We had a lively evening and the service was excellent as was the food. Would highly recommend.

Dropped in a couple of times, fantastic selection of beers, very friendly and obliging staff. The food (tapas) smelled and looked good only sorry we couldn't have some as booked elsewhere

We popped in for a 'small' dinner and had the sharers platter - it was amazing!

Really good experience. Lovely intimate place nicely decorated. Welcoming warm ambience. Waitress was so nice, friendly and attentive to all customers. Food was superb tapas dishes. Can’t wait to go back.

Delicious food and cosy atmosphere, just be careful how much you order as it can be deceptively filling and you won't want to stop even when your body tells you otherwise Also nice small location so it can't get too busy, good for birthdays or a little pre-drink

First visit and it did not disappoint.The service was excellent ,the food was excellent. We were a party of 5, we had the meat/ cheese sharing platters to start, then we selected 2 dishes each from the menu and shared them. The olive bread,olives,marinated chicken,haggis and aubergine and courgette bakes were delicious. The staff were very efficient and friendly food served promptly. Will definitely return and recommend a visit.

Booked in for a table of 5. We ordered the sharing platter and a good majority of items off the menu and the food was fantastic. The service was also very good. Would recommend.

We needed lunch and came upon this fantastic little Tapas Bar by chance. It has a bar that serves excellent beer and a kitchen that produces delicious tapas. We had three dishes, ideal for a traveller's lunch. Aubergine and courgette with a tomato sauce. It was the standout dish, the sauce complimenting the veg without drowning it. Great black pudding and chorizo, and good mushrooms in a garlicky sauce. They were serving an extraordinary chocolate milk stout on draft. I had a half for pudding! Tasted like Christmas. There is a car park close by. Thoroughly recommend, worth diverting if you are en route nearby.

After a hard day out in the sun I decided to venture the Number 29 Tapas bar for my dinner. Upon entering I was instantly greeted by the very welcoming staff members they directed me to a my spot for the evening. ( A beautiful window view table ) I'm quite the fussy eater, but I am trying to experience new foods. Running two stores in leyburn I know that customer service is paramount in any business. A lovely young server named Maia diligently talked me through all my options. I have never met a server as kind and courteous as her. Her customer service is unmatched! She is a credit to this restaurant and truly made the fabulous dineng experience that much better! I tried a few diffent options for food my choices. Haggis in a honey wheat mustard sauce. Chorizo in a divine tomato sauce. Hummus and some different options of soft freshly baked breads. And a beautiful selection of cured meats. My god the food was on another level of amazing I especially loved the haggis. I then enjoyed a brownie and ice cream for pudding. Presentended beautiful on the plate! And I washed it all down with a delish recommend white wine. Everything was beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening! I would highly recommend!

Great place if you don't know how hungry you are. Busy, but they found us a place at the bar till a table was free.

I found this little tapas bar on my 1st trip to Richmond and I can safely say I’m glad I did 👌🏼 the guy that served me was helpful and friendly and the food was spot on 😊 it tasted so fresh and amazing flavours 🙏 so glad I went in here for lunch , I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be returning 😊

Very good selection of real local ales, European lager and Brockmans gin! Also, a good selection of tapas dishes. All in all, it was a nice spanish tavern rustic feel which complemented the food and provided a nice continental atmosphere!

The food was good albeit not particularly inventive. Given that it was quite pricey we were expecting a little more both in terms of quality and quantity. Still the service was great and the staff conjured up a really warm and friendly atmosphere.

Visited here twice over this weekend 14/15 th july, tapas were great as were the beers and wine, staff really good, would recommend if in richmond to try this place, small but perfectly formed.

Lovely little tapas bar with great drinks. We had quite a selection of the food and finished it all. Friendly and quick service and accommodating of our baby (the bench seating helped with this!). Reasonably priced too.

Fab authentic tapas bar, food was very fresh and service excellent; well kept beer and good cocktails.

Lovely little local business that's not right in the centre of town so not as busy as the other pubs and restaurants. Staff friendly and welcoming, felt very comfortable the minute I walked in the door. The chef also came out for a chat with us which was lovely. A wonderful experience and will definitely be back.

