Ako Kebab in Scarborough

Food is good appart from pizzas - they put oven on too high heat - it isnt burnt but the toppings like matt together so you can't really taste the toppings its hard to describe. Atmosphere is rough at times mainly on weekends as its on the main street where all pubs are and all dickeads accumulate.. service is spot on. Overall its the dickeads that come in that let it down for me personally.

Ordered 2 kebabs,both were not what I ordered, donner and chips both stone cold bearing in my mind we where staying at the royal hotel which is 300 yards from takeaway. Avoid this place or waste ya money

Absolutely the worst chicken kebab I have ever had in years. Thought places like this closed years ago. Threw up violently twice after eating this crap! Not the only one in our group either to experience this tasteless overpriced disgusting food. Same happened to them. Avoid at all costs.

Viernes 24 de enero 9 : 32 pm. Tengo una pizza carnosa. Estaba demasiado seco y crujiente, porción de carne de kebab con salsa de ajo. No hay mucho ajo en la salsa y la carne de kebab es obviamente la carne más barata que podrían comprar. Masticable y gomoso. Pedí una hamburguesa con queso doble y patatas fritas recibieron una sola por precio de hamburguesa doble (así que supongo que el personal no puede contar). También la hamburguesa estaba seca y venía sin ensalada o salsa, ni siquiera me preguntaron si me gustaría ensalada o salsa. Un desperdicio de 29 libras. No te molestes, no importa cuán hambriento estés.

The food was delivered to the wrong location(admittedly I didn't put a note and the automatic recognition system said I was there, though I did use the just eat map system to pinpoint exactly). The driver came out again with the order, but demanded a secondary payment of the delivery fee. When I called in to the store(prior to him turning up), when asking the man on the other end if he would listen to me for a moment I was told "No, I do not want to listen to you, go away"

Always had good service here with typical after pub kebabs. Service is polite and the guys were sweeping up after the customers. Maybe a bit pricey at £8 for a medium kebab...

La subida del precio de la comida para este lugar es asquerosa. £ 2 . 00 subida de precios desde 2023 es simplemente indignante! Hamburguesa, patatas fritas y 2 trozos de pollo frito era de 20 libras! Comparado 2023 elementos del menú para 2024 £ 2 . 00 La última vez que recogimos de este lugar los hombres en la tienda estaban tan contentos y serviciales este año, el servicio fue miserable! Ciertamente no volverá a pedir de estos La comida eran hamburguesas baratas. ¡No está a la par con la subida masiva de precios! Podía entender la subida de precios si la calidad de la comida era buena, pero simplemente era básico. Yo personalmente me alejaría de este lugar de hamburguesas ahora.

The prices from last year are just ridiculous! Almost £2.00 more expensive than last year! The customer service was not good and the food was really poor quality reflecting for the price. We certainly will not be ordering food again from this place.

Was looking at ordering for delivery, but found out it has a ONE STAR food hygiene rating. Considering how terrible the other reviews are, it's not worth the risk. Avoid.

The food was terrible. My son couldn’t even eat his burger because it wasn’t cooked properly. After spending £42.40, I was shocked to be charged extra for a small pot of sauce. Most places offer a free sauce or drink when you spend over £30. The staff were neither welcoming nor friendly, and the sauce was overloaded with garlic. I’ve never seen food like this before, especially at such an expensive price for such poor quality. I definitely do not recommend this place.

The entire chicken kebab was absolutely covered in garlic sauce to the point I couldn't even eat it. Sauce should always come in a pot on the side so the customer can decide how much to put on. Completely ruined my meal and I wont be using ako again.

Tenía mucho miedo después de recibir la comida, encontré un milpiés dentro de las patatas fritas de queso, no solo esto el queso olía como si hubiera estado alrededor de una perilla durante toda la vida, el hombre en el teléfono era muy grosero y dijo que vendrá a buscarme después de que le dije la situación. ¡Muy impactado ve bajo tu propio riesgo! ¡Debería cerrarse en serio!

