Best chinese place in the whole area I Highley recommend this place

Wow what a find (when in UK we usually do Rice Bowl but closed on Monday), this is superb take out food. Dick pancakes were excellent.Lemon Duck was fantastic as was the pork fried rice, ok chicken super tasty and the salt and pepper chips had a great spice . Really impressed.

Really nice food and such a lovely lady who served me. Will definitely be back.

Very happy with the food (and the price, although that's less important than the quality). I will happily go here again. Their menu is on their "New" Facebook page.

We always enjoy our meals from George's Place which are delicious and the delivery team is always prompt and super friendly.

Fantastic local takeaway. They are always so busy! That's a sign of how good the food is!! I would just say, be patient! They are honest about the waiting times when ordering but like any popular takeaway they don't have a crystal ball and can't predict how busy it will be. Tonight is the World Cup match of England v France and I've popped in without a pre-order, the phone is ringing off the hook and the staff are working 100% to get food ready and serve the people still coming in, but they still have accommodated my order. I lived in China and the takeaway food here is pretty good. So, it is worth the wait! 😊👍🏻I recommend the Singapore Vermicelli Noodles and the Salt & Pepper Tofu 🌶

Consistently good food here never had a bad meal. Super salt and pepper box is well super. The black bean sauce is little hot for my taste. I think like with most takeaways if you get off your backside and collect the food it is always hot. Don’t sit waiting for a delivery guy and then moan when it’s cold..

We order from here often and the lady who runs this place is really kind and attentive. We have both vegan and non vegan household members and we all really enjoy the food they have to offer. The food always tastes really fresh and flavourful- we love it! As a vegan, I really recommend the salt and pepper tofu!

Absolutely amazing! Fresh, restaurant quality food. Lady who took our order was lovely. Wet chicken chow mein was wonderful as was all the food (satay chicken and pineapple, crispy beef in ok sauce and chicken balls). Wow - will definitely be ordering again. Thank you so much!

Local person , thought would give them a try as not tried before , to say they were local must have driven around, as was stone cold , hard , and expensive , give them a miss !

Good for price when you go to different chinese takeaways sometimes chip n boiled rice come with the main like beef chow mein and sweet n sour chicken balls, where as sum like George's you pay seperate but roughly quite similar pricing

It's a tradition... Whenever we come up to visit we always have a Chinese takeaway from George's Place. It was my wife's granddad's favourite and is still a favourite for all of us. The food is authentic and delicious and they never disappoint. Always very happy and very full after a meal from George's Place.

These guys produce great takeaway food at a great price. The really important thing is they retain their customers by giving awesome service. No complaints, great all round!

Satisfactory food from a wide selection and fast service. Be sure you have checked what they have noted as your order if phoning as they have made mistakes a couple of times. The quality of the food has noticeably reduced over a long period.

Had to wait 2hours for food,every time we rand we were told it’d be here in 15 minutes. We’re told an hour initially. If too busy just say,diabetic in family too so that caused issues too. Just a good job food was actually ok. But won’t use again as too late to eat after 10pm 😡

The worst Chinese I've ever been to. I had the worst stomach pains after eating here. Honestly awful, rice bowl is so much better than this.

The best cantonese/thai restraunt for miles around.

If visiting Silsden or maybe boating on the nearby canal, strongly recommend Georges. Phone or visit and order then maybe call and have a drink at a nearby public house. Always good value.

What a shame another good chinese takeaway goes bad. When george had it the food was great. The one we got very very greasy. I know they have a low score hygiene rating but that is not based on food quality. However after our last visit it could be.

Great food, fantastic menu and also delivery. Would recomend fried rice dishes and their curry dishes although curry dishes are quite hot and spicy.

I have always favoured Indian cuisine over Chinese, however, George's Place has gone a long way to convert me to the merits of Cantonese food. The service is friendly and efficient and the portions are generous, so it is always good value for money. Although I tend to order from a small selection of the same meals, they are invariably well cooked and taste superb. Several members of my family have a wider 'repertoire' and they are also very complimentary regarding the taste. I have no hesitation in recommending George's Place to those who have not tried it before.

This is a Chinese takeaway about 4 miles from where I live. The food is good and delivery is from £1 on orders over £8 (I pay £2 delivery as I live 4 miles away). When I order, I am very specific about the earliest time for deliver as they tend to deliver earlier than they estimate (which is good) but if I'm still on my way home I won't be around when they turn up with my order. They are very friendly and I would recommend them.

The food quality has really gone downhill! They also messed up the order and 'the boss' spoke extremely rude to myself for something that was their fault. I will no longer be using this Chinese Takeaway in future! Extremely disappointed.
