The food is just first class! I’ve only had takeout s as i live nearby. But Ali and everyone in there makes you feel so welcome. I would recommend going here to anyone honestly the best place I’ve ever been!!!

Absolutely fantastic food again. Purple Garlic never fails us. We were a party of 9 and food was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and atmosphere relaxed. Thankyou again to all staff that looked after us.

Didn't serve me tap water, food was ok though

Well the food here was good . Starters took an age to arrive but when they did arrive were very tasty . Same for the mains . Be careful when buying water , we asked for 3 £7:50 , really ! The service was very poor and unwelcoming . The tables were sticky to touch and when we asked for one to be cleaned because it was ground in grease etc they took offence . Will not be returning

Sunday Non of the mixed kebab was fresh. The butter chicken was tikka in korma sauce. I’m not sure how they think this would not be noticed! Everything else was pretty good to be fair. The Tarka dhal was very good.

Always been a decent curry here. Last night ordered for my partners birthday - asked for chicken tikka, drove from Bingley and back only to see they'd given her lamb tikka (which she doesn't eat). Too far to make the round trip again. Also we ordered two different curries but they tasted identical like they'd just made a double portion of the same thing. Quite bland. Always had a good experience eating in but last night was just really poor.

We did an impromptu eat inasmuch opposed to take away from purple Garlic. It was welcoming, and food was outstanding.

Weekday was quiet but the food was absolutely awesome. Been a few times and never been disappointed.

Best food i’ve had in the whole of Keighley the food was on point. The service was excellent, the waiters are polite and make the experience feel surreal. The restaurant overall was clean and well presented.

Had a take away a few times and Always loved the food. First time sitting in and was not dissapointed. The food was superb 👌 fresh poppadoms, beautifully spiced curry, great prices. The fact you could bring your own drinks was a massive bonus. Cant wait to return.

The food here was great, but you have to be careful to order rice separately with the dishes, as it is not included. You will also have to bring your own alcohol if you want to drink it, because they do not pay for it here. You do not have to pay corkage on this.

My favourite curry in Silsden. Hands down.

Amazing food. Best curry I’ve ever had. I stayed in the area last year on holiday and got a take away and was amazing so staying in the same place I had to have another one and it was just as good. Really tasty and just hot enough and lamb so was tender. Honestly can’t fault it at all.

We dined at Purple Garlic as my partner has worked in Silsden for over a year and it was recommended to us by a colleague. It was quiet when we arrived but it was early so we chose a nice table in the window. We shared the fish and chicken pakoras to start. Both were really nice. For main I had the chicken garlic chilli chicken and my partner some ridiculously hot thing 🥵😂 both mains were really delicious and I must say really plentiful portions. In hindsight we could have shared a starter and we certainly didn’t need two portions of rice or the chapatis. The bill with poppadoms and a pickle tray came to £48. It’s not the cheapest as that doesn’t include any drinks as it’s not licensed so you take your own. The service was ok and the atmosphere was nice as more people arrived. We’d definitely go again.

This was an extremely poor dining experience. The onion bharji was dry and crunchy and seemed like it had been made for a while. The lamb in the Royal Mixed kebab was so stringy it could have doubled up as shoe laces. The main courses for both of us was not over hot, mediocre in flavor and disappointing. The fact we were charged £2.50 for a bottle of water was outrageous. Needless to say I won’t be returning.

Exceptional food and service. Starters were with us just as we were finishing our pickle tray. But we did have a rather long wait until the main. I don't think this is a bad thing as at least u don't feel rushed into leaving early. Alcohol free drinks are available but u can take your own lager/wine if u like. All in all wonderful experience. Highly recommended

Lovely curry and shared starter. Food was not greasy, very tasty and as described on menu. The best curry in Silsden.

We booked at 7pm - party of 10. Took us 2 and a half hours to get our main course as it seems takeaways have priority.

The best curry with the best service. We are regulars here at Purple Garlic and we've never had a bad meal. Great food and highly recommend!

Called to eat in, no tables available but restaurant was half empty so ordered take away. Was told 30 mins waiting, when called back had to wait a further 15 mins. 2 minute walk home, salad was the warmest thing on the starter. Korma sauce was watery, I’ve seen thicker milk and Jaipuri chicken tikka was so oily I’ve used the sauce to service my car with.

