Seating comfortable. Service very good and speedy. Nice big pot of tea. Ham sandwich tasted a bit stale. A bit expensive. Nice setting but wouldn't visit again as I left with a funny taste in my mouth.

Called in for a coffee whilst waiting for appointment, 3 adults, decided to have brunch whilst there, Spam and egg Sandwich, Prawn salad Sandwich and Feta Salad sandwhch. All were delicious, bread fresh, salad fresh and crisp, prawns were huge. Coffee very good too. Really good. Waitress friendly, service was good, but I can agree with others, the male was obviously the owner, wasn't doing much work apart from taking the order, and being short with the lady in the kitchen, he just sat and listened to us talking, he didn't acknowledge our compliments when we left or say goodbye. He does need to brush up on his customer service he is letting the others down.

Went today whilst we waited for an appointment. Waitress was lovely and friendly and we got our tea and bacon butty promptly and with a smile. The owner however is rude and whilst he greeted customers who were obviously regulars, he didn't speak when I spoke to him nor did he acknowledge us with a smile. Not a bad place but the owner needs a little more customer service training!

Rude and disrespectful manager. When he saw me with four of my grandchildren, he said all tables were reserved. And this was at 11am on Wednesday 27/10/21. When I asked about four free tables he told me those were for lunchtime customers. I pointed out to him that we were paying customers too and there were no reserved notices on any of them. He didn’t reply just turned round and walked away while I was still talking. When I asked him why he was turning us away, he had no reply. I questioned him why there were no notices saying ‘no children’ as he clearly was against kids coming in, he had no answer. This has happened before when he told us they were busy when though the restaurant was half empty. This is not acceptable and very disturbing that he can pick and choose who can come in. If you have children don’t bother going. You’ll get turned away every time. Children are not welcome at Cafe Rain in Pudsey. I certainly will not be going back after being insulted and treated like an unwanted guest. I’m disappointed that in this day and age that type of behaviour is allowed.

Visited on Saturday for a cuppa and a cake while passing through Pudsey. There was a great selection of cakes to choose from and both the coffee & walnut and chocolate fudge cake went down well. The cafe itself was light, airy, comfortable and clean. The owner was very friendly and the service efficient. No complaints at all.

Stopped by for a lunchtime break. Very very impressed. Parents ordered scrambled egg on toast and a huge bacon sandwich. I asked if they did anything Gluten Free.. I fancied something sweet and had a choice of cheesecake or chocolate cake. I of course ordered the cheesecake. I was asked if I was ok with the ice cream and cream, they then explained they didn’t put the drizzle on as they weren’t guarantee if it was gluten free. Great knowledge with this team for anyone eating here with a food intolerance. Great coffee with a good crema on top and when we asked for strong tea, they offered 2 tea bags. Great and friendly service, certainly will pop in here again great team who are very friendly.

Having had a big meal the night before, we were looking for a place for a light lunch, and Cafe Rain fitted the bill. The place was warm and clean and the staff friendly; I had the ham salad roll and my friend had an omelette which were very nice, if not a little expensive; the ham salad roll was particularly full, and when I asked for mayo I was concerned it would be covered but there was just the right amount. To drink we had coffees, and my cappuccino was nice, but my friend said his latte was a little tasteless. Would happily return TOP TIP: they don't take cards, so make sure you have enough cash

This is quite a nice cafe for adults. The owner isn't child friendly at all and the experience is always better if you don't have to deal with him at all! The ladies who work there are lovely, he needs shutting away in the back.

Visited the cafe as part of a business lunch that we pre ordered and paid for so it was ready in time for us to take our lunch. Due to the misunderstanding by the staff, we walked in and was met with the rude, old owner shouting and balling with his arms in the air as to how we shouldn’t be in here (despite there being tables free). The lovely waitress was happy to accommodate and plate up our boxed lunches, we however declined due to the rude and god awful reception received. I feel the cafe would be better ran and thought of by lovely waitress minus the god awful owner!!

