I'm assuming that this tearoom is the one we visited yesterday renamed the Mansion House tearoom. Had been looking forward to a tasty lunch only to be terribly disappointed. The swede soup with honey could have been anything, completely tasteless It was perhaps only excelled by the disgustingly soggy, indigestion inducing curried veggie burger. We left the food and won't be back despite having just become members of the National Trust specifically to visit Shugborough on a weekly basis.

These tea rooms are a disgrace! I had to wait an age to be served..the food was cold and poorly presented....when i complained I was treated with disdain and I felt uncomfortable the whole time I was there....I will never grace their doors again...awful

The lunches being served offer a reasonable choice; cooked meals, sandwiches, desserts and cakes that are well priced. It can get busy if there are any coach parties visiting. On sunny days there is outside eating space, some of which have umbrellas to protect against the sun. Wheel chair access is good.

We visited this evening (1.11.18) after being let down at another local restaurant, we were greeted warmly at the door, shown to a table and attended to by pleasant, efficient and helpful staff. The food was presented well, served hot and delicious, we will certainly return.

Convenient for a drink or a snack but not particularly welcoming. Always in a rush to shut so don't try it within ten minutes of closing time.

Plenty of nice cakes, sandwiches and some meals. Clean environment plenty of staff who are very attentive. This Tea room is part of the Shugborough Estate and only accessible if you pay the entrance fee. Well worth the visit but can get very busy at peak times

Called in today for a lunch , usually I have a morning Cappuchino and delicious teacake but today went for a Cappuchino and Cheese and onion toasty which was delicious! Came with an ample pot of Coleslaw and salad Lovely Crusty bread, I also had a "small" glass of the House Ros which was one of the nicest I have tasted and fully complemented the meal.

The website states you are dog friendly!!!! I think not..a miniature dachshund puppy was asleep on my husbands knees and after a drink was purchased he was told to put the dog on the floor!!!! All I can say is it was a good job I wasn't there..the puppy was not on the furniture and nowhere near the table..the floor was much worse because she was jumping up.on the chair to feel safe!!!! Never ever will we return, most definitely not dog friendly.

The Shrewsbury Arms is one of those traditional pubs with lots of nooks, crannies and little snugs. Add a roaring, real fire and it is cosiness at its best. There were the ubiquitous tellies on the walls for sport but, in much more traditional vein, there was also a large selection of board games for those of that persuasion. We were happy enough just to enjoy our beers by the fire, which felt particularly luxurious on such a freezing cold evening. Service was nice and this is a really good pub.
