The Copper Kettle is nicely decorated, clean, and well-presented. The food was well cooked, although we only had beans on toast. The drinks were fine. We felt that the prices were higher than they should have been for the breakfasts and breakfast sandwiches. And the drinks were overpriced compared to plenty of other venues we have frequented. We also felt that the menus were unnecessarily over complicated with various different start and end times for different meals; for example, the breakfasts were available until 12pm (fair enough), then the sandwiches were available from 12pm until 2.30pm and something else was available until 4.30pm (don't take these times as literal, they are here for purposes of illustration only). While the business need might be perfectly logical, from a customer perspective, it serves only to confuse and complicate the situation.

My wife and I called in at the Copper Kettle after a few days in Harrogate, where we visited Betty's for a "Yorkshire Tea" (scones with jam and cream and tea). We ordered the same at the Copper Kettle. Without doubt the homemade scones here were far superior to those we had at Betty's. Also the staff were so friendly and enthusiastic. If you're touring the Dales make sure you stop at the Copper Kettle for your cream tea!

Stopped by today to grab some coffees and something to eat to take away. Served by two very lovely amiable ladies. We opted for two fruit scones, a cheese scone and a piece of ginger cake. While we were waiting for the coffee they mentioned a custard scone with rhubarb. My husband jumped at the chance of this custard scone so we took that too. Absolutely wonderful taste combination!! The cake and other scones were also top notch. I'm a bit particular about cheese scones but can honestly say these are now on the top of my list (and I've eaten a few from various places). Lovely clean little cafe. Definitely worth a visit. And lovely to meet two lovely ladies. Thank you!!

Visited this cafe twice on the same day during a recent visit to Reeth. First visit we had a couple of drinks (sat outside) - then went on the river walk and decided to return for lunch. Asked for the menus which we were handed and advised by the gentleman that he would be out shortly to take our order. Upon taking the order - we were advised that 'as we were sat outside could we please go inside to pay'. We advised that we 'weren't going to do a runner' - to which the gentleman's response was 'that's what they all say'. This made us feel slightly awkward - but we do appreciate that there are some people who would take advantage. Perhaps a better way of handling the situation would be for menus to be provided, but then customers asked to come inside to place their order and pay at the same time. Having said all the above - the staff were extremely polite and pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. Just thought we would provide a little feedback on the sitting outside policy/payment.

Good to see this cafe open again particularly on a bitterly cold Monday in January when the village's other cafe was closed and the Black Bull and Kings Arms looked unwelcoming and distinctly in need of TLC. I had a ham and cheese toastie plus tea @ just £7, promptly served. The menu is limited at the moment. The waitress said that the new owner is building up the business gradually which accounts for its slightly stark interior and the fridge's four shelves bearing just the one cake! All the best for 2024 and beyond.

Rode to Reeth (on one of the rare sunny and dry if cool days!) to the recently re-opened Copper Kettle Cafe which was a good experience with nice food and friendly, attentive staff and was certainly worth a re-visit. The limited menu is very much a work in progress and it will imminently expand, which will be good. The cafe's shut over the winter period on a Tuesday and Wednesday but will open 7 days a week during the spring and summer seasons. As a Club cyclist we used to visit here on a regular basis under it's previous ownership and were always impressed, so hopefully that experience will continue and there's nothing to suggest on re-acquaintance that it won't. It's nice and warm inside (always a welcome first impression!) and the fresh redecoration and same established layout contine the feelgood factor, making it a welcoming, comfortable and relaxing cafe to be in. Pricewise it seems mid-range and on a par for what it is these days. Looking forward to returning and it's the sort of cafe that deserves to suceed and hopefully will, well worth a visit!

We chanced upon The Copper Kettle Kitchen in Reeth, having been disappointed in Hawes, where it seemed most of the cafes were closed. That may be due to it being Wednesday. We tackled the Buttertubs and landed in Swaledale. The very first signposted cafe, 50yds away, was also closed. As a result we decided to chance Reeth, rather than hit the A66 and Barnard Castle. Reeth was extremely busy, but open for business. We managed to park near The Copper Kettle Kitchen. The tables on the front were taken. We always take this as a positive sign. Looking through the front door of the (CKK) the Tardis like space beckoned us in. We were soon seated and welcomed by attentive staff. Like most places we have visited recently, the menu was varied. The choice of hot drinks was exceptional and certainly not what we were expecting. We were soon drinking tea, awaiting our ordered meal. The homely atmosphere compliments the decor, which we felt had a country kitchen feel. If you enjoy cakes, (CKK) will satisfy your passion. There are so many different types of cakes available. Our meals were very tasty and the service was superb. Again, despite (CKK) being busy, we never felt rushed. The meal cost about the same as other cafes in the area. The value was in the service, which was welcoming and an aim to please was clearly evident. Looking forward to a return visit.

This small restaurant is wonderful for a quiet venue with good wine and excellent food. The restaurant operates an open kitchen, with a small menu cooked fresh in front of you. There's no big sign for the restaurant and you'd barely know it was there if you weren't looking for it. The current menu is found on the gate post and I would recommend it to any Richmond locals or visitors.
