Booked at the Aagrah in Wakefield for their traditional Christmas dinner, paid our £50 deposit and looked forward to it, our first time not eating at home. BIG MISTAKE , we arrived and were seated, when we went for our food everything was clap cold, and I mean cold, the veg was frozen mixed veg, not going to mention the so called roast potatoes as they really don’t deserve a mention, no turkey and all the other meats were dry, nothing looked edible, a true disappointment, how they could seat people and put that in front of them is unbelievable, Gordon Ramsey would have shut the place down on the spot, even the Kashmiri options didn’t look good, we decided to cut our losses and leave as no way was I going to pay £50 a head for that rubbish, sad thing is our 10 year old son has gone without Christmas dinner thanks Aagrah for the worst food I’ve have ever seen how you could call this a traditional Christmas dinner is beyond me.. merry Christmas

Doesn't exist and pops up under different names like zeberdee had a roundabout. So make your own mind up with similar in the area. Pop up home cooks or real bonafide outlets.

Do NOT go here if you have any food allergies. I booked a table for my husband and i to celebrate our anniversary and on the booking stated that i had an allergy. Upon arriving i was told that if they'd known that i carried an epipen i would have been refused a table, this stated I was told that I had very limited options for a meal i could not have any deserts, not even ice cream. I ordered a meal, which when it arrived I would not have fed it to a dog! The waiter was relly good and offered meal something else but what?, I declined. We were given a free glass of wine as compensation but not enough. My husband's meal was ok, the setting is lovely, the staff are really good, but we will not be returning, Must state that i have had this allergy for over 20 years and know how to cope and eat with this.

I ordered chicken seekh on naan through calling in collection to then come in to collect it and wait 5 min which I didn’t mind. When it came to paying for the food they overcharged me so I asked to clarify if my order was correct and if they had made me a chicken seekh on naan for them to reply no it’s chicken tikka. I then politely told them I asked for chicken seekh on naan and they offered to make re-make it for me which meant I had to wait an additional 20 mins. That’s not the worst of it either, when I finally get home to open my food to see they given me lamb seekh on naan when I specifically asked for chicken seekh on naan. At this point, I rang the restaurant up to explain the issue with my order for the worker to laugh at me on the call and proceed to tell me to come back to the restaurant so that he could eat my food for me. Absolutely disgusted and so unprofessional to say the least.

With 2 close relatives seriously ill and in the hospital for weeks I've eaten here a few times. It's a staff canteen with access for the public. The food a bit "school dinners" and more expensive than you might expect. But the staff do their best, obviously short staffed but still take time to help vulnerable visitors. Witnessed several occasions where they went out of their way to help disabled customers. My brother's face having his first cooked breakfast after 4 weeks on the ward will stay with me!
