The new inn has an amazing atmosphere. The beer is reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and while the TV’s are showing sports they do not blare out and make conversation difficult. The new landlady of the pub is a lovely person and she runs a tight ship.

Well I’ve eaten here twice now and I’ve got to say it’s the best Indian food I’ve had. I had a lamb bhuna the first night with boiled rice and chicken saag the next. The bhuna was in a rich and thick curry sauce and the meat was nice and tender Not like some places where the meat is tough and the sauce is a bit thin. I had a freshly made naan bread and I paid about £13.50 which I couldn’t fault the price. I think my chicken saag was less at around £12.50 and that was just as good if not better than the bhuna. I actually got chatting to a couple of Indian guys in the place who were nice and friendly which I thought was good. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed. 👍

Early meal. Mixed starter was ok. But wasnt too sure of the shami kebab. It was very watery and mushy texture. Asked for keema with some potatoes. Not a potato curry with a bit of mince. Hearing ping of microwaves despite stating having to wait because its fresh prepared. Couldn't understand the waiter. Disappointing as we don't go out too often.

Had two meals over the space of last weekend, Bank Holiday. One was a Sunday lunch which was lovely. Generous portions and the cauliflower cheese was particularly yummy! Went back to watch the match on Monday and had Cajun Chicken Nachos. Portion was huge for £5.95 and absolutely delicious. Staff were great, as it was busy. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Fleece in Farsley to anyone. Will certainly be back :-)

I opted for a portion of meat samosas and a portion of kebabs. The samosas were bland and not homemade and I dont even think they had any meat in them ( imo) , the kebabs were about 4mm thick and very chewy, overcooked i suspect and not very tasty at all.the reason I gave 3 stars is because the staff were very polite and the food was average. Will I call in again? Probably not but could possibly give it another try if I'm passing by.
