Ordered shredded crispy beef with chilli (1 out of 10), Salt n pepper chicken, (5 out of 10) egg fried rice, (2 out of 10) Salt n pepper chips. (7 out of 10) The beef dish was full of pineapple and tasted of soap, the egg fried rice had no egg and the rest was average at best.

The Purple Garlic is easily found in the centre of Silsden, on the main road, with cheap parking across the road. It was busy on a Tuesday night which is always a good sign. Service was good, friendly and not intrusive. The food was delicious. We had spicy poppadums to start, which went great with the pickle tray. I had the royal mixed kebab which was delicious, as was my lamb dhanyamirchi. It’s described as hot but personally we found all the dishes were medium. The garlic naan was nice, although I couldn’t taste the garlic. Three of us, no drinks as it’s unlicensed, poppadums, starter, main course and sides, came to £70. I’ve knocked off a star because the poppadums were slightly burnt and the naan had no garlic, but overall it’s definitely worth a try, we’ll be back.

Been here last year, really enjoyed it. This year, totally different experience. First night had people in the next room talking till 3 00 in the morning. Eventually had to bang on the wall and shout for them to be quite. The pub also ask for card details when you arrive, and fill a form in which they then leave on top for anybody to see. My bank informed me that someone had tried to take 243 pounds out of my account the next day, luckily for me they stopped the transaction. Second night, worse had foreign family next door shouting at each other and swearing till early hours. Banging on the wall didn't make a change. The fight was also on and expect noise but the pub was so noisy at 12 30 at night I was considering calling it a day and driving home, because there's no manager staying in the pub when it shuts there's no one to complain to till you get up in the morning, then it's to late because you haven't slept a wink. Sorry to say won't be staying here again.

We stayed at the hotel for the night so we thought it was easier to eat in the restaurant before we went out as we had an event on at Dalby Forest. When we checked into the hotel we were asked to let them know if we would be having dinner in the restaurant, we said we would be but wasn't sure what time, that was all fine but they said it might be busy. We went down to the restaurant around 6pm and it was dead. There were quite a few in the sports bar but the restaurant itself was empty. There were 2 waiting staff on who both spent most of the time looking at their phones. The menu online was entirely different to what was given to us in the restaurant. The online menu made the food sound a la carte but it was pretty basic, usual pub grub menu- steak, burgers etc. I ordered a medium rare steak and my partner had a burger. My steak was OK and it was probably medium rare but it was quite tough and bland and nothing to be excited about. I cannot remember the exact amount of the total bill but we did think at the time that it was a bit over priced for what it was. Wouldn't recommend unless that's your only option to eat out. Not impressed.
