakes excellent as was the ice cream. The prices were completely acceptable.
The last day there was a tall blonde lady working I have seldom seen anyone so effective, efficient and friendly. All the staff were brilliant.
Anytime we are in portrush we will definitely be visiting Morellis Portrush
The Rinka reminds me of my youth. It feels like an old fashioned ice cream shop with cafe and has the advantage of being a shop with all the supplies you would need as well as a sizeable toy section. Visiting with kids meant this...
Really friendly staff & good food. Salted chilli chicken is excellent & the curry is very good. Prefer the thinner style egg noodles but I’ll definitely be back.

What a truly delightful wee place! Our new favourite takeaway!! Street hawker is the best thing to happen to the East. The quality of their food is outstanding. None of your generic crap that most restaurants seem to be pumping out these days! This wee place is heads and shoulders above those generic places!! The quality of their food and the portion sizes is honestly superb!! Well worth the money! That munchie box is incredible. It Took 4 of us to tackle it. My favourites are the big pork belly chunks with slaw & the prawathon Ross prawns. The gravy and dips are superb as an accompaniment & I love ordering them. The homemade pesto is a game changer. A boy named char Sui which is loaded fries with char Sui and pickles, chilli’s etc is absolutely incredible, it takes me and my 10yr old to finish it. It’s so tasty and really packed full of flavour. Their smash burger, KFC burger & wings are all really tasty as well. Oh and that corn dog is amazing!! Chef’s kiss!!
