Ate from the Sunday lunch menu. Food was great (best Steak Pie I've ever had). Service was very good. Friendly, polite and efficient staff. We enjoyed the quiet of the bar with our dog. 😋😋

Excellent pint, well worth a visit.

Had dinner and pudding there as we were on our summer break. Had starters and pudding which was Cheesy garlic bread that was so spot on so bloody yummy same with halloumi with sweet chilli sauce on side. Also had Bread and Butter pudding was to die for as it had apricots jam as well. I love the old fashioned dish like these. Wanted to visit the local pubs. Staff so friendly regarding the area linking with photos on the wall. Cosy pub on little hill. Relaxing and very clean. Need encourage ppl to visit that’s not local to the village. Had couple drinks as well as we stayed nearby for our break from London. Parking is opposite the pub as local car park (free)

Although the pub & restaurant was heaving, the staff were friendly & helpful. Service was spot on & the food was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble & although it will be difficult for us to visit again (100 miles between them & us) we will deffo be back.

Awful service and very unprofessional! Didn't have our booking of 14 people, slow, rude and borderline unkind. I would say the food was amazing but the service let everything down which is a shame.

Went out for my birthday meal been booked in well over a month, for us to arrive 15 minutes before our booking to be told they had no booking for us. We were then told don't panic we will sort it, because of the time we asked if they could sort something like a bowl of chips for our kids whilst we waited to which they agreed, only to later recind the initial offer Besides the owner all the staff were rude, unprofessional and tbh terrible! Took over 40 minutes to serve drinks, food took an eternity to arrive (it was not busy) Asked for kids meals to come out with starters because of how long took to serve, again did not happen Not even a token gesture for all the screw ups! After refusing to pay a penny one of the staff put hands on me eventually after asking 4/5 times the owner come out and after being called a liar, trying to scam a free meal we eventually agreed to get the bill from 325 to 250! On a positive note the owner seems like a genuine guy, food was excellent Would avoid like the plague

Lovely pub with great service, couldn't fault the staff at all 👍 The meals was fairly priced and drinks also. However the only down fall the chicken on the burger was overcooked and more like KFC chicken. The menu on the Internet was different compared to what was presented to us on the day. Presentation to meals and table layout was spot on. Parking outside the pub, lovely location and well kept 👌

Had a good meal here.The standard of food was very good. Staff were great also. On a personal note I found the portion a little small.Had. Sweet and all of us agreed they were great. Would go back sometime

Had a lovely meal this evening with my husband and Little girl. Becky was so welcoming on greeting us and making my little girl feel important. The young lady that was working with her was also very attentive and we didn’t have to wait long to be served food or drinks. Such a beautiful place to eat and drink. The food is wonderful. All freshly cooked and homemade. Highly recommend. A unique family owned business that offers an extensive menu with a real homely but professionally run feel. Can’t wait to go again!

Quiet Thursday lunch with my aged parents. The food is standard pub fare, but very high quality. I've eaten here a few times & the food has always been appetising and good value.

Stopped in for a spot of lunch while travelling through the area. Was so much better quality food than on offer from the takeaways in the local area, as well as offering a really comfortable place to sit and relax. I could easily spend a lot more time here if I was in the area for longer.

Great food and attentive service

Visited 06/12/23 for Christmas dinner (15 guests). We were all seated on time and dinner was served at the time stated. Absolutely first class food, piping hot and plenty of it! Excellent atmosphere in this pub, it was busy but the incredibly friendly staff coped extremely well. Without hesitation I would recommend this venue for food and a great selection of drinks.

Probably the best meal I have ever had in a pub, top restaurant quality food . Service was very good, real value for money worth every penny.

This was our first visit to the Bank House. It had been highly recommended by friends. I can honestly say that this is an amazing little gem of a place. We know our food & this place has a humble menu, which delivers big. Which is refreshing after many, many post covid disappointments. There was eight of us dining and not a bad meal between us. I can strongly recommend the Blade of Beef, Seafood Tagliatelle & the best Pork Belly I have had in many years. Deserts were not shy in their portions & tasted great. I can say this, as I was full after a great starter & main…. but managed to dip a fork into everyone else’s desert for research purposes. I was informed they kept a good pint and a well chosen red by someone who obviously knows their wine there, meant we had a 2015 red for £32 on the table. Amazing! It was a fabulous meal at a very decent price. Thank you to all the staff for their quick service and friendly welcoming smiles too. We had an amazing dining experience. Credit where credit due and we will be back.

Fantastic place. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and contemporary interior with a relaxed atmosphere. Food is amazing. The Chef and kitchen team are clearly dedicated and produce a wonderful choice of expertly prepared and flavoursome dishes. Cheesecake is out of this world. Highly recommended!

Visited whilst spending some time with the family. Lovely food, we had mains from the Winter menu and included Chicken Kiev, Seafood Tagliatelle, Gammon Steak as well as a Mac and Cheese, all very good. lovely service and a nice pint, highly recommended.

Nice food in pleasant surroundings and decent service.

It was a very quiet Saturday lunch, hence the reduced atmosphere rating, however the restaurant was spotlessly clean and the service excellent. The choice of food was very good and portion sizes generous, there is an option for smaller plate meals too. As the only vegan in the group I was initially disappointed with the menu, but when I asked which meals could be adapted was pleasantly surprised at the choice and effort they went too to accommodate me, thank you. The deserts too were beautifully presented and the lemon sponge with raspberry sorbet was a wonderful treat. Would recommend.

We were recommended the Bank House by a friend. We've now been 3 times in as many weeks. The food is excellent if a little over generous in portion size. The steaks are particularly good.The service is very good and for what you get, it's excellent value for money.

Very good meal with excellent service. Parking is across the road from the pub. Dog friendly but only in the bar. Meals can be served in the bar area. Outdoor seating area as well.

This place was recommended by a local. Called in for a simple lunch, couldn’t resist the steak ciabatta, it was truly delightful, made with love, my pint of cask ale was really good too. Will look forward to revisiting