Came today for my birthday and had the sharing platter then ordered the chocolate fudge cake which came with a candle and the customers sang happy birthday to me which was really lovely, I would recommend this to everyone. Thank you all so much for making my day xx.

Nice little place great food and drinks.

Advertises itself as ake house, tapas, gin bar. Only a small selection of beers available (less than many other places not saying ale house) which was disappointing. Like many places who've joined the gin craze there's a wide array of gins available & non gin drinkers have few options. Food was lovely. Everything we had was delicious!

Chocolate milk stout kept exceptionally well very smooth.

Nice meal, but disappointing finish. Lovely atmosphere & food was nice. However, to be told straight after we'd finished eating & when we were still drnking that we needed to vacate our table - having only been there an hour & having ordered lots of dishes & a bottle of wine - was extremely disappointing- especially when there were 3 other tables that had been sat in there for 1 hour 45 mins plus & had not been asked to move! To add to this review - the owner has since phoned up to apologise & explained that there was a mix up with the tables which I do appreciate!

The food is amazing! Had the sharing platter. A very quiet and relaxing atmosphere, prices reasonable, good central location to walk around Richmond after our lunch. Will definitely go back again

We were staying in Richmond for a break and popped in for food and found Gin, ales and tapas! It was great value and the staff were really friendly and chatty and we could also take our dog.

I loved it. The serving staff knew exactly which member of our party was the trouble maker which lead to an evening of fun and merriment. The food was really excellent accompanied by lovely wine. A top job!!!!

Just left No 29 and wish we had such a fantastic dining and drinking venue near us. Travelling through North Yorkshire for the weekend, I researched places to eat in Richmond and No 29 offered tapas, wine and gin. What's not to like??? Extremely friendly staff, beautifully cooked food and a great selection of both wine and gin meant we had a really lovely night. In fact the wine we had was the cheapest.. a merlot, but it was really rather good. However, the post meal coffee, was, to me at least , outstanding....smooth yet full of flavour. The bonus of the night was the intimacy of the place. Just big enough..able to offer just a wine and some olives as well as a full blown meal. Loved every mouthful!! Thank you.

We visited last evening, taking my disabled gran to meet her equally disabled friend, both of them been elderly and fussy. They were both apprehensive about eating tapas, but both enjoyed their meal, not even managing to finish their chocolate brownie! Nothing was too much trouble, our waitress Cassie was fantastic. Cosy little gin bar. Great variety of gins and mixers along with a good selection of beers. The food compliments the drink with some tasty sharing platters.

Really enjoyed our evening in this tiny restaurant come bar. The food was great (Tapas) , The gin menu plenty big enough, and three good cask ales on ta boot. If you're planning on eating at prime times be sure to book, as space is at a premium in this cosy venue.

After a 175 mile drive to Catterick to visit a client - I always seek out Number 29 in Richmond. The very warm Monday evening was no exception. With just the front door wedged open it was very comfortable inside. It was busy but the extremely polite staff found me a table. Succinct menu with most of the favourites - it always hits the spot. A real gem.

Really good tapas food. My partner and I ordered 7 tapas thinking we'd be able to eat more later. We were sadly defeated. And ended up not eating it all. Great beers and atmosphere. Also dog friendly.

What can I say two of my favorite things all in one place. Gin and Tapas! Really yummy food and excellent service. The lady serving us was really helpful. So many gins to try and they have recommended tonics to help you pair them. The tapas was well presented and really good sizes. Would recommend.

Gorgeous little find tucked just off the main market square in Richmond. The tapas was delicious, extremely fresh, tasty and full of flavour at a really reasonable price. Excellent service too. To make it even better they serve real ale 😍 and are mentioned in CAMRA'S good beer guide 2022 ...what's not to love. I'll definitely be returning

Booked this place as we were staying in the area. Glad we booked, it’s a small and cosy place and all tables were full. The food was fabulous. Service was great. I sampled a few of the gins and my partner tried some of the ales. Highly recommend 🌟