Fui a la tienda y el tipo en el mostrador estaba goteando por su camisa. La comida que nos sirvieron sabía a babuinos. Definitivamente no recomendaría, la comida ni siquiera llegó hasta 2 horas y media después de que pedimos y parecía un polo de enfermos. Todo el personal era extremadamente inútil y todos parecían un bulldog masticando una avispa.

Only ordered two pizzas, specifically asked for no peppers on pizza but put them on anyway. Even though we were not rushing them, a guy in there was giving us a hard time saying that we shouldn’t haven’t ordered a taxi prior to ordering pizza.. however we ordered them at the same time and had politely asked the taxi to wait and they were happy to.. I think their attitude alone really isn’t worth going in and I also think they purposely got our order wrong.. it’s also relevant to mention I’m allergic to peppers , thanks guys

Took a gamble after seeing the low score on here, as we couldn't be arsd trying to find somewhere else. Ordered a 12inch pizza, half n half and asked Stacey (I heard the order taker shout her name), the cheffess to make my side extra spicy. She did just that, but both sides were super tasty! Thanks for the spice kick 🙏 and the tasty pizza 👍

Fui aquí el sábado 15 de julio después del concierto de Jess Glynne. Estaba bastante ocupado, así que pensamos que era un buen lugar para conseguir 2 kebabs de pollo mediano Shish. Qué equivocados estábamos. El pollo se cortaba en trozos muy pequeños con un sabor muy extraño, y estaba en pan pitta muy pequeño que estaba en hebras. La ensalada fue patética. El precio cobrado fue de £ 9. 60 cada uno. Gastar 19 libras. 20 para ponerlo en la papelera. Advierta que prefiero morir de hambre que darles otro centavo.

Would not recommend, just purchased 2 burger meals and a portion of Donner meat, the chips are awful and have no taste, and the bread was stale, at first I thought it was just toasted but the under side was squidgy from the grease but the top was like cardboard and went in the bin. The Donner is nice but £8 for a small portion that's labelled as a large is ridiculous, wish I'd checked how many stars this place had before wasting our money.

Be careful of this takeway they charge xtra if they know u have had a drink . Came in after the club for a burger and chips cost £30 for three single burgers.. they rip you of if u have had a drink as they are situated near the pubs they know what there doing so beware expecially the boss man he isn't very kind either.

This kebab shop has been at Scarborough for a long time and is incredible. The manager is friendly and gives a classic kebab you can’t go wrong with. Majority of the negative reviews are people who are either lying or are competing with the shop. I will always come back to this kebab shop. Highly recommend to everyone!

Ordered chicken parmo, onion rings n cheeseburger. Onion rings were soggy n full of fat, the parmo, I saved over ½ of for next day and it was off, stinking, had to throw it out. Called the restaurant and was told I'd get a call back......I'm still waiting. Absolute rubbish, will never buy from here again.

Ordered a medium and a large kebab. The medium chicken kebab was reheated and burnt, the large kebab came in a larger box but was the same size is the medium kebab, paid £4 for a larger box. Food was disgusting

Great food and staff often go in here. I was bit upset as a woman on her own to have to cope with macho morons though, hitting some punch bag really hard. Maybe they think it stops these blokes hitting other people ? I felt uncomfortable and did express this at the time. Surely women should feel comfortable in this environment?

We bought a chicken kebab on Saturday night they over charged us vosvi guess theyknew we where out of towners we ordered the fresh chicken on the long skewers they wrapped it up when we got home it was just chicken scraps that stunk to high heaven completely inedible was really disappointed and tbh disgusting I wish I could add a photo because I took one it was so bad I'll never return and warn people we was charged nearly 13pounds for a9.50 kebab

Ordered 2 nights. Both times the order was over 45 minutes late and the person on the phone was one of the rudest people i’ve ever spoken too. swore to me and lied about where the order was. he also kept interrupting when i tried to speak and explain the situation. not what you expect when you spend £83 pound on an order . However the delivery driver was absolutely lovely and we felt terrible for him. The people in the shop really need to sort out their customer service

Vile. Avoid like the plague. Charged me £10 for a kebab that was simply not edible. Had one bite and ended up throwing it I the bin. The owner was very rude too. The kebab shop next door is far superior.
