Hamiltons in Bradford

Disappointing breakfast. All of our parties poached eggs were way overcooked (solid yolks inside) and they didn’t offer to rectify when I pointed this out to the waitress soon after the breakfasts arrived. Also the toast was soggy with water from the eggs. When I payed I pointed this out again and although the staff member apologised they didn’t offer a discount, they did say they would tell the kitchen. On the whole I got the impression that they didn’t really seem to care which was annoying. Such a shame as we have been regular visitors in the past but I don’t think we will return.

Met up with a group of friends, trying out different coffee shops/restaurants nearby. Stunning location. Excellent service, food and drink good. Definitely worth a visit, if you can find it tucked away down a little side street

we had a lovely breakfast on the deck overlooking the river, the quality of the breakfast was first rate, all the ingredients were beautifully cooked and the service was warm and friendly. It was lovely to have dry plate, no grease, no water from the poached egg, highly recommend, booking essential though!!

A Fiasco! Thé lunches on offer are, by enlarge, packed with carbohydrates: I could barely see my chicken amongst the chips and pitta! Service is not particularly good, with staff rushing around, tables not properly cleaned… Lovely location, but I think we will sit by the river with a picnic next time!

Really enjoyed the food. Limited menu and some things sell out quick however never been disappointed with a meal. Would definitely recommend.

Very scenic place by the river with outside seating on a veranda.Light and airy inside.Not a massive choice on the brunch menu but adequate.Yorkshire breakfast was 5 star with a very tasty sausage.Black pudding slightly overcooked.Vegetarian breakfast could be improved with avocado added.£11 for meal not cheap but where is these days.Overall would recommend.

Special breakfast treat, we love Hamiltons any time of day. Breakfast was delicious served up in their very beautifully decorated restaurant/bistro. Our food was wonderful as were the cakes we finished with. Service always great, friendly staff, super helpful.

The restaurant closes at 4pm on Thursdays so we arrived at 2.55pm for a late lunch/early dinner after a long walk. We were seated outside which was lovely and given the food menu. We were left waiting to be served around 10/15mins which isn’t terrible however we were then advised by the server after waiting that time that they stop serving food at 3pm and that all orders need to be placed ahead of this time. I appreciate you need to have a time to stop taking orders ahead of your closing time however we weren’t advised this when we arrived and no one bothered to come check on us or take our order until after 3pm. If 2.55pm is too late for a 3pm last orders then the last orders should actually be 2.55pm and we should have at least been informed. Disappointing service and it has put us off wanting to visit Hamiltons again. We instead visited The Fleece and would really recommend this - food served 12pm - 9pm :)

We have been here a few times usually for breakfast but most recently for lunch. Its a very pleasant place set off, of course, by being so close to the river. The breakfasts are very good, just the right amount of food, well cooked and well served and good value. However for my lunch visit I chose a salad and I cannot deny that while it was a very nice salad there was not a great deal of it I gazed rather longingly at my companions pulled pork sandwich and thought, no mate you got that choice wrong. It was poor quantity wise and thus over priced. I will still go to Hamiltons in future but I think I might stay with the breakfasts

We went for our first evening meal here, and took our dog Oscar. Could not have had a more pleasant visit. The new manager Di, was extremely welcoming and understanding of our needs with our dog, dietary requirements. Friendly, helpful staff, and superb food in beautiful surroundings. Thank you.

Fantastic vegetarian breakfast and relaxed atmosphere. Lovely selection of items in the breakfast - including well cooked halloumi, sauteed potatoes and spinach. Good coffee too. Staff welcoming, friendly and attentive.

What an amazing find. Hidden away by the river on the outskirts of the lovely village of Addingham is this beautifully designed eatery. We've visited for breakfast and lunch and never been disappointed. As well as first class food, we have always found the staff to be excellent too.

Menu reads well but turkey sandwich pretty disappointing! But worse thing was we were told 3 times we only had so long to vacate the table eve. To the point of asking us to pay immediately For this reason unlikely to return

Absolutely gorgeous lunch - friendly, helpful staff and fantastic tasting food we both opted for the fishcake with poached egg perfectly cooked and really tasty the best I’ve had.

Went out for my birthday with my husband and my 12 year old son and Hamilton's ticked every box for us: Location, decor, waiting staff, relaxed, friendly atmosphere, food, timing and pace of meal, music playing. We had a simple pizzas and pudding affair but it all tasted amazing and was beautifully presented and service was really friendly.I'm finding it harder to go out for food and not be disappointed with something but Hamilton's was faultless. We were out as a family but it would have been equally perfect for a cosy night out as a couple of in a larger group of friends. Just love it!

