Lala’s Restaurant in Leeds

La La's has been on my list for a long time so I was very happy when this was selected as the venue for our birthday party, the reviews are good but they bear no resemblance to our experience at all. Over crowded, table was not ready so our party was left in the small lobby area with very little seating, our table was too small for the party size as we were squashed on to uneven tables. High expectations of the food quality were quickly dashed by bland dishes including seriously overcooked chicken. My fellow party members were underwhelmed apart from possibly a few who enjoyed it. There was an obvious air of speed to get us out but when the bill arrived it was completely mixed up. This left me really puzzled about other reviews was our experience because is was a Saturday evening, did they over book? I want to give a shout out for the staff who served us they did well.

Lovely Food and great service. Zahid was our server and he was extremely polite and attentive. All the food was fresh and tasty. I would recommend this restaurant and think it's even better since the renovation.

A party of 5 We all ordered various dishes from the menu. We all came to the same conclusion. It was disappointing. Very bland and lacking taste. Has locals we all believe this was the worst we have all been to in the Bradford area!

First time here for me & my friends for my birthday meal. Our table was ready straight away for us. Orders for drinks and starters straight away. Food came out quickly and effeciently and was 10/10 lovely and fresh and tasty & hot !! Not sure if we had the manager looking after us but he was amazing !! I made a special announcement to my friends and he brought sparklers/played music and made a fuss! Then brought my birthday cake out /played music and sang happy birthday. We really didn’t expect the entertainment side of it at all and it was great fun for the kids ! Absolute 10/10 service/food/atmosphere & entertainment!! To say how busy the restaurant was the service was 10/10 - Will defo be back in the future would highly recommend. Stunning restaurant with a car park with parking attendant too !! Class place

Had tea at LaLa’s with some former colleagues of mine. It’s in a good location - easy to get to and plenty of parking onsite. Inside the restaurant is nicely set out and decorated. The staff are friendly, polite and professional. Now on to the food - just incredible ! I had Seekh Kebab to start - nice portion size and good flavour. For my main I had Chicken Tikka and Keema Balti and this was perfect - not too mild , but not too hot either. Again, a good size portion. I will definitely be visiting again and will recommend LaLa’s to friends and family. Finally, I must give a mention to Shoaib who looked after us - a great guy and a credit to you.

Visitado temprano en un día de semana. El personal era amable y acogedor. Pedimos entrantes y red. Los entrantes fueron increíbles y sorprendentemente generosos en porciones. La comida principal estaba en cuanto a sabor y en general genial, pero sentí que el pollo en mi principal (tikka de pollo y balti de ajo) sabía "calentado". Como si el pollo se cocinara antes de volver a calentarlo. En general, sin embargo, la red era brillante. Los diversos estaban frescos. El servicio fue genial. Además del chisme mencionado. Me impresionó mucho en general y recomendaría encarecidamente a cualquiera que visite.

La comida era increíble y tan sabrosa. ¡El pan nan es increíble! Sin duda volveré a visitar de nuevo la próxima vez que esté en Yorkshire.

Increíble comida y servicio. No podía decidir entre Keema Madras de Keema Bhuna, Asalan recomendó Keema & Potato Karahi Asian Style, me alegro de que hizo como absolutamente me encantó, normalmente no como un plato principal completo, pero lo hizo esta noche. Fuimos con mi esposa, suegra y cuñada (su primera visita) todos realmente disfrutamos de la comida, el servicio excelente y un gran ambiente. Me alegro de que reservamos para las 6 de la tarde como estar muy ocupado cuando nos fuimos.

Hemos estado luchando para encontrar un restaurante de curry decente en Bradford y sus alrededores recientemente. Es difícil de creer. Lala’s fue muy recomendable para nosotros y no nos decepcionó. Habíamos reservado una mesa y nos sentamos rápidamente. Mi hermana y yo pedimos kebabs Seekh y pollo tikka y keema. Nuestro camarero era Zaynab (espero que tenga el nombre correcto). Era soberbio, atento pero no en tu cara. Los kebabs eran enormes y venían como un chisporroteo. Estaban deliciosos. Nuestro curry era una muy buena porción y también era delicioso. Después de comer kebabs tan grandes tuvimos que dejar un poco de curry. Eso no fue un problema porque Zaynab nos lo embolsó todo. Definitivamente volveremos. Solo ten en cuenta que si quieres que el pollo en tu curry sea pechuga de pollo, solo hazles saber.

Lala’s was choice destination for a birthday meal tonight and absolutely lives up to all the hype it gets!! The food is simply sensational and speaking as someone who has tried his fair share of curries, delivers some of the best quality food I have tasted! My entire party felt the same way and we all agreed we cant wait to revisit! From decor to staff, ambience to value, everything was smashing! Thank you!

Service was excellent especially one of our waiters, Zee was so polite, nice, funny , he’s a credit to his boss’s. Food was yummy and we couldn’t eat it all, took some home. The strawberry mojito was delicious.

The welcome we received was great, we had an 11 month old baby, and we were 12 in total, were treated like royalty. Instead of being hidden as some would treat babies, he was spoiled and treated. I would recommend this restaurant every time, our food was perfect and though busy, we never felt hurried or harassed. In fact perfect.

Customer service absolutely AMAZING!! Our waiters Shoaib and Nainy were very humble and welcoming with a lot of warm energy!! Made us feel extremely comfortable. Very friendly with children. My 7 year old left the restaurant buzzing after her interactions with the waiters and staff. This was my third time visiting, we always order the lalas mixed grill special and lamb karahi it was mouthwatering as usual the standards have remained exceptionally high on each visit. Strawberry and mango lassi went down a treat 8.5/10. Strawberry mojito 8/10 a bit on the sweeter end. Garlic naan simple and fresh. Definitely in my top 3. Will be visiting again and recommending to anyone who will ask.

We ordered a daal dish together with a chicken and spinach combo and two of the hanging naan’s. We both thought the food was tasty and would be happy to return again.. This is a licensed restaurant and you cannot bring your own alcohol

Went as a group to Lala’s. Booked a table in advance and on arrival was greeted and taken to our table with little fuss. Restaurant is beautiful inside and decor is a thing of beauty. Really extensive menu, probably too much choice, but has everything. Prices are also really competitive I think and great value. I went for cheesy Sheek kebabs which was recommended to me and meat and spinach Balti with a naan. It was all yummy and really good. Service was spot on as well. Good first visit and highly recommended

Been to Lalas a few times now and it never disappoints - food is always fab, staff polite, helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble, if owner is on site he will talk to diners and assist staff with a smile on his face. Best place for a meal out without a doubt, have recommended and will continue to recommend for fab curries at decent prices AAAAA+++++

Here for a family meal for dads 70th. Food and service was amazing. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. The owner even took his time to wish dad a happy birthday and let him have a picture in his stunning car.

Went to a work venue on Friday evening, booked for 6.30pm all seated promptly 50 of us, all I can say the staff were exceptional in every way from taking orders for drinks bringing them quickly, and the meal which was lovely. Everybody fully enjoyed the evening. Plenty of choice great curry huge naan breads it was delicious. Top marks for the waiters they worked so hard for a big party venue. Thank you Lala’s.

Used to be excellent, in terms of food, service and value for money. We have been many times since it opened and we returned due to the quality. Maybe this last visit was a "one off", but it certainly didn't match previous visits. The menu has changed, with some improved vegetarian options. However, whilst the service was ok, it was not of the standard experienced before. We had hardly sat down when we were asked for our choices; we hadn't even picked up the menus. The wrong wine was brought, though it was changed. We weren't offered water, but it was brought on request. The starter poppadoms were ok. The actual starter centred on chick peas, which tasted as though they were pretty much straight out of a tin. The mains were again ok, but nothing special. The lamb meal was not on the bone as previously and was a bit overspiced. The vegetarian main was somewhat underspuced for a bhuna. Whilst prices have gone up everywhere; the cost of a meal for two with a couple of drinks has become quite expensive - with adding on an element for service it came to £70. This is no longer really affordable tbh nor is it good value for money and longer. Unfortunately we both had a bad night's sleep and stomach ache which lasted through the following day. Sadly, given our previous better experiences; we will.be giving Lalas a miss.

We went to Lala's on the 7th February for my Wife's birthday. The whole night from start to finish was spot on. The staff was first class, nothing was too much trouble and so was the food. we arrived at 7.15pm and we was the last to leave, just before 12. Great Night.

Always spot on really good service nice food and the owner is so hands on always good and waiters are so good we’ve been a few times and they are always good

I arrived really early before any of our work colleagues. I was asked to wait in the reception area at the bar. This area was packed full of people and very noisy. I waited for 30 mins till all our colleagues arrived, we still had to wait till Dr Hakeem the booking host arrived, which was around 19:20. We went to the back of this over packed restaurant a group of about 25 of us and sat down, packed together. We all gave our order. I told the waiter, that I don't eat carbs. He said what are you going to eat with your Sea food Balti, rice, nan, chapattis'. I asked for grilled vegetables. He looked confused. My colleague advised him loudly that I don't eat carbs. I still do not understand why roasted or grilled vegetables are not on the menu. I was not offered salad. Anyway the atmosphere was too noisy with people talk ect and loud music. Apart from that the food was very nice and authentic.

We had a family party for around 45 people at Lala's Pudsey in October and it was fantastic. Great atmosphere, amazing food and we were well looked after despite being a large group on a busy Saturday night. Special thanks to Ajay and his team for looking after us and making the night very special. We chose Lala's as it seems to be the nicest south asian restaurant in the area (and an India family is hard to please) and it did not disappoint.

We always saw it full of parked cars whenever we went past it, so gave it a try. Cosy, upmarket interior with a lot of money spent on thoughtful decor. Nice, relaxed atmosphere and attentive waiting staff. What let it down was the taste of the food. All the items we ordered tasted the same, so obviously an assembly job from pre-prepared stuff. However, even more dire was the fact that both the curries we ordered were actually bitter! The were very obviously highly over-spiced (not Hot, but a surfeit of Indian spices). The lamb and okra curry was the worst we have ever tasted.; not only bitter by not even well-cooked, and it was well crunchy! A big no-no in Indian/ Pakistani recipes for okra. This may be reflection of the chef's practice rather than restaurant policy. Good, extensive parking, prices OK, starters OK. Would not recommend.

I regularly visit with my partner, and the food and service is always amazing! The owner 'Junior' always greets us and takes the time to have a nice friendly catchup whenever we visit. Our most recent waiter 'Yaser' was very polite and professional, as was 'AJ' the manager, and of course, all of the other staff deserve credit too. We always look forward to the amazing food. Big thanks to the amazing chefs. We will be back again soon!