Went with two friends for an evening meal. We were greeted warmly and sat quickly - we had pre-booked and our table was ready. There is a good range on the menu with some chef’s home made specials. I had Fish Pakora to start which was OK, and the Chicken Karahi for main course. This was lovely, beautifully spiced without fierce heat, big chunks of well cooked chicken, all combined with shared rice, nan and chapati. The others were equally complimentary about their choices. The service throughout our meal was excellent. Well worth a visit if you’re in th area.

Excellent food quality reasonably priced

Ordered 2 starters and 2 mains for delivery. Ordered at 5pm just after they opened and after 2 phone calls the food eventually arrived at 7pm !! We live 2.2 miles from the restaurant. The starters of fish pakora was soggy and inedible. The main king prawn dish was way over cooked and rubbery the other main dish was average. All for the cost of £40 !!! Maybe it was a one off bad day but they should have told us we would have to wait instead of providing such bad service. We certainly won’t use them again and we will let everyone we know what we experienced.

Food excellent as usual. Service great. No licence is a bit of a pain, just because I really like their own beers, but not a problem taking own.

Staff was not welcoming or friendly at all, food was average. Wouldn't go again.

Well I have to say, it was a very delicious curry, it actually taste really nice and the lamb was also delicious and was done really well. However my criticism is the garlic and the garlic bread, it was just pieces of dry garlic sprinkled on my Naan which is just fell off, this could of done with some butter and then cooked garlic and maybe the garlic in the curry chopped a little finer. Other than that the restaurant was lovely and clean, the service was great and the food taste good and came out hot. Will definitely be back.

Partner and myself decided to give Purple garlic a try - our first time, ahead of booking a table for a Birthday bash in September. No license but that usually means getting better value as much of the price of a meal depends on the Beer or whatever is served. Bottled water at £2 as no tap allowd to be served seemed strange - but the water was then given Gratis. Mixed starter for 2 was excellent (lots of fresh Onion ) which I love then on to 2 mains Chicken Korma and a Prawn madras. Korma was fine, plenty of meat ( partner likes a lot of sauce and this can vary from place to place) . Prawn Madras was excellent - always my test of a place - AAAA+ loads of prawns - really plenty for 2 especially if you had Rice. 2 Naans and 2 chapattis ordered with the meal - Naans - lovely fresh ( 1 pheswari - lovely ) Would I go again - in a flash - delicous - but also make sure I am really hungry for the portion size. So looking forward to a Birthday bash in September. PS Coop is over the road for any alcoholic beverages.

Table was booked for a large party, everything was ready no waiting at all. Poppadoms and pickle trays were brought out very quickly. Had mixed starter for two which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Cant remember which curry I had but it was excellent with beautiful chapattis and good pilaf rice. The curry said medium/hot but was only medium, but this didnt spoil my meal. Would have given 5 stars but my Mother-in-law got a mushroom omelette and chips as she doesn't enjoy spicy foods. Unfortunately the only warm thing on the plate was the salad!! Maybe if selling English meals as well take as much care as they do over their fantastic Asian menu. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely gorgeous. Nevertheless thought anywhere would be as good as Azeems, but I think I've found it. Definitely going back soon.

We order from here often and the curries never disappoint- it is by far the nicest indian food in Silsden!

Wow wow wow the best curry in miles around had an amazing meal with my family my Brother Greg said it was good and he loves his food it has to be good to get him through the door I was not disappointed the food was hot all served at the same time staff were polite friendly the price of the food is very reasonable for the quality they serve I will be back on my next visit to the UK.

We have tried takeaway and liked it so chose to sit in. Food was excellent and the staff very friendly. If you like an alcoholic drink with your curry you have to bring your own.

Great meal great company and good service

We got a takeaway and we are absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. The fish and prawns in the Habibi Khana were perfectly cooked and full of flavour in a beautifully spiced sauce. Service and delivery time were excellent. We will definitely be ordering again - can’t wait to eat in. Thanks Purple Garlic team 😊

I've had eat-in and take-out meals from Purple Garlic on a number of occasions now. The food has always been great and the staff friendly. My most recent experience was particularly positive, and they were very helpful in identifying menu items which are (or can be made) suitable for vegans. Their vegetable garlic chilli is probably the best curry I've ever had, and I've had lots!

