Always good service & good food

Properly good Curry, everything was piping hot and spiced as requested, cooked and brought to the tables really quickly, bring your own drinks, glasses are available as are bottle openers. Did I mention the food was delicious 😋

Food seems to be hit and miss. Overall starters are always tip top, but mains can be anywhere from an average meal to an amazing meal. Fish masala best I've ever had

After being told this place was really good thought we would try it for a change. It was awful. Rogan josh and korma were bland and watery. Bhaji and samosas looked and tasted like they had been made in a factory and had just been chucked in a deep fat fryer. They were so dry and no amount of raita could save them , chapatis too were really thick and dry. Just to add to this experience our delivery turned up tepid so we spent 15 mins warming it up in the oven. All in all avoid at all costs. Won't be ordering again

Always topnotch food here. We went a bit overboard on starters but everything is really tasty. The masala fish and tandoori chicken were delicious.

Great environment for a small family get together

I came here with my partner as our usual local indian restaurant was unexpectedly closed. The food was delicious! Hot, flavourful, appetising to the eye. We got seated straight away even without a booking. The value is very reasonable and the portion sizes are just right so there wasn't any wasted food at the end. We will be back again.

We had to wait upstairs in a cold empty room until we were told the table was ready. It was not. We were then verbally abused by a member of staff who argued that it was our fault the table wasn't ready. He was rude, hostile and told us to leave if we weren't happy. By this time we had been waiting for an hour and a half, so stayed because the children were hungry. Horrible experience, not recommended.

They pushed the table back 30 minutes. The popadoms were stale and the chutneys were tasteless. They brought out uncooked food and starters came out at 9:45pm and we were told to order mains and leave by 10:00pm. The veg starters were so sweet they gave me cavities. Over the phone we were told we only had to pay £20 per person but when we got there they told us we had to pay £30 per person. They sat us down knowing we would only have half an hour for 20 people to eat starters and mains and wait for it all to come out. The waiters messed up quite a few orders and after asking for a drink 10 times they never gave it and told us to leave instead.

We booked for 20 people on Christmas eve and were told its £20 pp. When we arrived at 8pm ( after being told the table was delayed) ordered drinks and starters. After drinks came out we got stale Poppadoms and tasteless chutneys. The veg starters were poor and the meat and chicken starters were ok. At this time staff told us its all Al a carte price and not £20pp. We were about to order mains when we were told the chefs are leaving in 10mins! Needless to say our guests were dissapointed and still hungry. We complained that they should've told us the timings of the kitchen on booking. They didn't give us any apologies and we paid full price even though 3 dishes were inedible. Worst indian I've been to in a long time, and compared to the long list of Indian eateries in Bradford they land right at the bottom! Don't bother if you like a proper Indian!!

Decided to try this place on Xmas Eve, NEVER AGAIN. Firstly they put our booking back by 30 minutes, the restaurant was dirty, the food was stale and we didn’t even get our mains as we were told the kitchen was closing in ten minutes, we had only been there an hour and fifteen minutes. The service was disgraceful and I would never go back there again.

We booked a table for 20 people and they pushed our table back to 8.30. Once we got there we ordered poppadoms which were stale and not edible. We ordered our starters and they came around 40 mins later. The food was tasteless and the veg starters tasted more like deserts than spicy food. We were initially told the chefs would be in the kitchen till 11, however at 9.45, we were told we only had 15 minutes to order our mains as the chefs were leaving at 10pm. The staff, management etc didn’t seem to care and came across very rude and arrogant. They should not have taken a booking for 20 people if they could not cater for them. The service was so bad, that we decided to leave without ordering our main meal. The staff did not apologise and the full payment was taken from us. This restaurant is on our doorstep and we will not be going again. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone at all. I have not rated the stars as giving them one star would be too generous. Terrible place, DO NOT BOOK.

Literally threatened by the owners son when food delivered. So, I ordered via just eat, the app did tell me food was on its way, however its hard for me to hear my front door when I'm upstairs so I have installed a doorbell. So I'm mooching about and next thing I hear is what sounds like somebody trying to put my front door through. I start to make my way downstairs and literally seconds later I hear the same aggressive banging. When I get downstairs there's a guy with his nose pressed against my lounge window. So anyway I answer the door, take my food and just politely say to the guy, there's no need to bang on my door so hard, just push the doorbell, I can hear that wherever I am in the house. The delivery agent jumped on the offensive and told me he'd tried it and it didn't work (he didn't, I have camera footage of this whole exchange), so I pressed the doorbell there and then and hey presto, it worked. At this point the delivery agent became very defensive and explained how he isn't just some delivery guy, he's the owners son !!! His aggressive attitude kept on getting worse until I had to tell him to get lost. At which point he said he'd be back in 5 minutes !!!! Not sure if this was a threat, or he wanted to bring me free stuff as an apology 🤔. Needless to say I have contacted Just Eat, and West Yorkshire Police. By the way. Its been an hour or two now and he's not come back. I have video feeds from 2 separate sources, no sound, but lip readers will understand, also the body language speaks volumes, so don't you dare try and write some witty reply blaming the customer.................. again ! Shame though because the food was actually spot on.

Had a takeaway from here a few times. Food always below par. Cant comment upon the service or atmosphere in the restaurant as not been in and don't intend too...