We visited Cafe Rain for the first time today, and we were blown away. The coffee was excellent, the menu was varied and reasonably priced, and it was very clean. We ordered wraps and they were the best wraps we have had in a long time. It seemed a great deal of effort had gone into the dishes, and presentation. It was very reasonably priced, and we had a great time. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Visited Cafe Rain in Pudsey. Its situated on the main street opp bus station next to sainsburys. Very clean, very light due to the large windows at the front and side. You can sit and watch the world go by. Lovely fresh cappuccino and a bacon sarnie a builder would be proud of. Bacon cooked just right served on a soft fresh roll. Friendly staff who can't do enough. Will be back

Staff Great Main course Rissoto was just a mussy mess lacked taste and Asparagus burnt Chicken was like rubber and broccoli so badly burnt was not edible . Dessert choclate fondant and ice cream good. We were told that a trainee was in the kitchen while the head chef was somewhere else . This was a gift from a special person so very disappointed. Feeling peckish my friend decided he wanted fish & chips, we were on the Headrow so l thought of Nash's even though l've never eaten there. The reason for that is the business & alley approach looks so unwelcoming. And it did again...7 large green general waste dustbins right outside, rubbish everywhere. Now l know this is not the fault of Nash's but it's plain off-putting, they could screen it off for a small outlay. Secondly l said to my pal "lt's shut", everything about it led me to thinking that, even with an "open" flyer on the door, l was amazed the door opened when l pushed it. Oh oh, totally empty, no food in the fryers, really strange. The woman behind the counter was great, she explained that it was cooked fresh & wouldn't take long. 2 fish & chips were ordered and tbh l was not expecting much. I was wrong, the fish was really good and the chips fine & plentiful, mushy peas ok if a bit watery. The only negative was the tomato sauce, it was terrible, orange & cheap. Whilst we were eating 2 other customers arrived, so 4 in probably 40 minutes there. There is something wrong here, the food was good, the woman friendly & efficient but it is devoid of any atmosphere or decent furnishings, to me it looks like totally wasted potential. I'd probably give it another try, maybe l caught it on an unusually quiet day, but still, please make an effort on the approach & frontage to make it more welcoming, l'm sure it'd make huge difference.

£8.70 for a small portion of haddock and chips with a drink. The batter was completely soggy. Definitely not a proper fish and chip shop. Such a shame, as the staff seemed very nice. Hygiene around the premises seemed an issue.

Called in for a quick beer with my partner, I noticed there was a staff member from the Wakefield spoons, now one of the team managers at Morley, I spoke to her and she basically just ignored me, don't think this is professional from a management member. All other staff were friendly and polite, won't go back to that venue again.

so, normally we go to the Bridgewater arms for food (another flaming grill), however our nearest pub is actually this one so we thought we'd come here for food on Saturday evening. I looked at the menus and opening times and saw that the app stated the kitchen closed at 9 pm, so I booked a table for 8.30 on the understanding that I’d be able to get food thinking nothing of it and that we could have a night out with some food, and then to stay and drink until closing. We arrived in a cab around 20 past eight, giving us ten minutes advance for the table anyway and were sat at table two, where they normally have it reserved for the festive menus but were told we could eat there anyway. We then went ahead and were just about to push our orders through the app when someone ran over and told us not to put any food through as the kitchen was closed and had been since 8. This was extremely frustrating as if I’d have known this before, we would have probably gone to another green king pub where we could both eat and drink throughout the night. once finding this out, I then quickly rang ahead to first the GK in LS15 which said we'd make it to late for food then to Bridgewater, who also told us we wouldn't make it as they also shut at nine so not only could we not eat here, but we also missed out on a flaming grill, resulting in us last minute having to book to the harvester in Scholes LS15, resulting in yet another cab fair, which was significantly higher, but unfortunately the only option left to us at this point and also meaning green king missed out on our custom, because the information on food wasn't known before we'd arrived. I went to speak to a manager at the bar before we left, he told us there was nothing he could do even after I explained the situation so not only were we not able to order food from the kitchen that was advertised as open, but then had a manager tell me there was nothing that he could do and walking off. Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience
