Bland tasteless food. Waste of money and the worst curry I have had in years. It would have been much better to go to the supermarket.

Enjoyable impromptu visit. Popped in after a couple of drinks in the village. Fish masala and onion bhaji starters followed by chicken golda(on recommendation) and prawn shashlik. Naan and spinach sides. Really enjoyed it, fresh cooked and tasty. Will go again.

the man behind the counter also cooked the food. It was rubbish. He was unhappy and so was I when I took it home. Not genuine. A sorry excuse for Asian food. What a shame for Boston Spa!

When Ali's first opened it was really good and remained so for years. Then I didn't go for a little while (for no particular reason) and when I went back, two years ago, and got a takeaway it was awful and I vowed never to go again. However, this evening, as I happened to park opposite the restaurant, I decided to give it another go. I wasn't terribly hungry so ordered two starters - prawn chaat and shish kebabs (this was at about 6.15pm and it was completely empty). Vile! Absolutely SWIMMING in grease - I couldn't eat the chaat base, which I normally love; the "prawns" - when I could locate them - were miniscule - barely shrimps; the kebab was chewy and had hard bits in and the salad was brown and sogg. It was all disgusting and after three mouthfuls, went straight in the bin. This time I really mean it - NEVER, EVER again!

I don’t like writing negative reviews. But this was such poor value that I’d rather others didn’t experience such a dreadful takeaway as we did. The king prawn curry had three prawns ( if that), the mixed starters looked very unappetising including a piece of incredibly tough meat, the pappadoms disintegrated into crumbs, the rice that we’d ordered and paid for was missing, the chicken was tough and overcooked…really terrible value for £40plus for two. You have been warned! We used to like this place but something has gone badly wrong and we won’t be going back.

Disappointing. Had a few take outs now. Always have lamb...its always been tough. Not sure I'll go back. Shame as I've had some great eat ins there pre covid. Went again last night. Ordered korma and tikka masala and a naan. Cost over £20. All sauce. No chicken. I won’t be back.

Very nice local takeaway. Food tasted amazing and fresh. Couldn’t fault any dish. Only thing could make it better would be to eat it there.

Had dinner at Ali's Kitchen last Saturday. Warm welcome on arrival, swiftly shown to take. Perused menus before ordering. Poppadoms with chutney tray to start, mains we had Chicken Chilli Garlic ( this has a kick) chicken massalla and Sharazi Special. Sides to share, mushroom & pilau rice, chips, garlic Nan & 1 chapati . Food arrived in good time, good portions, lovely and freshly cooked, very tasty. All in all, a great time was had by all. Worst keema naan I have ever purchased from an Indian takeaway. Minced lamb filling was non-existant. I also expected much better quality of food for the remainder of the food. Will be back to my usual favourite Indian takeaway/restaurant as the 20 minute drive is worth it.

As always brilliant, fresh, tasty food, good service, friendly staff and good value for money. We will definitely be back.

Very poor curry take away. The chicken in both curries was very dry and like rubber and had a distinctive taste to it.. first time trying this take away and will be the last. It all went in the bin

Visited with friends on Friday evening. Not been before but one of our friends has regular take-outs and raves about it. Not the biggest place, but the restaurant is nicely laid out. It's bring your own drinks which works. We opted for 4 poppadoms with chutney tray to start while we looked over the menu. No starters, the mains we choose were chicken chom chom, chicken rogan josh, chicken khajori and lastly shirazi special, side orders of veg and pilau rice, & 2 nan breads, 1 garlic, 1 garlic & coriander. Food arrived in due course, it looked and smelt lovely , good size options, just enough. We all commented on how nice the food tasted, freshly cooked and piping hot. Ali the owner came out and spoke to us as we used to go to his restaurant when he was in Wetherby. Nice to catch up after all those years. Highly recommend giving Ali's Kitcen a try, im sure you won't be disappointed. We willl be back for sure.

Had a lamb tikka naan kebab as not had one for years and it was absolutely spot on - well filled, really tasty and fresh with perfect soft naan. All wrapped in foil too so kept hot for the drive back.

I took food from this pathetic takeaway or reasturant. i orderd for Mutton, as this was a takeout order they gave me chicken and i know that when i reached at my destination about 5 mil away. And chicken was also full of spices without taste..🤮

Me and my son dropped by for a portion of chips and some sauce. The seating area was far from empty and yet it was quiet, and if a place is full and quiet it means the food has everyone's interest! To say we had a small order we were addressed and spoken to as Kings. A great gentleman served us and he engaged with my boy like we were regular visitors. The food was great and I will most definitely return the next time I can.

Honestly food was shocking half cooked kebabs and i paid £30 for it. I talked to the chef who made my food and he was rude and impulsive and he doesn't want to take the blame for his own mistakes instead he teaches the waiters how to do their jobs properly and honestly the waiters were so freindly and helpful however the chef wasn't. im from york and i never seen food half cooked to nearly raw.

Recently moved to North Yorkshire (10 Months) and up until yesterday we had not found one restaurant or take away that I would return to. We tried one of the large restaurants in Harrogate which was very poor. Our two local Indians are virtually inedible. Most curries we have tried lack depth, are watery, RED in colour and have added sugar in everything. The two meals we had at Ali's were very authentic and fresh tasting with good depth and just the right amount of heat. Will definitely return. If I had one very small critique - the chicken pieces were a bit on the large size.

Picked up a king prawn Desi Masala keema rice and cauliflower baji. This was the best curry I have ever had and I have had a lot. Fantastic.

