My family has been regular customers of The Bank House for years, but after tonight’s experience, we will not be returning. My parents had a reservation for steak night at 7:00 PM, but when they mentioned it to the staff, they were told there were no steaks available. After some back and forth, the staff member confirmed there was sirloin, but they would have to wait 10 minutes, which was fine. Then, they were told it would be an additional 5 minutes. However, an hour and 15 minutes later, still no food had arrived. The waitress’s attitude was incredibly rude, as she snapped, "I told you there was a wait." To top it off, when my parents decided to leave at 8:15 PM with no food in sight, a bar staff member rudely said, “Thankssss” as they walked out. It’s clear that the service and quality have taken a sharp decline, likely due to a change in staff. This was a disappointing end to many years of coming to this restaurant, and we will not be returning

Most unwelcome visit, clearly not a regular so unfriendly. First time under new ownership. Won’t be back or recommend. Shame as could be a focal point for the village

We recently had a great breakfast here so called back for there fantastic cakes and pork pies so decided to have another breakfast it was super busy but was served quick this time it was not so good the sausage was black and burnt the black pudding was the end pieces and still had the wrap around the tomato was not cooked generally very bad so we left most of it the waitress came to clear the table looked at the plates and asked if there was a problem we wasn’t going to say anything but my wife told her I wasn’t happy she came back and said give them a few minutes as they were very busy the manager refunded the breakfasts which we said there was no need and the waitress who was lovely explained it had never happened before we put it down to them being very busy I can’t honestly say how we were treated that day had in no way deterred me from eating here again as we buy there cakes and best ever pork pies regular the manager showed faith in his kitchen and staff and deserves customer loyalty from us will be back very soon for im sure a very nice breakfast.

I'm assuming that this tearoom is the one we visited yesterday renamed the Mansion House tearoom. Had been looking forward to a tasty lunch only to be terribly disappointed. The swede soup with honey could have been anything, completely tasteless It was perhaps only excelled by the disgustingly soggy,indigestion inducing curried veggie burger. We left the food and won't be back despite having just become members of the National Trust specifically to visit Shugborough on a weekly basis.

Visited local garden centre at Wolseley Bridge many times and eaten in the restaurant, having lunch and afternoon tea, including at Christmas. Will not be returning after experience last Friday. Drove my two neighbours there for the festive lunch and after a reasonable meal, nothing special, went to settle the bill for all of us as I had made the booking and paid the deposit. The girl on one of the two tills was trying to sort out payment from five ladies who also had made a group booking but wanted to pay separately. The system wasn't co-operating and she resorted to calling someone to help. That someone turned out to be the restaurant manager. After she figured out how to accommodate the various payments she turned to leave and I asked whether someone could please take my payment as I was not part of the other group and by this time I had been waiting patiently for about 15 minutes. She simply said they were all busy though by this time it was 2.30 pm and quiet. I asked whether she could do it herself but she said, quite rudely, that she had 'other things to do', turned and walked away. I suggested to her retreating back that perhaps her priority should be customer service but she took no notice. When finally I got to pay it took one minute. That one minute and a 'sorry' is all it would have taken to avoid this review.
