The best restaurants in Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

Never had fish and chips from this Chippy, but the reviews seemed good. Sorry to say I was very disappointed. We had two fish a large portion of chips with curry sauce. The fish and the batter was so dry at the edge that when I was eating it I thought I'd come across some bones, it wasn't it was fried out batter and fish that was so hard and kinda sharp it wasn't edible a lot if the chips were dried up and kinda leathery. I only ate 3 quarters only because it's a lot of money to waste, my friend left half his fish something he never does and hardly touched his chips. The curry sause was very watery and no curry taste. We normally use the Lanes fish at chip shop on the Circle, but as the reviews for this shop were so good we thought we would give it ago, never again. My fried bought this meal as its my Birthday, and won't tell me how much it cost, but even it is cheaper than the other Lanes not being able to eat it was a complete waste of money, and as pensioner it's money that could have been better spent.

Good value and comfortable pub with decent choice of drinks. Bar lady was pleasant. Nice choice of seating.

Google has asked me to write a review, but I was actually at the Hand Car Wash across the road. However, I'm giving Lofthouse Gate Working Men's Club FIVE STARS, because I'm sure it's a great place, full of friendly folk. Love you, Bye!

Kate is incredible, such knowledge on all of the drinks menu and so helpful, such an asset to the team and I’d highly recommend coming to this bar

sunday dinners are delicious and you get so much ,highly recommend the triangle cafe.

It was later than expected but still hot which was good

Came for lunch on Saturday. My partner had the full Monty and I had the traditional breakfast. It was lovely and hot with absolutely no grease. The staff were very friendly especially the young waitress. Thanks for a great visit and see you again soon 😁

We visited the restaurant for lunch on 6 April. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. We decided to share a mixture of tacos and chicken fajitas, and it was fantastic. We would highly recommend a visit.

First time in here, locals are a friendly bunch. Good pint of Guinness.

The first visit here,will definitely not be the last. Could not fault the quality of our meals. Well done.
