The best restaurants in Leeds Yorkshire and The Humber

Feeling peckish my friend decided he wanted fish & chips, we were on the Headrow so l thought of Nash's even though l've never eaten there. The reason for that is the business & alley approach looks so unwelcoming. And it did again...7 large green general waste dustbins right outside, rubbish everywhere. Now l know this is not the fault of Nash's but it's plain off-putting, they could screen it off for a small outlay. Secondly l said to my pal "lt's shut", everything about it led me to thinking that, even with an "open" flyer on the door, l was amazed the door opened when l pushed it. Oh oh, totally empty, no food in the fryers, really strange. The woman behind the counter was great, she explained that it was cooked fresh & wouldn't take long. 2 fish & chips were ordered and tbh l was not expecting much. I was wrong, the fish was really good and the chips fine & plentiful, mushy peas ok if a bit watery. The only negative was the tomato sauce, it was terrible, orange & cheap. Whilst we were eating 2 other customers arrived, so 4 in probably 40 minutes there. There is something wrong here, the food was good, the woman friendly & efficient but it is devoid of any atmosphere or decent furnishings, to me it looks like totally wasted potential. I'd probably give it another try, maybe l caught it on an unusually quiet day, but still, please make an effort on the approach & frontage to make it more welcoming, l'm sure it'd make huge difference.

Went for lunch. Two people. Waited to be served 20 minutes before they took order. Then they wrote order on a napkin. Only three tables busy inside and two outside. Came back to us saying there were too many people and they would cancel the order -gobsmacked. Never heard that. Especially in a cost of living crisis. Unbelievable

Seating comfortable. Service very good and speedy. Nice big pot of tea. Ham sandwich tasted a bit stale. A bit expensive. Nice setting but wouldn't visit again as I left with a funny taste in my mouth.

Went here for a few drinks whilst staying at the hotel - to be brutally honest it was the best part of our stay. The staff were very polite and efficient and we were able to use our Village gym membership cards from Blackpool - meaning a pint of Guinness was only £3.50 a pint. We plonked ourselves in front of the big screen and watched the sport on tv. There was a very good atmosphere generated by a few groups of guests - a good time was had by all. Early in the morning it was very quiet at the same venue for breakfast. The choice was varied but who can resist a full English breakfast? A good way to finish what was otherwise an average visit to the hotel.

Tuvimos 2 fantásticos desayunos aquí como huéspedes del hotel. El buffet era muy rico para Hiltons en el Reino Unido y el servicio era encantador, también.

Today I visited for the first time since before the March lockdown. The cafe was full to capacity with queuing out into the store. Surprisingly and disappointingly the table layout was the same as before Covid. No distancing. Staff were extremely busy and were doing their best. What was most surprising was the amount of mixed households. I know its difficult to police but it was obvious that many tables were mixed households. Two ladies ordered separately and paid separately but sat together on the same allocated table. Expected better from M & S.

Fui allí con mi familia y pedimos una buena cantidad de comida y pensamos que va a tomar mucho tiempo, pero nos dieron comida tan rápido y la comida era tan fresca y también el servicio al cliente era tan bueno. Todo era tan agradable y la presentación de la comida era tan bueno, incluso no había ningún problema de aparcamiento. Que en el almuerzo me alegra el día.

Comida pakistaní muy auténtica recién preparada con chappatis y rotis perfectos. Nunca he tenido una mala comida aquí, ¡no puedo recomendarlo lo suficiente!

This cafe is in a lovely setting, close to Otley Chevin and Woods. There are places to sit outside and also inside, but it can get very busy. We ordered lattes and cake. The lattes were ok, but the cake was a very small piece for the price and also very dry. We did get a refund on the cakes as the quality was poor, but as we do not consider this place value for money, due to small portions, we would not return.

Great food always hot and enough 😋 alway use these everytime i want a takeaway chicken korma and rice the nicest i have had anywere

£10 for a kid size burger that was burnt with no chips or drink :D They had an offer to buy one and get one free, purchased one burger and only received one! The person on the phone dealt with the problem in the most unprofessional and rude way possible. Simply avoid this shop there are plenty of better options.

Tuve una hermosa ensalada de cebolla bhaji de chop'd. Andy fue realmente amable y tenía un gran conocimiento del producto, ayudándome a elegir cuando tenía muchas opciones. Volveré pronto para probar las otras opciones vegetarianas y veganas que me gustaron cuando las visité.

Read the order PUT THE CORRECT TOPPINGS ON. For gods sake, every time I go here they f*** something up. It’s really not hard just do it properly.

My son and i ordered on deliveroo, we got tofu bao buns and bubble teas each. To cut to the chase, i ended up cooking my own food for our “Friday takeaway night”. The buns were awful to say the least! The tofu was hard but soggy on the outside, it was fried to the point the inside was like thin plastic/rubber! My son cringed at the sight. They didn’t look appealing in the slightest! The bun included salad which was just iceberg lettuce so very very plain and tasteless! No dressing salt pepper, nothing. We didn’t eat the buns, not even a bite, we threw the whole thing away. They looked honestly like they’d been made 5 days ago then reheated in a microwave and “refreshed” with the lettuce! The teas, well again these hardly got touched! They had zero flavour and both looked the same colour, (like an ice tea brown). I honestly thought they tasted like a watery peach tea dilute! My cherry bubbles were in my sons mango tea and he’s allergic to cherry!!! And his passion fruit bubbles were in my grape tea! I obviously did the tasting as they just looked awful and i didn’t want to put my son through anymore misery after the bao bun let down! The teas didn’t really taste of the actual flavours they were supposed to, at all. Even though i only had a few sips of each tea, it made the bridge of my gum sore!! We were well and truly disappointed!! A total waste of £24. Which to be honest is quite over priced for what we got! We will never ever buy from this place again. I was embarrassed for them to be quite honest as i had to remain positive infront of my son and come up with answers as to why it was so appalling. Such a disappointment for him. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, ever!

Encantadora bienvenida a la primera dama tomó orden a la 1 pm. Preguntó dónde la comida está esperando 40 minutos. Para 2 papas al horno. La señorita muy grosera dijo: "para cuando estuve aquí .... Llegaron las papas a las 2: 00 anemia de ninguna manera había sido horneada al horno. Patata cruda. Trataron de cocinar la mía otra vez, aún sin cocer, simplemente derritieron el queso. Me negué para comer. No nos cobraron. Me regalaron un sándwich gratuito que me quité. Grano de salmón en salmón. No se disculparon por llamar por teléfono. No quería ver el hueso. Averigua por qué lo tomaría más. yo.
