Red Chilli in Bradford

The food was excellent and the best chicken tika bhuna I've had in ages. Service was good but no surprise as the restaurant wasn't busy which is a shame because it deserves to be.

We ate here last night as a very large party around 36 of us. The food was absolutely delicious. The meat was so tender. I had masala fish for starter followed by lamb masala and chapattis. My daugters had king prawns to start and my husband had sheesh kebab .All ingredients were so fresh. Best curry I've had for a long time. Service was great and price was even better 2 courses for £11.95 Absolutely brilliant little place. Staff were lovely. We will be returning.

Very disappointing, stubborn and short-sighted customer service. I ordered a takeaway by phone on Sunday night. There is a 2 for 1 offer. I ordered 4 curries, 2 with rice, 2 with naans. As the offer was 'buy one, get the cheaper one free, I assumed I wouldn't need to make two phone calls and that sense would prevail on which curries would be taken off the bill. This was not the case, when I arrived to pick up my order, at which point I asked which had been removed. I explained that (for the sake of this review, let's call the most expensive dish, A, the next most expensive B and so on to D) the cheapest (D) and third cheapest (B) should be removed and not the two cheapest (D and C). My reasoning being, that I could have made two phone calls, the first to order dishes A and B, where he would have taken off B and a second call to order C and D, where he would have taken off D. Because I ordered all 4 together, he chose which two to take off, C and D. The difference between these was almost £5, so a significant amount. I asked that the difference be taken off the bill, he refused. I asked that the order be cancelled and re-made, he refused. I told him that it was my first time to the restaurant and that for the sake of £5, this curry restaurant would leave a sour taste and that I would choose to go elsewhere in future. He didn't care and stubbornly refused to change the bill. Needless to say, I won't be returning, which is a shame considering our household does enjoy a curry and have one all last every couple of weeks. As this was a £40 order, that would total potentially £1,040/year, lost for the sake of a £5 difference. In contrast, when I went to Moghul a couple of weeks earlier, the father of the business hand delivered my order personally and welcomed me to the area, noticing that I was a new customer. We went back there again and the service was second to none. I came away from there feeling that it's businesses like that which make towns like Burley in Wharfedale the welcoming communities they are.

Excellent food and wonderful kind and friendly service. The daal especially was excellent!

Just picked up a takeaway from red chili on the Sunday buy one get one free, food is very tasty with good portion size. The deal is so cheap it is almost a giveaway I highly recommend you try it out.

My partner and I had been out for the day and called in just on the off chance,the staff were very helpful in choosing the right meal for me (I Have alergies)The place is lovely and clean the staff are very attentive and will go out of their way to make sure your evening is enjoyable. I must say it was the best curry in a long time,meat so tender and full of flavour and their Nann breads are to die for so fluffy.Really was an enjoyable evening and will be back for more that is a definate.

WOW what a gem 5 out of 5 for the food and the waiters were friendly and professional too. Been driving round on Bank holiday Monday and saw a sign for a special £11/12 a starter, main (not specials like monkfish/venison) and either rice or nann bread etc. I ordered a mixed starter which had 2small onion bahji’s 2 good chucks of tender chicken tikka and a sheekh kebab with a dressing of salad and the delicious pouring sauce 🤯🗯 blew my mind 😋 Delicious. Dad had Taco starter which was two poppadoms with tikka chicken and paneer melted cheese and chilli’s ? (see menu). Again fab I had tandoori butter with Lamb, pilau rice and keema Nann Dad: mixed chicken/lamb bhuna and peshwari nann Two small Cobra beers Every day she was phenomenal, we really were blow away and I couldn’t fault a single thing. One of the best curries I’ve ever had and I can be very critical This restaurant deserves a shout out seriously What we couldn’t understand was why so quiet ?? Well it’s in a sleepy village and off a main road. There is a big restaurant heading out towards Ilkley that’s closing down after many years and I really hope people will go find the gem and drum up more business for them as it’s soo good. Food and service excellent as usual. By far the best Indian restaurant in the area.

Food was bearly warm and the Naan bread was cold. This has happened before! We ordered hot (as in spicy). It beyond mild. No spice to it at all. Will not be ordering again from them.

I’m sorry to say this but the service was half hearted & the food was the same - the meat in my curry was pre cooked & over done…. No real passion associated with this restaurant/ it’s like they are going through the motions. Friday night 7.30 no one in. You don’t feel that important & staff miss social cues in conversation - zero atmosphere - Just felt like we were disturbing them by visiting! Just not much to say that’s truly great about this place right now & that’s twice I’ve been recently. I will avoid & take my cash elsewhere now - I’m 48 & have lived in the village 18 years & love Indian food….

I think I can make a better curry myself using a curry mix from Lloyd Grossman or Spice Tailor. Very average, flavours not great. I think other reviewers don't know what flavour is. Atmosphere in the restaurant rather cold. Over the years I think quality has gone down in Indian restaurants and this one no exception.

