Absolutely first-class stay as usual. If you're mountain biking in the Dales this is a must. Stu and Brenda run an excellent cafe, bunkhouse accommodation and bike shop. Everything you need if you're biking through: laundry, dry room, bike servicing (I got my gears indexed by Ben), tons of incredible cake, lovely breakfast, friendly chat and all in the most heavenly location. I wish I lived nearer! The biking from the door is absolutely awesome too. Try the lung busting climb up onto High Fremington!

What a fantastic find. We visited on the Saturday evening for the dining experience and were not disappointed. The food (cheese and charcuterie) was phenomenal, the service was brilliant (knowledgeable and enthusiastic), the wine was delicious, the ambiance and setting matched. We would definitely recommend this and will be back next time we are in the area. All in all a fantastic night that enhanced a magnificent weekend. Thank you so much.

Very kindly slotted the two of us in without a reservation. The six dishes (chicken, meat balls, salad, bread & oils, prawns & another) we chose were just the right amount. And try the lemon meringue to finish & you won't be disappointed. Again, the service was exemplary - there must be something about Richmond.

We were allowed to spend the night in the oldest room in the house. A little gem that we didn't expect on our Coast to Coast tour. Whirlpool meets museum - beautifully and lovingly restored. Also very nice operators! Nice little town, wonderful Italian restaurant around the corner. Really nice place to stay.

Stumbled upon this cafe while visiting the area and decided to give it a go . Dog friendly which is great for us ! Was busy but managed to squeeze us in , would probably be wise to book . Great variety on menu , we went for full English and eggs Benedict. Wow we was not disappointed, best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had and hubby said his breakfast was fantastic. All quality cuts of meat . Sausages was beautiful nothing we could complain about. Our dog loved her sausage too . Staff was so friendly too . Was so good we decided to return for tea and cake in afternoon after our walk . Wasn’t disappointed, scones were amazing and fantastic selection of lovely cakes and cheesecakes . Would highly recommend and would definitely return when in the area .

The restaurant is comfortable with quite background music. The service was friendly without being intrusive. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had sea bass with scallops , cooked perfectly and the sauce on the scallops was delicious. I will come here again to dine and would highly recommend.

I normally love the polenta cake but the last 3 times the cake has been very dry & dense. I've had to throw out the piece I got today. No idea whether it's because it's the end piece. Also got a smores brownie, given a very small corner piece which is also very dry!!. Not good!!!