Being new to the village and tried most of the curry houses gave purple garlic and try and was not disappointed by far the best curry house in the village could not be happier with the service and more importantly the food highly recommended

We visited here after it was recommended by the man at Silsden boats when we hired from them. We’re so glad he did as the curry , service and restaurant itself was fantastic. From pickle tray right through to the Naan breads we all enjoyed the food and friendly staff.

Nice Indian food (better than average), and cheerful service with a smile.

Freshly made, good amount of garlic which I like and enough quantity. Only slight downside was that it was described as spicy hot compared to rest of the menu, but not what I found., and I am not a chilli fiend.

I am a very picky eater when it comes to take away food. The curries we have just had from Purple Garlic have honestly been exceptional. Fathers day treat for my dad who is a massive lover of curry, he was blown away. Perfect, delicious, well impressed. Thank you Purple Garlic 👍

Myself and a friend visited Purple Garlic to catch up and relex.The establishment looked clean and tidy with just a few area's in need of a bit of TLC e.g. cupboard doors with just screws protruding, cockeyed lamps and so forth...We ordered Poppadoms and pickle tray wich were very fresh and perfect to be fair. When we ordered our drinks my friend received a warm unchilled J20 with no offer of ice when ordered. The waiter brought our mains over even before we had finished our poppadoms and started moving our plates around even when I stated "you're too early" he just carried on.The main courses were very nice indeed, can't fault them at all. My chapattis came wrapped in tin foil rather than in a traditional cloth which is something i would expect from a takeaway, and not a sit down meal!All in all... The food was very good/enjoyable but the service is seriously lacking in attention to detail.

We came here as a group and it was lovely the food was good and the staff were very helpful. Everyone really enjoyed it I have celiac disease and they tried to ensure I got gluten free food but unfortunately it still got me.

This was exactly what the doctor ordered after a day on a canal boat! The curry was delicious and the onion bahjis the best I can remember. The service was good and friendly. A bit of a hidden gem.

We went to the purple garlic last night as a party of 4 we arrived on time and were politely asked to wait while they prepared table which they did and seated us within 5 to 10 minutes we sat down and were very cold dint think heating was on after 15 minutes we asked if we could order drinks as noone was forthcoming another 10 minutes and they arrived after the table next to us got theirs and they arrived 10 minutes after us , an hour after we arrived still no sign of food when we asked they apologised and ran upstairs with order 10 minutes later starters arrived my garlic prawns were like warm and bland and the onion bhajis were also very tasteless the other 2 starters were ok , nearly 2 hours after we arrived and no main course we again asked dif there was any chance of food and again they rushed upstairs to place the order which eventually arrived my curry was nice but the other 3 were again very bland and not much taste we finished our drinks and asked for the bill which arrived within seconds best service all night we did ask if they were short staffed and they just said no very busy but it seemed to us that lots of take awats were being collected and the restaurant was not being attended and we could hear other tables complaining about the time to serve too slow. Very poor and from start to finish it took 3 hours to have a starter and a main course they really need to get their act together.

Whilst staying locally for the first time in the area I searched the local eateries and found many to be closed on a Tuesday night, I was pleased to find this pleasant curry house who served an enjoyable Chicken Jalfrezi, rice and nan with good prompt service at a reasonable price, would be happy to go again.

Nice friendly welcome and cosy atmosphere. Only ordered main course on this visit and was really spoilt for choice but finally settled on the balti bhuna which was really tasty served with the lemon rice. Very nice sized portion and struggled to eat everything. Reasonable prices and overall a really nice meal

It's hard to say a great deal about Purple Garlic. It's a perfectly adequate curry restaurant, like many others in the country. From our one visit here, we didn't notice anything special that set it apart, but there was nothing wrong with it either. If you go, you will get a good curry at a reasonable price.

Ive had several currys from keighley and silsden and by far this is the best place. Very welcoming place and the food has never not been great. Would definitely recommend you try!

We called in without a reservation. There were plenty of tables when we got there but about 20 minutes later it was quite busy - clearly a popular local restaurant. The curries were tasty. One portion of rice is plenty big enough for two (maybe even three) people. Very good value for money - starters, curries, rice, naans, poppadoms, pickles and a couple of drinks just over £40.

Not the warmest welcome everything was okay. The food was average the chicken tasted as if it is added to each dish (no idea if it is or not to be fair). Possible would have eaten here again on our trip but didn't feel compelled to. Price is good value but reflects the overall experience.