Lovely curry and banquet nights a bargain

Quite & small little place in the heart of Burley in whardedale nice place to grab a ruby or so we though. Service was great though food wasn't so great, although starter were very nice. Service was good I ate pickle tray & popdoms, lamb chops & chicken, mushroom balti for main wasn't much to write home about (tasted very condensed also it had tinned mushrooms & not fresh🙈😩) let it down massively for me. My partner had mix kebab for starter & can't remember for the life of me what he had for main (think I was some form of lamb & rice but he though it was a little dry anyway 🙁👎 although fairly cheap and affordable we won't be try again in a rush

Great food but, £12.95 for a pint and a half of Cobra and a large cola. Oh and if you want to take home a “doggy bag” (leftovers for the next day) that will be a £1 charge!

the food in this restaurant is out of this world, cooked to perfection and is always piping hot...I have never had a bad meal in this place ...the staff are so tentative and really look after you ..nothing is too much trouble for them.

Well if you like punchy with a good kick then head on down to the Red Chilli in Burley. Great quality food with bags of flavour and a good kick, we loved it.

My favourite Indian restaurant! Staff are very attentive and the food is great. It has a wide choice of things that you wouldn’t usually see on an Indian menu - for example venison and game based curries. All of which are excellent.

The food is absolutely delicious, but I'd advise that you don't order via the website that comes up for the Google result. I placed an order online and the payment went through but they said they didn't receive it and wouldn't give me my money back or the food i ordered. I had to order over the phone, pay again (a higher price than online) and get my bank to claim the money back from them. Edit: I did order via the red-chilli.com website and the payment went directly to Red chilli rather than via a third party.

Called in for meal Friday night unusual menu to choose from i decided on desi nachos wife went for seabass tk both excellent starters good atmosphere staff friendly mains i had special karai wife had aloo mass which was monkfish food super tasty will definitely call again and it's fully licensed no carrying your own drinks around great night out staff very helpful

went again for another visit this place is such a "must" the place is so clean the staff are friendly and the food it brilliant I had Lamb chop started really tasty and chicken and Mushroom Balti with a Peshwari Naan and Hubby had Monk Fish starter and La Jawab Pheasant with garlic Naan. The wine is such good value for money too so glad they have a licence now. Will be back again after Christmas as always a nice change from Turkey.

We had a great evening out at red chilli! The food was really delicious. One of our party had a pheasant curry which made for a really interesting change to usual curry house food, but they also nail the classics - we had a wonderful tikka masala. We are very lucky to have this on our doorstep but even if we didn’t we would travel for it.

We decided to have a take away at the last minute while visiting the area. It was great. The portions were a good size & very tasty. The king prawn biryani was super, perfectly cooked prawns. The lamb saag was delicious too. Would definitely eat...

I went to see my mate in Burley in Wharfedale so he decided to go to Red Chilli in the village which is one of his favourite places for an Indian takeaway. The food was amazing and well done to the staff and keep up...

Had popadoms and pickle tray, all fresh. Onion bhahi and duck to start, duck was tender. Nice mains, good flavours, good portion size and well made. Garlic naan was light and moist. Service was good, only abit slow but there were 3 big groups in....

3 of us from Shipley went before an event at Queen's Hall. We had no great expectations, but enjoyed the meal. Everything gave the impression of being freshly prepared and well flavoured. Main dishes were decent portions and accompanying naans and chapattis were good. Also...

Ate here before a concert, so it's useful it opens early. Very welcoming staff and smart unfussy decor - makes for a pleasant ambiance. Very good range of dishes for vegetarians and the coriander naan is to be recommended.

The staff look after you from entering the door. Friendly staff. They make sure you have everyting you need.Good menu, choice fo things not often on other menus else where. Monk fish, pheasant. Made a nice change. The food is excellent. Bring your own alcohol is allowed or you can buy in the restaurant. One thing I missed, no Lassi to finish. But that's just my thoughts.There is enough space for tables to be moved about to accommodate large groups or just intimate tables for two.Nice decor, I do think a nice environment adds to the experience and this did not dissapoint.Good flat access for anyone with limited walking ability.Parking nearby at the rear of Queens Hall community hall car park.

This restaurant never fails to satisfy. It provides a superb menu, with a food dish for everyone, from those that like it hot to those who prefer it somewhat milder. The ingredients are very good quality, and plenty of them. Reasonably priced, though not as cheap as you might get in the town centre. Staff are always helpful and friendly, so get along there and get some decent Asian food.

Having just finished the best meal we've had in a long while, I thought it only right to review.

We had wanted to try this place for a while and it didn’t fail to impress! Being a Wednesday they have a banquet special for £11.95. I had a mixed kebab and my friend a tikka starter both were well presented and delicious. My main course was a Chicken Tikka Balti served in a metal pale which was superb, mains are served with rice or a naan. Service was fairly quick and efficient and from the decor through to the eating the experience was very very good 9/10!

Visited tonight with my daughter. Popodoms and pickles 100% Onion bhaji 100% Fish worri and lemon rice 100% Perfection all for £16.50. Best curry in the area by miles Staff 100% Thank you.

Having had several good takeaways from here we decided to eat in with friends. We all had different curries, mainly baltis and the chicken worri. All were excellent, mine had a generous amount of vegetables as well as the chicken and was delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. Prices are pretty reasonable and obviously the BYO policy is handy. Our friends were impressed and have already asked when we can go back again.

Meal was over half an hour late, chips were cold, poppadoms were soft and our main dishes which were right at the bottom of the bag had all collapsed it was all over the bottom of the bag. 1st time ordered from here but won’t be going again

I called restaurant three times and they explained they were busy. When the food was delivered 40 mins late it was the wrong order so had to wait further for right order. Restaurant were polite and apologetic and offered to discount next time I ordered.
