I knew I would be in Bridgnorth mid-afternoon and would want a late light lunch, so I checked out Tripadvisor. Pelucci had good reviews so that was my choice. What a choice it was ... thank you to everyone who worked there. I had a bowl of the best onion soup that I've had in many a year. It was accompanied by soft fresh granary bread and an excellent cappuccino. That sounds like a simple meal, which it was, but sometimes simplicity is the best.
My table was cleared, from the previous occupant, and wiped down before I had even sat down. It is obviously a popular place with local people and they were busy when I went in. The members of staff that I spoke to were all friendly and extremely efficient.
The coffee bar (and much more) is tucked away, by the Town Hall, at the back of Urban Angel, which is an upmarket gift/clothes shop, and it may not be initially apparent that it is there... that is where Trip advisor comes into its own as people recommend the unusual.
I go to Bridgnorth every couple of years.... I do hope Pelucci is there for my next visit.
La ensalada Caesar es la mejor que he probado (y viví en Nueva York durante tres años). He probado este plato de Semolino en varias ocasiones y es consistentemente excelente. ¡Dense un capricho! ¡Vale cada centavo! ¡Gracias Semolino!
Great pizza and lovely staff! Would 100% recommend if you are in the area. The Spicy Nduja & Chilli pizza is incredible. Best pizza in the area by a mile! 🍕
Ordered a takeaway tonight for me and the family. It was amazing, the quality of the food was outstanding. Very happy definitely will be ordering again soon 😊
We stopped for lunch after an energetic walk. The bakery serves light lunches and the most amazing bread. The charming young lady who served us was a credit to her community: friendly and welcoming. Beautifully crafted furniture and the premises were spotless. The young ladies were singing while they were working, so lovely to hear.
We shall return.

Lovely little quaint tea room. Gentleman that owns it was very nice. We stopped before having an appointment in the town centre for our daughter. Never been to Market Drayton before, and thought we’d stop and get a late breakfast. The four of us had a full English breakfast each and pot of tea all round. Food was such good quality and we all really enjoyed it. I’d definitely recommend!
This was the first time we had visited The Merchant House and was very pleasantly surprised. From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The owner/chef/bar tender created 2 delicious cocktails for us. We didn't have time to try one of the extremely tempting meals this time but have booked to come in again next weekend.
Highly recommend trying - you will not be disappointed.
My wife and I had a meal here for my birthday. The menu was great and I was told what dishes could be adapted to be gluten free. I chose the fish platter and the chef (who was gluten free herself) came out to reassure me. If all restaurants could be like this I would be a very happy man. 5 stars!!!
Fab coffee, tea and cake, thought it was closed at first and could do with a sign at the bottom of the road. Fab hidden gem, enjoyed the chucks visiting and the black and white cat proudly displaying his/her latest kill? Great place to sit out and enjoy the rare sunshine and tranquility of the nearby church.
Brilliant time at Knock & Snitch as always, great atmosphere for me and my friends to have some gorgeous cocktails! Couldn’t thank the staff enough, a special mention to Taz for looking after us throughout the night, she did a brilliant job! We will of course be back very soon!
Great deli in Church Stretton. The staff were friendly and obviously knew about the food they were selling. Very good range of savoury and sweet food and if you’ve never had fidget pie then this is the place to visit, well worth it.
My partner and I were in the area for a few hours and HEAT was recommended to us so we popped in for lunch with our young son. We were definitely not disappointed! The food was exceptionally tasty; so many yummy options to choose from including a brilliant ‘build-a-box’ with a wide range of delicious protein, carbs, fresh veg/salad and homemade sauces. We plumped for a halloumi burger each, with a shared side of ‘dirty fries’ and a smoothie each- one berry and one banana, coconut & lime. The food was incredibly tasty and the smoothies were fruity and refreshing.
The staff were all really friendly, smiley, helpful and went out of their way to make our experience with them a good one. The open kitchen to the side of the counter looks impeccably clean and well kept, the food is prepared and cooked from fresh and this takes a little time- which it should- so be prepared to have a wait of a few minutes.
The chef let us know that dirty fries usually come with bacon and asked if either of us is veggie. I am, so they helpfully split the portion to give us half in one box without bacon and half in the second box with bacon for my partner.
All the food was nicely presented and incredibly tasty. The satay sauce on the sweet potato fries was so yummy.
We sat in and ate, whereas most of the cafe’s custom was takeaway while we were there- they obviously do very well from local custom at lunchtime because people were ringing ahead and collecting orders and bringing in lists of orders from their colleagues.
They do need to invest in a high chair or two, but this didn’t spoil our visit in any way. Our son was happy enough to sit in his pushchair to eat his packed lunch (& despite being a fussy eater he was chomping away on our fries and halloumi and enjoying sampling our smoothies).
Decor in HEAT is stylish and simple and it is very clean and hygienic.
All in all a great visit to a really lovely healthy food cafe which deserves the support of local custom. We will certainly be back (we may even travel up from Shrewsbury to Oswestry just to eat here again).