Went for brunch looking out over the river. Very chilled and the food was excellent, just had the full breakfast but is was all quality produce, cooked perfectly and served very efficiently by some really friendly staff members. Highly recommend

We stayed in one of the lodges and were given 2 free coffee tokens for Hamilton’s. We thought why not cash them in. Coffee was fantastic but the service superb. Thanks to Jack who made us feel really welcome so we thought why not give something back. We asked for a menu and Jack also said that they did a Sunday dinner, the gravy he said was awesome. As the weather was so bad he even offered to bring it to the cabin but we felt we wanted to eat at the Bistro. I had the chicken and husband had the beef. It was one of the best dinners we’ve had, and Jack certainly was right about the gravy! Big thumbs up to the chef , the waiting on staff ( in particular Jack). After a great family walk along the Dales Way we came back for a well deserved coffee. We were immediately welcomed and shown to a table for six of us out on the balcony with blankets to cuddle under if we felt cold. There was plenty of water for our dog and there were plenty of other dogs all enjoying a rest on the balcony too! The only slight mar to our visit was the waitress had forgotten my husband’s coffee and he had to sit there watching us all enjoy ours for at least 10 minutes until his coffee finally appeared (after we had reminded the staff they had forgotten it).

First visit for breakfast on Saturday. Excellent food and service. Looking forward to many more visits. Be perfect in summer.

Had to call and try the new menu with Sunday Lunch. Wow!!!! What a meal. The beef was absolutely brilliant, the veg superb and the Yorkshire pudding was a meal in itself. Very highly recommended

We visited here on a whim, on my wife's birthday. Beautifully presented in a perfect setting next to the River Wharfe, it boasts a relatively small menu (obeying Ramsay's First Law!) which is well suited to feeding walkers, cyclists or people staying in the various holiday accommodations on site. Good quality, realistically priced food & delightful staff.

After a good walk along the river Wharfe from Ilkley, Hamiltons was the ideal spot for 10 of us for our Christmas lunch. We had a good time. The friendly staff were very helpful in setting up a table so we could all sit together, and we an excellent lunch in the perfect setting by the river. Some special diet requirements were efficiently catered for, and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The menu is varied and the food is tasty, high quality and well presented.Definitely recommended.

A small bistro style restaurant which serves breakfasts and lunches. It has beautiful views over the river. I went with my wife, daughter and grandchildren one Friday lunchtime. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food we ordered was delicious and very soon our plates were empty. We will definitely be going again.

As we came towards the end of a muddy Sunday afternoon dog walk, we came across Hamiltons. What a wonderful surprise! Beautiful location, sitting outside, overlooking the river and Beamsley Beacon and delicious coffee and cake! Will look forward to another visit to try some of the hot food on offer!

Realy nice and a bit different food. Seating outside with a heater. Best mocha I've had in ages. No "dedicated " kids menu, but don't let that put you off as ours had a margarita pizza and jacket potato. Spud was a little too crispy, but it was mid afternoon. The risotto thingy two of us had was spot on. It all looked and tasted freshly made. The gondola/ cable car seating looked fun. We will be going back

Very belatedly I write this review following an excellent Sunday brunch in July. I was tempted not to write a review so less people became aware of this tucked away gem but good food, great service and lovely location means I have to fess up and give it the credit it deserves.

Was invited by my friend Adam Boldy-Wilkinson and had a great meal at Hamilton’s. Brought my baby who also enjoyed himself.a fun time. Food was delicious will definitely go again. eeverything was fine

My friend and i had coffee and shared a good size piece of raspberry and blackberry cake which was delicious. This place is such an asset to Addingham and i recommend them to all my friends.

My friend chose to meet here for our regular catch up as she has been with family previously and highly rated it. I have lived in the area all my life and didnt know it existed.

Have been a few times with friends and family. The food and coffee are lovely, quite pricey however we are willing to spend when the quality is good and the setting is so beautiful. Today’s visit however has put me off going again due to the shocking manner of one of the waitresses, which I see has been mentioned before in one of the other reviews. Her tone and surly attitude absolutely stink and in all honesty it put a dampener on my lunch date with my friend. Hopefully others who visit will be served by one of the much more pleasant staff members, who were very professional and polite!

The whole place exudes quality: beautifully built and decorated, terrific location and overall great food. Simple variety of open type sandwiches, nicely presented and tasty. The pizza was excellent. Good size portions. Should also mention the friendly staff, very attentive and pleasant.

Hamiltons is just the most beautiful setting looking over the River Wharfe. The cabin is newly built to a beautiful standard. The family are so so lovely making you welcome every single time, nothing is too much trouble. From coffee and cake to a dinner the standard of food is exceptional.

I was introduced to Hamilton's by my daughter who took me and my husband there for breakfast following a bracing dog walk along the river. Needless to say we've been back several times to enjoy the food and in particular the setting. We've now introduced it to other family members who have also made it their favourite. The food is very good, if a little on the expensive side. The service is also very good but when busy you do need patience. The setting is amazing and if you do manage to go during a quiet spell it can be very peaceful to just sit, have a coffee and a piece of amazing cake. I would definitely recommend this gem of a restaurant.

