The best restaurants in Castle Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

I went in at 09.30 for a takeaway latte only to be told that 'the coffee machine was warming up' and to come back at ten. The man could have simply staged that they don't open until 10am, but the door was wide open so I thought they were open. Shame as I was looking forward to a nice latte. I went elsewhere and probably won't come back to Viking. A shame

Simple meals that are cooked whilst you wait or collected if you have phoned ahead. I go for chicken Cantonese style in a sweet and sour sauce. Sometimes with boiled rice, sometimes with chips. Same price to sit in, sometimes take away. They have a range from curries to my choice and everything in between. Chilled drinks in the fridge. No toilets. Seating for about a dozen folks. My meal cost £5 or £6.80 with two choices. Other offers available. Why not try it if you are not expecting Cordon Bleu.

Absolutley shocking!! To begin with the salad was bigger than the parmo not to mention all you got was lettuce onion and 2 pieces of tomato, the chips were cold all for 18 pound. I phoned them and asked for a refund they said no it was that price because you got garlic mushrooms aswell, yes okay I did but the parmo is tiny, the reply was there allways like that. Absolutley DISCUSTING DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT

The food was undercooked and once we threw it away, even the seagulls were scared to eat it. This place is horrible and woudnt even recommend it to a homeless person.

By far the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever eaten. The food was barely edible and all went in the bin. Just Eat refused to refund the meal so wasted £35 for nothing and had to order again from somewhere else. Firstly the sweet and sour sauce was like water with no taste. The crispy beef was just overcooked batter with no beef in it. The prawns were cold and slightly undercooked. The chips were barely lukewarm. Curry sauce was lumpy. To top it all off the delivery driver was rude and ignorant when he delivered it, just threw the food to me and walked off, didn’t even say anything at all. Maybe it was our mistake for ordering an hour before you closed as it seems like we were sent the days leftovers. Looking at the other reviews on here, everyone else feels the same way too

Aweful service. So rude two guys behind counter. I've been a customer for over 5 years.. Went to order cheesy chips wrap as I used to order for past 5 years online, on phone and in person in shop. This time the guy said they don't do and was so rude and said its 8£ then he charged us £8.5 When I showed him on his website and ordering app its £7he said he doesn't want to serve us food. I asked him to talk to the manager. He said he is the owner and manager. Refused to give his name and was extremly rude and impolite and aggressive. I asked him that I would like his name to know who I'm dealing with. He refused. We left. We surely will never back again. Used to be really friendly place and good service . Sadly itsnt the same anymore Will surely never buy again from there. Definitely dont recommend it unless you want to be charged different prices than menu and get a doze of rudness and abuse.

Shocking service! Ordered on the just eat app showing as open and deliver to Burniston in Scarborough. Placed my order kids waiting to be fed first time I’ve used them and they cancel my order 20 minutes after ordering with no explanation or phone call. Thanks Guys 👍🏻🙌🏼🤦🏻‍♂️ Looking at the previous reviews on here and on the just eat app it looks like we had a lucky escape from this place. Such a shame menu looks really nice!

My partner had the pork roast bap and 12hours later she constantly on and off the toilet been sick and bad stomach ache. Wouldn’t recommend this place what so ever. It’s cost us our day out we had planned and we’ve lost our money.

The food price hike for this place is disgusting. £2.00 price hike since 2023 is just outrageous! Burger, chips and 2 pieces of fried chicken was £20! Compared 2023 menu items for 2024 £2.00 The last time we collected from this place the men in the shop were so happy and helpful this year,the service was miserable! Certainly won't be ordering from these again The food was cheap tasting burgers. Not on par with the massive price hike!! Could understand the price hike if the food quality was good,but it just was basic. I'd personally steer away from this burger place now.

This is the 3rd time now the waiting time nobody in restaurant no cues 25 to 30 minutes and customer service and health and safety shocking!!!