Tried this takeaway today for the first time. I ordered two kabab and chips meals the chips were under cooked and the Portion of meat was smaller than a handful. I later found out by staff the kabab arrives in a bucket already cut from the whole sale so not fresh. I spent £35 took the kebabs back to find the chef very rude. He started having ago at the two young men who worked there, this was no fault of there’s as they didn’t even work in the kitchen or cook the food. My friend ordered two chicken kababs they messed the order up and gave them two frozen yogurts which when I took the yoghurt back they said it was supposed to be like that I picked the yoghurt up out of the tub it was solid like ice cubes. We eventually got half a refund of what we paid after asking more than once and been polite yet the chef was very rude. The other two young men was lovely very helpful and helped us eventually get some money back!

Don't remember the last time I had such an excellently cooked meal. You could tell the spices were freshly ground, and the meat was beautifully tender. The range on the menu means that there is something for everyone. I had a lovely light onion Bhaji which was freshly cooked, and the pappadums came with a good selection of dips ( be wary of the lime one as it creeps up on you!). My main dish was one of their traditional chicken dishes with a blend of spices very cleverly done so you could distinguish each of then, but all together created a delicious experience to remember. Will definitely be back for more.

A very nice meal which can be watched as it's made. You can can speak to the chef and explain to him how hot (spicy) you like it. Situated in Boston Spa for the one's who might find it difficult to find. 😁 21/07/18 Saturday, tonight sat in the restaurant and enjoyed a lovely meal which the chef personaly prepared for us. Resteraunt nice and modern inside. Unfortunately food wasn't so great. Chicken was tough and wasn't how I'd expect a Rogan Josh. Hopefully it was just a bad batch.

Such a wonderful family business that serves really delicious food with great service. I had a fantastic meal. The samosa chaat was perfect, the mum's special curry was exactly what I was after - some authentic home style food, and the Fal was brilliantly spicy and tasty too. Looking forward to going next time I'm in the area and I'm going to try the chef's brothers restaurant in London soon! Thanks for such a lovely evening. X

After our last bad meal I decided to give them one more go but alas all the same cold, bland with Little flavour and no spice, my special biryani was more like greasy fried rice with small diced dried meat in it , certainly nothing special apart from the price. Overall very poor and it will be the last time unfortunately as it was so good a year ago.

First time eating from this takeout, delivery service very quick and lovely driver delivered my food. Food not very good, full of water, no taste, chicken very chewy and not the warmest. Quite disappointed

We had a staff night out here and can honestly say it’s simply the best food and all agreed no disappointments here for sure 🤩Thank You. I would like to add to this review and say in my experience of using Alis Kitchen on several occasions I have never heard a bad word from any customer against staff while been served or from takeaway collections, I believe people are of course entitled to thier opinion but seems to be any complaint with these recent comments have been very vague and actually don't sound genuine. We will return and enjoy the fabulous offerings when times are good again 👍

I’ve been going to Ali’s Kitchen since they’ve opened and it’s always been absolutely fantastic whether you eat in or take away. There’s always a friendly welcome and the food is always delicious- I’ve never been disappointed.

Used to eat here regularly when I lived in Boston Spa and it first opened (think it was 2017!) Moved away for a while and recently moved back this year. Ordered takeaway 3 times from here and never dissapoints. Always arrives early too which is a bonus!

I ordered a take away via just eat and was given a delivery time of well over an hour which was not ideal. Then the order was another 20 mins late on top of that. I called Alis kitchen and the server said the order...

Terrible and will never use again. When delivered part of the order was missing and the Tandoori Mixed Grill consisted of cremated chicken and for £11.50 it would not have satisfied the appetite of a small child. Following on from your response, please don’t try to make out you did us big favour, you should have delivered the correct order first time. Also you did not send any free rice and the extra curry you did send consisted of 4 small pieces of chicken.

Expensive Ordered chicken 🐔 and got beef / lamb.not sure which it was as late when I got round to eating it. By then it was too late to phone! Ordered arrived at 7pm . Not overly impressed 😒. Poor show .

As we we’re visiting relatives who live near the bridge, we thought we’d walk up to collect our takeaway. Great social distancing occurring, not so great food. Chewy naan bread & low quality chicken in the curry. May try again post - COVID. Edit & reply 1: I actually did try phoning but couldn’t get through - it just said user busy. We have always loved the food here but have just had the worst curry ever, apart everything being clap cold, it was tasteless, unseasoned, with no spice or heat at all. We get the same dishes usually but these were different, very small portions watery...

Had to wait 40 minutes for our takeaway. .whilst mine was good my daughter had the chicken korma and was sick for the next 48 hours. Did get a refund and apology...I have just seen the response from the owner. ...amazingly it's the same with all their negative reviews they pretend I've never been there just like all the other reviews on here that aren't 4 stars. No integrity in that ..you took my details when you have refunded me!!!! Instead of trying to ignore negative criticism perhaps you should learn from it !!!

Excellent authentic asian cuisine. This place is tops for exquisite food. The taste and quality is far superior in my opinion to others in the locality. The place is immaculately clean and the staff are very welcoming.

Food was pretty decent, service was friendly and fine but portions were small, last time we called we both ended up with the runs, this time we called we were charged "corkage" of £4 because we took beer with us as they don't have a license and a note on the entrance door suggests it. I think that's a bit of a liberty, I don't think they should be doing it and we definitely won't be returning.

You must dine here to experience great taste and hospitality. Sometimes if you dine in on busy nights fast food becomes “the best things come to those who wait”. It’s all cooked from scratch. Best Indian food ever.

Visited Ali’s Kitchen this week with my elderly mother and had a really lovely meal. Both Ali and his son Hussain made a big fuss of my mother which made her feel great. I can recommend this place for a super, freshly cooked curry.

As an unlicensed restaurant it worked well allowing us to drop our drinks off early before our meal to be chilled. On arrival the welcome and food/service was fantastic. Could not fault it. Will return !