We have become regulars at Hamilton’s. It’s always busy, with a great atmosphere, the friendly and professional staff can’t do enough for you. Food is excellent. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing a trick! You can park on Bark Lane and walk approx 5 mins along the riverside, if their car park is full. Very enjoyable experience.

Lovely greeting, service was excellent, as was the food & view! We sat outside as we had 3 dogs but we were welcome to sit inside too. The view of the river was too nice to miss! The portion sizes were very generous, good quality & piping hot. The coffee is also very good. Photos attached of all, definitely one to return too on a sunnier day!

Despite living in the area we did not know of this venue until told by a friend. It is, to strangers to the area, a litle off the beaten track. But what a find. Riverside setting, outside seating to enjoy it, weather permitting of course. Good food and service. A wonderful experience.

Wow, fancy a breakfast in a log cabin asked my friend...I gave it a try. You couldn’t have asked for much more. Very attentive service, great food, dog and family friendly, despite being busy, it wasn’t too busy and the food came very quickly! Fantastic setting at the side of the Wharfe, clean, efficient, really excellent.

I was here for a birthday lunch with family. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the location simply perfect. I could not have asked for more.

Visited for morning coffee, it’s in a beautiful location by the river and it’s extremely well presented with plenty of helpful friendly staff. We had coffee scones and cake which were lovely, we had a look through the menu and decided we would definitely be returning for lunch sometime soon, hopefully the weather will be nice so we can sit outside. I would definitely recommend a visit here, it’s a real hidden gem!

Was only told about this place a week ago, nipped to buy a voucher and came back the next day to celebrate Father’s day with the family. Fabulous location, great friendly welcome and service, we all had the full English breakfast, couldn’t fault it, didn’t feel rushed, it was a lovely relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely return sometime for lunch.

Went on busy fathers day Sunday morning, greeted by attentive front out house staff who managed to seat us. Service and food excellent and all in superb setting. Nothing could be faulted. The owners have clearly thought of everything here. Throughly reccomend Hamilton's.

Visited here with a friend for coffee, tucked away in a. Corner of Addingham. Service was very good and helpful. Had a look at menu whilst there and there seemed to be a good choice of breakfast/lunch dishes.

After a riverside walk from Ilkley, we thoroughly enjoyed Hamilton's. Great food, great atmosphere, stunning location and wonderful service, despite being very busy, polite, professional and friendly. We'll definately be back, thank you.

Stunning location. Lovely place to take family and friends that are visiting. Fab food, our dogs are welcome inside, and out on the lovely decking. Friendly staff and ten out of ten to the young man front of house he is so friendly and helpful. Just one suggestion now need to do a Chardonnay by the glass

Great place, fabulous location.

My Husband and my brother and my sister (up from London) all went last Friday for lunch. Unfortunately the weather wast the best still the view and position were fab. There is excellent heating outside too. The staff were extremely friendly and atmosphere very relaxing. I had a pizza that even my Italian husband said was good! The salads were nice and there is a mixture of food. My sister enjoyed her Americana and we could even get a glass of wine! Not too missed. A 5 minute walk and I cant wait to sip a glass of wine on a sunny afternoon.

We called in while passing by as we walked The Dalesway. The greeting was very friendly and our order was taken efficiently. The homemade cakes and scones were delicious. We'll definitely call in the next time we're walking by

I'm local what a truly nice place to go to good food good service really friendly I've had the burger which is really good home made soup with the nicest bread I've had baked potato which was large and good texture with tuna mayo with three different salads scone with clotted cream and sponge toffee cake all first class well worth a visit. Fab venue, near the river, the food is well cooked and presented. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Another plus is dogs are allowed in. We will definitely return and we are looking forward to sitting outside and taking in the beautiful scenery.

Whilst visiting friends in Addingham we called at Hamiltons for lunch. A pleasant location by the river side, exceptional views of the countryside. A busy and well thought out restaurant, pleasant staff, reasonable priced food, great service. Congratulations Hamiltons. The site is well thought out for holiday lets, log cabins, cottages. If in the area a visit is recommended.

Visited Hamilton’s yesterday and sat outside in the sun. The entire set up, both the way the restaurant has been designed, the surrounding log cabins and the stunning views make Hamilton’s a must in the sun.

Hamiltons is a great asset to the village of Addingham whether you are a local or a visitor. The setting overlooking the River Wharfe is fabulous and on a sunny day it is wonderful to sit on the terrace. The inside decor is tasteful and comfortable. We regularly visit for coffee and cake. The scones are to die for! We have yet to have breakfast or lunch but the food coming out looks delicious. I must mention Jack who is so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He puts customer service as his number one priority.