Food was beautiful, but from start to finish it took 30 minutes, they rushed us, they brought the bill straight after the main course, didn't ask whether we wanted dessert or drinks, they just couldn't g et us out quick enough, which spoilt out meal.

my husband (who's been working 14hours) ordered a chicken biriyani off of just eat and in that he received 3 small cubes of chicken of which he pulled out 3 hairs the rice was full of water too, we also ordered 3 poppadoms for us all to share and they didn't turn up we order from here quite frequently and sadly i don't think we will order again quite disappointed the delivery also just got left on the doorstep in the cold... 3 doesn't seem to be our lucky number unfortunately!

Came here with my old man and i have absolutely no complaints. The food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff went above and beyond to make a custom non spicy curry for the child with us. fantastic customer service in my opinion

Not great, average food. Customer service poor. Not welcomed in despite booking, didn’t even get a hello. You a take your own alcohol which is good but despise having 2 wine bottles on table we had to wait and ask got glasses, then another wait for bottle opener. No real customer focus or appreciation. Not somewhere I’d recommend or return there are too many other good restaurants to choose from. Sorry!

Nice well priced little curry house, bring your own beer and decent food too.

My friend and myself tripped on the step on way out ..my heel got caught on a ridge sticking up on the step my friend tried to catch me and we both fell I injured my head and my friend broke a rib ..not one member of staff came to see if we were OK.We were not drunk either ..very disappointed as we spent a lot of money ..bet we are not the only ones to have fell needs sorting out .Note the ridge on the step is inside the restaurant.

Searching for places to eat in the local area and this place popped up. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely delicious. I tried the paneer pakora and my husband had the masala fish (his only complaint was the portion could be bigger) we tried the lamb and okra balti which was spot on. Looks like we have found our new favourite local and would definitely recommend to others.

Brilliant, we've been trying to find a nice Indian takeaway for 3 or 4 months trying quite a few different places around Pudsey, Stanningley and Farsley without success but tonight we ordered from Shezzans and the food was amazing, not had a curry this good for a long time, cost was reasonable, service was polite and friendly, highly recommended.

What a disgrace What a disgrace Waiter smoking . E cig behind the bar and then he carry on with me ,about he can do wat he wanted . Told my party to get out IF I didnt like it ¹. No where would Allow there staff to do this but he told me if I didn't like it to get out . . I WAS THERE LAST CHRISTMAS DAY AND had A GREAT TIME FOOD WAS FANTASTIC BUT I WILL NOT BE REBOOKING AGAIN .

what can you say about the best Indian restaurant in pudsey maybe Yorkshire the food is superb we had a party of 4 4 different starters all tasty and so enjoyable without being over powerful the main courses were fantastic again 4 different types all full of wonder not over powering in taste or size. please try ( please notice I have not noted any particular starter or main course by name because I want you to choose anything you will not be disappointed)

Order was a takeout, with starter and main for 2 , only negative is that only 1 tub of salad which included lettuce, 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cucumber as well as only 1 small tub of yogurt sauce to accompany our starters between 2 people. Surely each starter should also have it's own tub of salad and sauce????

My local Curry house with very friendly efficient staff. Excellent range of vegetarian options. Good value excellent Curries. You can bring your own alcoholic drinks and there is no corkage charge. The only draw back is accessibility, there are two tall steps to the front door and a bit of chicane to get round. It needs a strong pull to get my wife's wheelchair up and in. Also note payment is by cash only.

Ordered a takeaway from here after downloading menu. Rang the order in and the bill was roughly £7 more than i'd added up from menu. I asked if price was right and if that included 10% discount for collection and was told yes. I assumed menu prices had changed but after seeing them on just eat the prices are the same as the menu i downloaded. Won't order from here again as don't like being conned. Food tasted good but rice was missing and had been given 2 chapatis instead. Not a good way to run a business especially given the uncertain times we are now in!!

We placed an order for delivery last night. The food arrived and was reasonable. There were some items we requested missing from our delivery ( 1x Chicken Puri starter and 1x Chicken Pakora starter we checked they hadn't put 2 orders in one container as they had doubled up the onion bhajis and written x 2 on the packaging) The price quoted over the phone for cash payment on order was £73.20 when the delivery driver arrived they advised that it was an extra 60p for us to pay as they had got it wrong. We paid it. The price on the website menu compared to what we paid was incorrect. We paid roughly £6 more in total for our order on top of the prices shown on the online menu.

Nice local takeaway, haven't eaten in yet

Last night we ordered food for collection. After checking the website for the menu we noticed it mentioned a recent update regarding the restaurant to be open now and they are following government guidelines. So we took the information from the website to be accurate and up to date. The man who took the order over the phone and was efficient and polite. However when my partner went to collect the food, the bill was more than we had totted up from the menu on the website, plus the website claims to offer 10% discount for collection. When my partner questioned the bill, the man he spoke to, immediately said the prices have gone up and they weren't offering the takeaway discount, despite the website stating this. The staff were quite rude to my partner and made him feel awkward. That said, the curry was so tasty and delicious. Had we not have had the experience upon collection we would have been excellent regular customers as we live local to the area. We felt ripped off and had only deviated from our regular Indian takeaway because of recommendation. We won't be ordering again or visiting Shezzans.

Order two chicken bhunas with chips and the food arrived on time, but was cold.. Phoned and got put the through to a manager and explained my situation.. His words "sorry about that sir.. Next time you order I will send it for free" when I questioned him about my food been cold his response was "cant you warm it up sir".....

Just had a delivery from here - love the food normally when eating in the restaurant but tonight’s takeaway was exceptional - fantastic food and brilliant service/delivery even in lockdown- thank you shezzan Pudsey
