What a fantastic find. We visited on the Saturday evening for the dining experience and were not disappointed. The food (cheese and charcuterie) was phenomenal, the service was brilliant (knowledgeable and enthusiastic), the wine was delicious, the ambiance and setting matched. We would definitely recommend this and will be back next time we are in the area. All in all a fantastic night that enhanced a magnificent weekend. Thank you so much.

The selection of cheese is excellent. I bought some farmhouse swaledale, which was full of flavour. They have cheese from the UK and abroad and it beats anything you can get in a supermarket.

Great cheese shop. We saw that there was an opportunity to have a charcuterie and cheese board dining opportunity on a Friday evening: irresistible! We were made so welcome and the food was incredible, washed down with a delicious wine. Could not fault it and would definitely recommend. Such personal service and genuine passion for providing the best of produce. You have to go here!

My wife and I have called in a few times and bought cheeses and biscuits. My favourite is the Yoredale cheese. So much to choose from. Very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended the Cheese Press.

Once again, they know their stuff, here. Try the Swaledale cheeses and raspberry pâte de fruits. The other delicacies look very good, too.

Old Station YardWe were planning on eating at the station restaurant, but got tempted by their menu and the prospect of eating outdoors on a very hot evening. . . .The Italian stew and horseradish mash was a delight. I would gladly return for their poke bowl/ lamb tagine= jerk chicken skewers, but sadly am moving on tomorrow . Soup and burgers look equally tempting . . Oh, and the staff are super friendly 😊

Harmby RoadWe dropped in after scouring the railway vintage memorabilia shop for a coffee and cakes. A very warm welcome from the staff and from the wonderful coal fire. We enjoyed the railway theme of the cafe and they have various Wensleydale Railway items for sale, such as beer and engraved glass packs. The home baking was excellent and the coffee hot and flavoursome. A good selection of snacks. It's the sort of place where everyone is relaxed and conversations with other customers start. Great to see and hear the trains going by. Seats on the platform if you want to get closer to the action.
